  Jean Shafiroff And Martin Shafiroff Martin & Jean Shafiroff, the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and Oscar de la Renta held a private cocktail event in Manhattan to celebrate the upcoming grand exhibition, Endless Summer: Palm Beach Resort Wear, presented in partnership with The Palm Beaches and opening November 9th at the Richard and Pat Johnson History Museum in West Palm Beach, owned by the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. The luxury brand’s support of the exhibit also celebrates an ongoing collaboration to preserve and share fashion history in Palm Beach. Jean Shafiroff Style icon Jean Shafiroff showed up at this year's American Ballet Theater Gala looking picture perfect in an Oscar de la Renta gown from her private collection. The gown was originally designed by Mr. de la Renta in 2012 for his Spring Collection. To complete her look, Ms. Shafiroff wore pristine white leather opera length gloves. While most women would hesitate to wear a gown that was 7 years old, Jean Shafiroff proudly wore the gown which was a red carpet winner.  This year's American Ballet Spring Gala was held on May 20, 2019 at the Metropolitan Opera House. The event honored Andrew F. Barth and Alexei Ratmansky. Over $2,000,000 was raised. Jean Shafiroff New York City and Hamptons philanthropist Jean Shafiroff arrived at the 22nd ASPCA Bergh Ball in a striking hand painted yellow, black and white Oscar de la Renta ball gown. Ms. Shafiroff who is known for her extensive ball gown collection and her philanthropy is also a huge animal lover and an animal activist. Ms. Shafiroff serves as an Ambassador for the American Humane and as the Ambassador for the Southampton Animal Shelter. In addition, she serves on the Honorary Board of the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation and the Board of Global Strays. In the animal world, she is particularly known for her generosity and volunteer fund raising for Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. The ASPCA held its 22nd Annual ASPCA Bergh Ball at the Plaza Hotel in NYC on April 25, 2019. Jean Shafiroff At Met Gala Society' fashion icon Jean Shafiroff was spotted at the MET Opera Gala chatting with friend Don Lemon of CNN. The two seemed to be enjoying the production of Samson et Dalila at the Opening Night Gala.  Jean Shafiroff With Don Lemon Jean And Martin Shafiroff   Shafiroff was seen wearing a striking Oscar de la Renta ballgown from the Fall 2018 collection. The Metropolitan Opera is the largest classical music organization in North America. It presents about 27 different operas each year in a season which lasts from late September through May. Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff hit a high note at the American Ballet Theater Gala recently when she made her entrance in a striking silk and sequin Oscar de la Renta ballgown. The fashion icon's choice of gown was particularly fresh and dazzling. The sequin letters on the ballgown spell out the designer's name, OSCAR. The gown is a celebrity favorite of the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2018 collection. The American Ballet Theater Gala, always a favorite of both celebrities and New York's elite, was held at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center. Jean Shafiroff And Peter Coping Peter Coping , the new designer for Oscar de la Renta , outdid himself at his Fall 2016 Fashion Show.  The designer was spotted backstage posing with fashion icon Jean Shafiroff right after the show which was held at the Prince George Ballroom in New York City. Ms. Shafiroff wore a cranberry silk dress designed by Mr. Coping.  The Oscar de la Renta show is one of the hottest shows of the season with every major fashion editor attending. Seen in the audience were Anna Wintour of Vogue, Amy Fine Collins of Vanity Fair, Hamish Bowles of Vogue, Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman, Fern Mallis, Annette de la Renta and many celebrities.

Sponsored by Cartier, the Gala, entitled from the Runway to the Ballet, featured choreographers Peter Martins, Troy Schumacher, Robert Binet, Myles Thatcher and Justin Peck. Jean Shafiroff In Oscar de la Renta Masterpiece Jean Shafiroff was snapped wearing a once in a lifetime dress, Oscar de la Renta's last designed masterpiece at the Metropolitan Opera Gala the other night. The philanthropist and style icon, Mrs Shafiroff turned hundreds of heads as she swanned down the red carpet at the Met's Opening Night Gala performance of Othello. Ms. Shafiroff's navy blue confection adorned with hundreds of dripping teardrop little faux diamonds was Oscar de la Renta's last great creation before his death. The gown was featured in his Pre-Fall 2015 collection. Others attending the Metropolitan Opera Gala Performance and Dinner Opening included Bette Midler, Jessican Chastain, Diane von Fustenberg, Helen Miren, Drew Barrymore, Barry Diller, Brooke Shields Renne Fleming, Mercedes Bass, Gina Gershon, Patricia Clarkson and Peter Gelb.

Jean Shafiroff In Oscar de la Renta Jean Shafiroff is set to wear Oscar de la Renta's final masterpiece created before his death to the Metropoitan Opera Gala on Monday, September 21, 2015. Jean Shafiroff, the iconic ballgown collector, will wear Oscar de la Renta's last great masterpiece from the designer's pre-Fall 2015 collection. The creation which she will only describe as a fantasy gown, will be worn only once by Mrs.Shafiroff. It then will be meticulously stored along with other priceless museum quality designer gowns. Mrs. Shafiroff plans to donate her iconic collection of designer ballgowns to a United States Museum sometime in the near future. Jean Shafiroff Recently In Oscar de la Renta Oscar de la Renta's new designer Peter Copping presents his second collection for Spring Summer 2016 and receives rave reviews. Oscar de la Renta showcased its second collection since the death of its founder with a display of Spanish inspired elegance designed by the British Peter Copping. The show took place on Wednesday, September 15, 2015 at the Prince George Ballroom on East 28th Street. Jean Shafiroff The Memorial Service for Oscar de la Renta was this week at St. Ignatius Loyola in New York City.  His family has asked that  donations in his honor be donated to New Yorkers For Children , a nonprofit that helps the  children in foster care in New York City.  (There are over 12,000 children in foster care in New York City alone.) The charity is based on Fashion Avenue.  We spoke with Fashion icon Jean Shafiroff, and she is planning that someday she will donate all of her OSCAR DE LA RENTA gowns to a museum. (The collection is very large and contains one of a kind pieces.) Jean Shafiroff is a well known NYC philanthropist, and is on the Couture Council board, and a collector of Oscar de la Renta ballgowns wearing Oscar de la Renta in early 2014 at the Oscar de la Renta boutique for The Style Inspiration"; Oscar de la Renta; and Life of Oscar de la Renta. Jean Shafiroff In Oscar de la Renta Jean Shafiroff, noted philanthropist who is actively involved as a volunteer fundraiser and leader of several New York City and Southampton charitable causes, has been elected to NYC Mission Society’s Board of Directors, effective October 15, 2014. Ms. Shafiroff already has devoted her time to helping NYC Mission Society. On March 12, 2014, Ms. Shafiroff was honored by NYC Mission Society at its annual Gala and received the Dina Merrill Award for Public Service. FAMED FASHION DESIGNER OSCAR DE LA RENTA DEAD

Oscar de la Renta Famed fashion icon Oscar de la Renta,who designed Americas First Ladies including Jackie Kennedy, Betty Ford, Nancy Reagan, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush has died at 82. He recently designed Michelle Obama's dress for a White House party and the wedding gown worn by George Clooney‘s new wife, Amal Alamuddin. No other details were available on how de la Renta died. The award-winning designer was born on July 22, 1932, in Santo Domingo, and became one of the happening designers for American First Ladies and celebrities. Recently in 2006, the fashion legend was was diagnosed with cancer. Last year, Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Executive Director Fern Mallis called him "the sultan of suave." At that event, he spoke of his cancer, saying, "Yes, I had cancer. Right now, I am totally clean. The only realities in life are that you are born, and that you die.
