  Suspect In Asian Hate Crime In Long Island City   Thursday night there was a anti Asian attack on Center Blvd in Long Island City in the Hunters Point South area.  This wonderful Asian couple was walking down Center Blvd when allegedly a African American lady, Dressed in all grey, Grey wig, small push basket with grey bags in it, hit them on back of head, sprayed some unknown substance on them and then chased them down Center Blvd to Frank Ottomanelli By The Water  Cafe.   The couple were terrified and ran into the Cafe where staff protected them and called James Edstrom who is the President Of The Hunters Point Civic Association.  I noticed her minutes before staff called me. I was with my friend Julia. I pointed her out because she was acting strange, very weird. So I watched her. Video Of Alleged Gay Basher WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are looking for the man responsible for a brutal hate-driven attack in Brooklyn. The attack happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday on Metropolitan Avenue as the victims were leaving a gay bar in Williamsburg. Investigators say the man approached two male victims, who were intoxicated, made anti-gay comments and then attacked. The suspect punched the 34-year-old victim in the face and threw the 29-year-old victim against a tree. Both victims from Hawthorne, New Jersey, were knocked unconscious. The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction. One victim sustained a fractured shoulder, the other a broken finger. A bystander took a picture of the man police think is responsible for the attack. Jimmy Van Bramer Hate Letter Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer got a gay hate letter this week. In this day and age there are still crazies out there that refuse to let us all live in peace. As much as I disagree with Jimmy's in-action here in Hunters Point South on problems that we have, I find a letter like this just disgusting.  I lived through the GAY BASHING in New York City in the 70's and 80's. I grew up being called names all through High School. One thing I realized as I got older, most of the GAY HATERS were closet cases themselves. Years later the same people that bullied me for being gay in High School, I would see in the gay clubs. Some were even married and had wives.  In the 70's and 80's GAY BASHING was the thing to do. Straights would come to the Village and beat up innocent people for no reason. I had friends that ended up in the hospital.
