CLINT EASTWOOD HAD TO BEG FOR MILLION

Clint Eastwood had to beg movie bosses to let him make 'Million Dollar Baby'.The Hollywood legend says it was a battle to convince studio bosses to make the tragic film - which went on to win four Oscars in 2005 including Best Picture and Best Director for Clint. He told Parade magazine: "The movie studios aren't always happy with me. When I wanted to make 'Million Dollar Baby' they said, 'Who wants to see a picture about a girl boxing?' and I said, 'It's really a father-daughter love story. Boxing just happens to be what's going on.'"This isn't the first time Clint has proved the major studios wrong. He explained: "When I wanted to make 'Mystic River', the studio said, 'Oh no, it's so dark', and I said, 'Well it's important. And it's a nice story.''Mystic River' was another Academy Award winner - Sean Penn picked up Best Actor, while Tim Robbins won Best Supporting Actor at the 2003 Oscars.
