The Dirty Pearls will rock the recession with a headlining appearance at the Bowery Ballroom tonight. The “Supergroup of the East Village” will present their own stimulus package as they cap off the gritty night of 4 bands for $15. The Dirty Pearls' last headlining appearance at the Bowery was a record-setting sell-out, breaking the previous attendance record held by Amy Winehouse. Join the band as they do it again along with Statues Of Liberty, Neil Nathan, and the Chainsaw Trio. The raucous night includes drink specials, free, limited edition CD's featuring all of the night's performers, and lots of down and dirty rock n roll! Doors open at 7:00 PM. the Bowery Ballroom is located at 6 Delancey Street.Hailing from the streets of New York City, the Dirty Pearls are fueled by sex, drugs and rock n' roll bravado. The band delivers sharp hooks and witty lyrics with a seedy swagger reminiscent of the finest 1970's-era rock acts. Their high-energy shows make hearts pound, feet stomp and heads explode with NYC-style rock n' roll. The band-singer Tommy London, guitarists Johnny B. and Richie White, bassist Doug Wright and drummer Marty E.-has opened for the New York Dolls, Bret Michaels, Twisted Sister and Jesse Malin, among many others. Their tunes have been played on the hit series "The Hills" and other MTV shows and they won "Top Performance" for an appearance on Fox's "Fearless Music TV."The Dirty Pearls have sold out every live show since their 2007 debut, breaking attendance records at hot spots like Mercury Lounge, Snitch, the Delancey, Arlene's Grocery and the Bowery Ballroom.
