TIMBALAND DOES NOT WANT NUT BRITNEY

Timbaland reportedly doesn't want Britney Spears to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. The hip-hop producer - who is the event's musical director - is said to be worried Britney's comeback appearance at the awards on September 9 could overshadow the other performances. A source is quoted by E! Online as saying: "Timbaland doesn't want her on the show. He thinks it would be too much drama, and that she is going to take away from the other performers." Britney is thought to be in the middle of negotiations with MTV music executives about opening the show. Representatives for MTV, Timbaland and Britney refused to comment on the rumors. Performers already lined up for the Las Vegas awards ceremony include Timbaland, Rihanna, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, Foo Fighters, Lil' Wayne, T-Pain, Cee-Lo and Daniel Merriweather. Britney's pop comeback gathered pace last night when her new single 'Gimme More' premiered on US radio. The track is the singer's first new release since 2005.
