**** STARS WITH A HEART **** Keith Lockhart With Joey McIntyre Holiday music will fill the halls at Children’s Hospital Boston as Keith Lockhart and members of the Boston Pops performed an exclusive holiday concert for Children’s Hospital patients today. Joey McIntyre, the youngest member of the New Kids on the Block, joined Keith and members of the Pops to spread holiday cheer among patients and their families with Yuletide tunes such as Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, The Twelve Days of Christmas, and Sleigh Ride, as well as a seasonal sing-along. Mr. McIntyre also followed the Pops back to Symphony Hall, to appear as a guest narrator on A Visit from St. Nicholas (“’Twas the Night Before Christmas”), and a vocalist on Winter Wonderland and O Holy Night during the 4 p.m. matinee Boston Pops performance. NEW KIDS COMING BACK TO THE BLOCK

They are all almost 40, but the New Kids On The Block are returning to the neighborhood.The hit boy band, which sold 70 million albums in the 1980s and early '90s, has reunited and plans to release a new album and go on a world tour. The reunion comes 20 years after the release of the group's multi-platinum album, Hanging Tough. "The fan response to this has been incredible," band member Donnie Wahlberg told the Boston Herald. Wahlberg said he was persuaded to get back together with his former band mates - Joey McIntyre, brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight and Danny Wood - when they decided to record new music. Wahlberg said he wrote 80% of the new material with McIntyre and Jordan Knight. "I had no interest going out on a nostalgia tour and singing the same material," said Wahlberg, 38.
