One of the most glamorous evenings on the social calendar – the El Museo Gala is the premiere Latino and Latin Charity Gala in New York City. Since it’s founding in 1969 El Museo has become the nation’s leading Latino and Latin American cultural institution. Guests were invited to wear white or black with long gloves and tiaras. Tonight’s gala raised over $850,000 for El Museo, New York City's only Latino museum dedicated to Puerto Rican, Caribbean and Latin American art. Renovation is under way; galleries are currently closed and will reopen Fall 2009. El Museo del Barrio. For over twenty years, Nicole Miller has been a principal of America’s design elite.
