Emperors Club favorite Client number 9, Eliot Spitzer, gave his resignation speech this morning in the wake of revelations that he patronized prostitutes while traveling on official New York State business. The New York Governor allegedly dropped up to $80,000 on sex with prostitutes, sources revealed last night to the New York Post. The married politician has been hopping into bed with harlots for as long as a decade and traveled as far as Florida for steamy trysts, sources told the newspaper. One of them, a 22-year-old call girl who goes by the name "Sienna" on her Web site, told ABC News that Spitzer paid her for sex two years ago when he was still attorney general. He tipped big and "didn't do anything that wasn't clean," she added. "In the past few days I've begun to atone for my private failings with my wife Silda, my children and my entire family," Spitzer told reporters after 11 a.m, from his Manhattan office. Since news of Spitzer's penchant for the happy hookers went public there had much speculation that he wanted to barter his resignation in exchange for a no-jail time plea bargain with federal prosecutors. "There is no agreement between this office and Governor Eliot Spitzer, relating to his resignation or any other matter," Michael Garcia, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said in a statement minutes after Spitzer's announcement. Spitzer could be in violation of federal regulations over his attempt to hide bank transfers to Emperors Club VIP, a call girl ring.

Editors Note: When the Governor travels anywhere, he has a team of security made up of New York City Police Officers. Why isn't anyone questioning the fact that most likely they knew what Spitzer was doing? Shouldn't this also be investigated?
