PARIS HILTON'S WELCOME HOME PARTY

Paris Hilton's family held a welcome home party for her yesterday. Her parent's Bel-Air mansion saw family and friends celebrating with the heiress after her release from California county jail. Paris' aunt Kyle Richards said: "She's very happy to be home - very, very happy. She's going to relax and spend family time."I think she's just excited to be at home and be with her family."Pink balloons, pink hydrangeas, pink roses, yellow lilies and a white frosted cake decorated with the words 'Welcome Home' were delivered to the home. The president of Taco Bell - one of the 26-year-old favourite fast food restaurants - Greg Creed sent Paris a letter informing her of a special delivery.Unfortunately the four bags of food were stopped by security and instead made their way into the mouths of the media and police officers outside the front gates. Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca was called to court yesterday to justify his decision to originally transfer her to home arrest on June 7. Sheriff Baca said: "Our doctors said we had no solution to Hilton's medical problems. None."As a sheriff in this county, I'm not going to let any inmate die in this jail."What's worth more - a person spending time in a county jail for driving on a suspended license or a person losing her life?"She was at a place where we couldn't fix whatever that medical problem was with the resources we have. We knew this problem was not going to get better."We were placed in a very unusual and awkward position with Ms. Hilton."Paris' mystery illness has still not been revealed. The day after she was first released the Los Angeles Superior Court judge, who had sentenced her, called her to court and ordered her to return to jail where she spent a further 18 days.
