DONALD TRUMP'S LAWSUIT OVER PROFITS

Real Estate King and Reality Show star Donald Trump has filed suit against an Israeli developer who allegedly used his name to boost sales of a luxury property development and is demanding a share of the profits.Trump has filed legal papers at Manhattan Supreme Court claiming he licensed the name Trump Plaza to luxury condo builder, Crescent Heights Diamond, for the construction of a 70-storey tower in Israeli capital Tel Aviv.Trump allegedly signed a deal giving a 25 per cent share on each unit sold in return for the use of his brand name. But the company later sold the $44 million land to another development company for $80 million and Trump insists he deserves a slice of the $36 million profit. He tells The New York Post, "They (Crescent Heights Diamond), announce with tremendous fanfare that Trump is their partner. Then, instead of building, they flip the site. They used my name to pump up the value, then made a big profit."We put this site on the map, and under the contract they are obligated to complete the project. They are not good representatives for the great state of Israel and they should be ashamed of themselves." Crescent’s lawyer Saul Sack refutes the claims, saying Trump "is not entitled to any compensation", adding, "The lawsuit is without merit."

MAZARIN, New York's favorite band for 30 years once again returned to the famed Cutting Room on West 24th street in New York City. Believe it or not, I have been rocking with them for all three decades. Back in the day, the drinking age was 18, drivers licenses had no photo on them and you were partying in the clubs as young as 14 as long as your license description matched you. I met them when they first played at The Wooden Ships Inn in Glenwood Landing Long Island. Times were so different then. You could drink and drive. Everyone smoked marijuana. I would drive by a cop with a beer in one hand and a joint in the other and they would wave at me. If you ever got pulled over, they would either tell you to drive more carefully or take you home themselves. Everyone knew everyone back then, there was a community. Mazarin was my family. We had more adventures than I can even remember. There was Hot Dog Beach where I fell of the stage while trying to introduce them and had a mouth full of sand. I later passed out and only woke up when the tide came in and I was floating. There was Dingy Dans in the Rockaways where I got stranded because I was getting laid on the beach. Lucky I found Doug Mazarin roaming around and he drove me back to Long Island. I did a strip tease on the stage at the Wooden Ships Inn. Didn't even remember until the next night people kept asking me if I was keeping my clothes on tonight. We had Rum Runners in Oyster Bay where hundreds of girls would line up to talk to Doug And Marc Mazarin. We had our own babysitter at the Wooden Ships Inn who saw more guys than the Mayflower Madam. Times have changed, but one thing remains the same. Mazarin is still the number one band in New York. They are still rocking after all these years. Voted so many times the top band in New York by Good Times Magazine, they still continue to pack any place they play. Last night was no exception. The place was mobbed, packed to the hill. And 30 years later, we are still standing after surviving the 70's and 80's, a little older but still Rockin N Rolling !

JUDGE DELAYS MADONNA ADOPTION CASE

A judge at Malawi’s High Court has delayed pop star Madonna's adoption hearing until next week.The singer and her hubby Guy Ritchie’s adoption of two-year-old David Banda was expected to be finalized today. But the judge overseeing the case has cancelled the court date in order to allow him more time to talk with adoption officials.Madonna’s lawyer, Alan Chinula, says, "We are finished with the proceedings today from our side, and the judge has decided to reserve his ruling on the case until next week because he has to review the recommendations from the Malawi Human Rights Commission on the adoption laws of Malawi." A new date for the court hearing - which Madonna and Ritchie are not required to attend - is due to be announced in the next few days.The judge’s final ruling will end a 20-month long saga, since Madonna brought Banda back to the U.K. from a Malawian orphanage in October 2006, when he was just 13 months old.

WOLFGANG PUCK BATTLES OVER HIS NAME

Restaurant icon Wolfgang Puck is accusing a fellow restaurateur of cashing in on his fame by using his name to open a rival eatery,even though the other cook is also called Wolfgang. Puck, who owns a series of restaurants under his business name Wolfgang Puck Companies, is threatening to file a lawsuit against Wolfgang Zwiener, who he claims has copied his trademark name. Zwiener has opened a rival restaurant called Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, just blocks from Puck’s Spago eatery in Beverly Hills, California. According to gossip website TMZ, one of the owners of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse had a license to use the trademarked name, but that expired last year. And Puck is furious his name is frequently being linked to a restaurant which has nothing to do with him - because it confuses his loyal customers. He says, "The most common reaction is, ‘It says Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and you are Wolfgang.’" If Puck does goes through with the lawsuit, he plans to claim damages for trademark infringement and unfair competition.

Stern and his crew joked about the audio, stating they were "shocked to hear Dolly talking like that", and the host himself called it "disgusting" - but the country star was far from amused.The doctored tape also featured Parton apparently ridiculing Burt Reynolds, Kenny Rogers and beloved television host Johnny Carson.The angry singer says, "I have never been so shocked, hurt and humiliated in all my life. I cannot believe what Howard Stern has done to me."I would never have such vulgar things come out of my mouth. She tells USA Today newspaper, "That was a metaphor for a couple of things.One is that I breast-fed (son) Ben for three-and-a-half years, so I gave away all my milk."There was no need for that (breast) anymore." Simon also maintains that past heartbreaks weakened that area of her body.

Bosses at the huge Prada fashion house, who own the Miu Miu brand, has confirmed the French actress will replace Kirsten Dunst as their spokesmodel for the 2008 and 2009. Paradis, who has been a Chanel model for several years and has now signed a contract with Prada for an undisclosed amount.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO TAKES ON JAMES BOND

Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio is going to play James Bond creator Ian Fleming.The actor’s production company Appian Way will did into the famous British writer’s life in Fleming. DiCaprio’s production partner Andrew Lazar says, "The idea that this guy’s life informed the James Bond character is pretty fascinating." The film, based on Damian Stevenson’s screenplay, will begin on the eve of Fleming’s 1952 wedding in Jamaica - just before his first novel, Casino Royale, was published.Flashbacks will show Fleming’s pre-Bond life as a correspondent for news agency Reuters and as a naval intelligence expert during World War Two.It is not known if DiCaprio will play any role in the film.

GOLD DIGGER HEATHER MILLS SETTLES SUITS

The bitch herself, Heather Mills has settled a privacy claim against a British newspaper, after she launched action against the publication for leaking details of her divorce to Paul McCartney. The gold digger, filed the claim against Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper in 2006 after it published the private details. Mills also filed claims of libel against two other British newspapers London’s Evening Standard and The Sun. According to an agreed statement between Mills’ legal team and three U.K.publications, the claims have now been settled "on terms satisfactory to the parties".The statement adds, "The terms of the settlement remain confidential and the parties, along with Sir Paul McCartney, will be making no further public statement." McCartney and Mills reached a divorce settlement last March when a London court awarded Mills $48.6 million. The marriage was noted as officially over on Monday, when a judge at the High Court in London granted a decree nisi.
