Elegance. Intimacy. Style. Service. These are the keys to the ultimate nightlife experience. Yet today, all seem to be missing from the overly sleek, ultra-impersonal New York club scene. After being under-whelmed repeatedly by the industry as a whole, nightlife veteran Aram Sabat set out to design a place that epitomized all of the elements above. That place is now 49 Grove.Sabat has taken his years of experience in the industry to create a dream space that appeals to any New Yorker seeking a chill, yet exciting night out. The decadent environment is heightened by the space’s modern classic dŽcor that features oversized velvet couches, supple leather ottomans, breathtaking framed photography and shelves lined with leather-bound books. An extensive bar menu that lists only the finest top-shelf liquor and wines will satisfy even the most discerning pallet. And for the music lover, 49 Grove features an audio system designed by G.E.M Audio Services — the same sound whizzes who created systems for both Avery Fischer Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Located on picturesque Grove Street, 49 Grove (once a speakeasy during the prohibition era) has already played host to such high-profile events as the Narsico Rodiguez fashion show after-party hosted by Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, the Saturday Night Live after-party hosted by Johnny Knoxville as well as the premiere of the hit E! reality show, Gatsineau Girls. The unique four-room layout has also become a private playground to celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Damon Dash, Drea De Matteo, Wilmer Valderama, Kimberly Stewart and Danny Masterson.
