NO SOPRANOS MOVIE IN THE WORKS

The Sopranos

David Chase, the creator of the Sopranos has delivered a shock to fans hoping for a movie version of the hit television show, he has signed a deal to make a new movie unconnected to the hit mob drama.Rumors of a movie have circulated since the last episode of The Sopranos aired last year. Hopes were raised earlier this year when the owner of the real life strip club that featured in the show was tipped off about plans for a movie. Nick D’Urso, the boss of New Jersey’s Satin Dolls, which doubles for the Bada Bing, told a local newspaper, "I got an inside tip that they’re going to do a movie, so I don’t want to make any major changes. I’m not going to reveal my sources, but we got a call from somebody (working) on the script." A number of cast members have also expressed a desire to return to the New Jersey set. But Chase won’t be reuniting them for a while at least - he has signed a deal with Paramount Studios to create an "original drama".
