I think Courtney Friel [Fox News Channel] is a hottie! She’s great! I just saw her the other night. She’s so beautiful! Yeah, I agree. There’re a lot of good-looking people doing the news. I’m not sure if that’s a requirement or not though. You look at these girls and they’re all educated and talented. So, it’s not just based on looks. Although, they happen to be blessed with looks.
POSING FOR PLAYBOY:
I’m very happy and confident of my past. I did Playboy because it was something that I always wanted to do. I’m very thankful and lucky to be one of the few to be chosen to pose. Now I’m here for the past five years at WPIX. Yes, I was in Playboy. Yes, I used to dress up like Santa Claus and cut down Christmas trees and yes, I used to work at a deli! All of those things just make me the person who I am. I wouldn’t change a thing. Playboy is something that I’m proud of, and I’m still proud of it today.
ON LOSING MISS LONG ISLAND CROWN FOR POSING NUDE:
I won the crown and all of a sudden someone said, “Hey, that girl was in Playboy.” I admitted it. I didn’t try to hide it from anyone. However, there’s a morality contract in the pageant rules that states you have to be a moral and ethical person, which I am, but their interpretation of being moral and ethical means not posing in Playboy magazine. If they put that in the contract, I would have told them about it. Anyway, they said they didn’t find me fit to represent Miss Long Island.
Chaunce Hayden: How did you respond?
I released a statement that said, “I do not want to represent a pageant system that does not believe in me.” So, they did not take my crown back. It was my choice to give it back. That’s how it went down. I’m the one who told them to take their crown back.
ON DATING SHOCK JOCK ANTHONY CUMIA (OPIE AND ANTHONY)
At the time I was thinking I met a great person. I thought he was a very, very nice guy and very kind and very funny. I loved his personality. So when people ask me that question, “What was I thinking?” I can only say that, sometimes, love is blind. Now I know not to be so trusting and keep my private life private. I don’t rush into things so quickly now. Everything happens for a reason and everything in life that you go through makes you a stronger person.
