ROBIN WILLIAMS CHECKS INTO HOSPITAL

Robin Williams

Hollywood star Robin Williams has been admitted to a Miami, Florida hospital to be treated for heart issues, according to media reports. The actor sparked fears for his health on Wednesday yesterday, when he was ordered by doctors to take a week of rest after complaining of shortness of breath. The news prompted the actor, who was scheduled to perform his one-man comedy show Weapons of Self-Destruction at venues across Florida this week, to cancel gigs lined-up until Monday to recuperate. A statement released by the star’s representatives said: "Williams was experiencing shortness of breath and is currently being evaluated by doctors who are recommending a week of rest." New reports suggest Williams’ health concerns are far more severe. The Miami Herald alleges the star checked into an Intensive Care Unit to seek treatment for a heart problem.
