  Tod Lippy  NEW YORK, NY - Tod Lippy, the polymath creative force behind the award-winning arts publication Esopus, will release his latest musical project, Midterms, a six track EP this July 15th, 2022 following the recent release of the single “Bob” which features on the forthcoming project.  Midterms is the third album from Lippy following the well-received LPs Here We Are (2019) and Yearbook (2021), both produced by the legendary Kramer (Low, Galaxy 500). The message behind the rest of Midterms EP is anything but vague: “This country is grappling with a dark period of hyper-polarization, distrust in institutions, and economic instability,” Lippy says. “Midterms is my attempt to come to terms with, and maybe even try to make some sense of, this reality.” The other songs on the album deal with issues ranging from toxic television personalities and celebrity culture to armchair activism and apathy in general. Madonna NYC-based online celebrity auction house GottaHaveRockandRoll.com will be hosting The Rock and Roll Pop Culture Auction from July 11-20, 2018. One of the featured items in this auction is a never-before-seen handwritten love letter from Madonna to another woman, Amanda Cazalet, who appeared in her steamy 1990 "Justify My Love" music video, which was banned from MTV for sexual explicitness. In the letter, Madonna writes, "I know you are married and pregnant and I cannot explain my attraction - nevertheless it's there."
