NICOLE KIDMAN THROUGH HELL AND BACK

Nicole Kidman And Ketih Urban

Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman's marriage to Country music singer Keith Urban has already faced its ultimate test, his alcohol problems forced the then-newlyweds to go "to hell and back." Only months after her famed 2006 wedding to the Country star, Urban checked himself into rehab to deal with ongoing alcohol issues, and now Kidman reveals she feels as if she and her husband went through 10 years of marriage in just a short few months. She tells Parade magazine, "We were thrown into his alcohol problem three months into the marriage, and that was big. We became the closest we could become, because we had to bare our souls. We did 10 years of marriage in three months. You go to hell and back with this. When the addiction takes control of the life, it's terrifying."Urban spent six months trying to beat alcoholism and now Kidman feels proud of the effort her man made to change his life. She adds, "There is hope, and we work on it every day, and we are in a place of actual peace right now, which is a beautiful place."I love him so deeply, and he has done an amazing amount of work, and he is an amazing husband, and I am just very, very grateful."Kidman also says that motherhood has turned her into a sobbing wreck, she weeps just thinking about her little baby girl. The Aussie actress, gave birth to Sunday Rose last July and she still can't believe she's a mom after a series of false hopes and a horrible miscarriage. She tells Parade magazine, "I'm raw and emotional. I cry even thinking of her, but they are tears of joy."I never thought I would get to have it. To have been given it so late in life I'm so ready for it."And I think giving birth to a child, as a woman, is what we're born to do. I don't mean that to sound sexist, because many women don't get to do it, and I thought I was one of them."If you are given that gift, it's an extraordinary thing."
