Wax Figure Of Selena And Living Eva Longoria



Madame Tussauds Hollywood’s Selena Quintanilla wax figure made a special appearance at the Walk of Fame Reception celebrating the GRAMMY award-winner and cultural icon’s legacy.


The figure, valued at approximately $350,000, is dressed in a recreated stage look from Selena’s concert held at the Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, TX on Feb 7, 1993. The figure’s look celebrates her concert performance recorded for the album Selena Live!, which won the GRAMMY Award for Best Mexican/American Album in 1994.

MADAME TUSSAUDS UNVEILS NEW WAX ZOE SALDANA

Los Angeles – Actress Zoe Saldana unveiled her wax double at Madame Tussauds Hollywood and struck a pose side-by-side with the figure. The figure is dressed in the light pink Versace dress Saldana wore to the 2015 Academy Awards which she personally donated to Madame Tussauds.



“It’s like a dream come true. I’m feeling very grateful and really humbled.” said Saldana.



Prior to the unveiling, Madame Tussauds Hollywood released the first look of its expert team of sculptors and artists capturing Zoe’s measurements and likeness, as well as selecting the perfect matching hair and eye color for her figure. The session lasted more than two hours and over 250 measurements were taken. The completed wax figure is valued at approx. $350,000.



Zoe Saldana has been widely recognized for powerful range and diverse roles with more than 50 award nominations, including NAACP Image Awards, BET Awards, MTV Awards, Teen Choice Awards and People’s Choice Awards.



Saldana is set to reprise her popular role as Gamora in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 slated for release on May 5. She is also a global fan favorite for her tent pole roles as Neytiri in the AVATAR franchise and Lieutenant Uhura in the STAR TREK franchise.

MADAME TUSSAUDS UNVEILS SUPERSTAR LORDE IN WAX

Madame Tussauds Hollywood unveiled today GRAMMY winning singer-songwriter, Lorde. Lorde was an enthusiastic participant in the creation of her first wax figure, spending time with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists who took over 200 precise measurements to ensure the figure fully captured her style, eye color, posture, signature hair and more. Lorde’s figure dons a Stella McCartney inspired suit similar to the look she wore to the 2015 Golden Globes.



In 2013, Lorde released her debut single "Royals". It became an international crossover hit, peaking atop the US Billboard Hot 100 and eventually making Lorde the youngest solo artist to achieve a US number-one single since 1987. Later that year, she released her debut studio album Pure Heroine and received two GRAMMY Awards for her single "Royals" in the categories Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year in 2014. Additionally, Lorde has been named among TIME Magazine’s most influential teenagers in the world.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood today revealed its newest figure, Katniss Everdeen, protagonist of the worldwide phenomenon The Hunger Games franchise, in its own immersed backdrop.



Following the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, Madame Tussauds has also launched wax likenesses of Katniss, portrayed by Academy Award® winner Jennifer Lawrence, at its New York and London attractions.


Hollywood’s figure portrays Katniss’ in her hunting outfit, which she wears in the second installment of the franchise, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Teamed with her iconic brown leather hunting jacket, are dark charcoal trousers, knee-length tie-up leather brown boots, plus brown leather quiver (arrow bag) and trademark bow. Her hair is also styled in her iconic braid.
