Nicknamed Monsieur le Président by his community, armed with nothing but hustle and hope, he responded to the earthquake by resurrecting a defunct neighborhood health clinic, setting an admirable example of ingenuity and self-reliance in the face of government aimlessness and corruption. But in 2013, he "summoned an evil spirit" and absconded with the clinic's funds. Naomi Campbell Former supermodel Naomi Campbell has allegedly postponed a trip to Haiti following an outbreak of malaria in the earthquake-ravaged country. Naomi has been raising money to help aid efforts in the Caribbean nation since the January 10th quake, that killed hundreds of thousands of people and left many more homeless. Campbell, who hosted the star-studded fashion shows in New York and London to help Haiti, was supposed to fly there later this month to lend a hand to survivors of the earthquake. Now the trip has now been canned after the mosquito-borne disease began to sweep the nation.
