  Brenda Simmons Chris Oberbeck With Painting By Hunt Slonem The Southampton History Museum held its annual Halsey House Gala at the Halsey House & Garden in Southampton as the nation prepared to mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The gala emceed by Bill McCuddy invited guests to celebrate America 250 in a setting that predates the founding of the United States and offered a rare living connection to the colonial era, early Southampton life and the generations that helped shape the East End.   Halsey House Proceeds support the Southampton History Museum’s mission to preserve and educate about local history and culture through its unique historic sites, archives, collections, and public programs.   Ellen Scarorough And Chuck Scarborough The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF Hamptons) hosted the Bow Wow Meow Ball in the William P. Rayner Training Center which honored Ellen and Chuck Scarborough with the Champion of Animals Award in recognition of their more than twenty-five years of loyal support to ARF and their compassion towards animals in need.  The celebration of ARF’s life-saving work for over 50 years took place on the 22-acre campus in East Hampton where over 400 guests from New York City and the Hamptons enjoyed cocktails, followed by dinner catered by Olivier Cheng within an elegant setting. Jean Shafiroff Lieba Nesis Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff hosted a special fundraiser for the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) at NAIA Restaurant at the Capri Hotel in Southampton, NY. The intimate affair was held to celebrate the community’s animal shelter and all their hard work for homeless animals. The funds raised from the event along with SASF’s Match Your Gift program, was a much need boost for the foundation as their annual Unconditional Love Gala was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
