Rock icon Bob Dylan is lashing out at the state of the music industry, and is branding it "hypocritical rubbish".The singer is tired of the industry which gave him worldwide fame, insisting it is filled with fake people and hypocrites. And the star admits he feels uncomfortable socializing with music industry insiders, feeling more in tune with the "dignified" literature and art worlds, branding them "honest" and "upfront". He tells Britain’s The Times newspaper, "The music world’s a made-up bunch of hypocritical rubbish. I know that the book people are a whole lot saner. And the art world? From the small steps I’ve taken in it, I’d say, yeah, the people are honest, upfront and deliver what they say."Basically, they are who they say they are. They don’t pretend. And having been in the music world most of my life I can tell you it’s not that way. Let’s just say it’s less dignified."

Bob Dylan is to celebrate New Year’s Eve at his newly renovated Scottish mansion.The 66-year-old folk hero singer spent $4.4 million on Aultmore House in Nethy Bridge, Inverness-shire last year but had to wait for restoration work to be completed before he could move in.The private estate, which is set in 25 acres of woodland, was a joint investment between Dylan and his brother David Zimmerman and the pair are finally ready to host their first party there at the end of this year. Bob Dylan has bought a $4.5 million Scottish mansion.The music legend and his brother, David Zimmerman, have purchased Aultmore House, an Edwardian highland hideaway, together.The remote 10-bedroom property is nestled in 25 acres of woodland near the village of Nethy Bridge, Inverness-shire, and surrounded by the stunning Cairngorm mountains.The 65-year-old singer-and-songwriter fell in love with the historical house after spending a week there last spring, when it operated as a five-star hotel. Dylan - real name Robert Allen Zimmerman - and his brother purchased the property last year under the family name of Zimmerman.
