New Jersey boy Bruce Springsteen regrets giving the retailer Wal-Mart the exclusive rights to one of his albums, calling the decision "a mistake."The CD, a 12-track collection of his greatest hits, went on sale in Wal-Mart stores on January 10th.The move made Springsteen fans angry who claimed that teaming up with the retail giant, whose bosses have been accused of anti-union practices, conflicted with The Boss' principles. In an interview with the New York Times, Springsteen has admitted the decision was made too fast. He says, "Given its labor history, it was something that if we'd thought about it a little longer, we'd have done something different. It was a mistake."Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one. Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be."
