Pharrell Williams Pharrell Williams stopped by the Elvis Duran and The Z100 Morning Show to talk about his recent massive success with hit song “Happy,” working with Miley Cyrus and the media’s skewed image of her, and his support of women’s rights. The producer turned solo artist was excited to be at Z100 Studios for the first time promoting his own music. Describing his visit as being a moment for him, he felt it was “a little awkward, a little weird, and a little new” to be interviewed as a solo artist. When talking about the message behind his album ‘GIRL, the music phenomenon said, “At the end of the day, I hope women hear this album and what is at the bottom of the pot is you understand my intention. **** SAILING THE SEAS WITH Z100 **** Fleet Week With Elvis Duran Elvis Duran and The Morning Show proudly welcomed the men and women of USMC/USN to New York City this morning, as we officially kick off Fleet Week. Elvis shared with his listeners, “This week is so important, and Memorial Day is so much more than just a three day weekend and the white sale at Macy’s. This is an opportunity for us to see our men and women who serve this country on the street, and thank them for all they do and sacrifice for each one of us.” Elvis invited a group of men and women from the Navy on-air to express how excited our city is to host them this week. During the interview they told Elvis that in addition to visiting Manhattan, they are also on duty 24/7. Many will be working with Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and volunteering at various soup kitchens around the city. All three of the military ships that are docked will also be hosting tours and educating visitors...

Mary Lambert On Elvis Duran Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Mary Lambert performed her single “She Keeps Me Warm” on Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show earlier yesterday. Off her recently released EP Welcome To The Age of My Body, the song was made famous as the hook in Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ hit “Same Love”. The 24-year-old stopped by to talk to Elvis about her recent success, her past struggles, and her historic performance at the 56th Grammys with Madonna, Queen Latifah, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. **** ELVIS DURAN AND THE MORNING SHOW ON Z100 **** Chris Colfer Elvis Duran Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer came in to speak with “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” about his new book “The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell” in stores now.Chris said writing the book was a process that required a lot of self-discipline. He wrote a majority of the book while he was touring worldwide with the cast of “Glee”. The largest sense of fulfillment came when he finished the book. When asked whom the first copy of the book went too, Chris said it was his Grandma. Elvis spoke to Chris about why he chose not to write an autobiography; he said that being only 22 (he was approached to write an autobiography two years ago) he lacked the life experience necessary.
