For these animals, collaboration means a second chance at life, and for the East End community, it’s a chance to be part of something extraordinary. The heart of this mission is Vivi Zhou, representing the Andy Sabin Family Foundation. Born in Shenyang, a city in northeast China, Vivi knows the harsh reality many dogs face there. When her mother stumbled upon a shelter in desperate need of renovation, Vivi refused to turn away. She founded Hope4Fur China Dog Rescue, rallied resources, rebuilt the shelter, hired staff, and ensured every dog would receive medical attention, good nutrition, and love. Today, Hope4Fur cares for more than 300 dogs, many of them purebred.   Jean Shafiroff Jean Shafiroff With Rita Cosby And Judy Gilbert The not-for-profit animal rescue organization, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC (RDRNYC) held their ‘Cocktails for Canines’ annual gala in New York City. The cocktail and dinner reception gala raised funds and awareness to help animals in need and was co-chaired by Georgina Bloomberg and Lara Trump.  The Charity has acquired their own rescue and rehabilitation center in Suffolk County on Long Island giving Rescue Dogs Rock NYC a home to care for dogs in need. This allows the charity to save many more needy and deserving dogs. The center sits on half an acre and allows indoor/outdoor kennels and has lots of outdoor space. Jean Shafiroff With Lindsey Spielfogal & Elizabeth Shafiroff Spotted Recently -- The philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff was spotted with daughter Elizabeth Shafiroff and Lindsey Spielfogal at Kennedy Airport with three Nicaragua rescue dogs. The women were returning from Managua, Nicaragua where they spent a week meeting with various different animal rescue groups. The women gave support to several animal groups, met with the press to discuss the urgency of enforcing animal protection laws and then returned to the United States with 3 rescue dogs. They are available for adoption through Social Tees Animal Rescue. All potential adopters will be subject to a background check.
