BITTER divorcee actress Ellen Barkin hurled a glass of cold water in her ex's face when he approached her in a restaurant.The Sea Of Love star also accused Revlon billionaire Ronald Perelman of being a wife beater. Barkin, 52, had not seen Perelman since he ordered her out of his Manhattan mansion in January. Last month, she sold off all the jewellery he gave her during their six-year marriage for almost 22 million. Barkin was in New York's Waverly Inn when she saw Perelman. A witness said she warned him: "Don't come any closer." The witness said Perelman kept advancing and leaned in as if to kiss her on the cheek. At that point, Barkin hurled the water at him. He asked Barkin, his fourth wife: "What did you do that for? That wasn't very nice." She replied: "Really? Wife beater." When he went to the toilet to dry himself off, Barkin quickly paid the bill and left. On her way out, she stopped at Perelman's table and told his date, psychotherapist Anna Chapman: "I feel sorry for you." A spokesman for the 63-year-old tycoon said: "It is pitiful that Ms Barkin has fabricated a reason to justify an unprovoked attack on him." A spokesman for Barkin declined to comment.
