POLICE WASTE TAXPAYER MONEY ON CRUISE
It's shots like this that we hate. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took their daughter Suri and Tom's two children Connor and Isabella to dinner last night in Beverly Hills, California. They ate at E Baldi Restaurant. They had police escorts. Why is taxpayers money wasted like this? We see this in New York City all the time. The police are so star struck, it's pathetic. They see a star and right away they appoint themselves the bodyguards. They should be working and stopping crime, not wasting taxpayer money guarding Tom Cruise at dinner.

TOM CRUISE ON DIRECTOR SYDNEY POLLACK
Hollywood star Tom Cruise is paying a tribute to The Firm director Sydney Pollack, admitting he will "miss him dearly". Pollack died aged 73 yesterday, after a nine-month battle with cancer at his home in Pacific Palisades, in Los Angeles California. And Cruise, who worked with the director on 1993’s The Firm and Eyes Wide Shut in 1998, remembers the star as an unpretentious man. He says, "Throughout the years, unpretentious and never condescending, he shared with me what he loved about family, storytelling, food, flying and a great bottle of vino (wine)." Cruise also looks back fondly on their first meeting, when Pollack patiently answered an up-and-coming Cruise’s eager questions for six-hours, even though he was busy editing his comedy classic Tootsie. He explains, "I first met him while he was in the midst of editing Tootsie. I’d seen every one of his pictures and he generously took the meeting."He was a Renaissance man and a great friend. I will miss him dearly."Sunday, May 11, 2008
THE CRUISES BACKSTAGE AT HAIRSPRAY
The cast of new York City's Broadway musical "Hairspray" got a big surprise after they finished Friday nights show and walked off stage to find Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes, waiting in the wings to see them. The Hollywood stars attended the stage version of the hit show with their 2-year-old daughter Suri and were granted a backstage visit afterwards to meet the cast. But the cast had not been informed of the stars' visit and were shocked to be greeted by the family after the performance. Jenifer Lewis, who plays Motormouth Maybelle in the hit show, was delighted to meet Cruise and Holmes. She tells New York Daily News, "I turned, and there was Tom Cruise saying to me, 'Oh my God, you're wonderful!' "Suri was so sweet in her little velvet and taffeta dress." Cruise later sent the whole cast flowers and a large basket of candy in time for their next performance. Saturday, May 10, 2008

TOM CRUISE ON HIS OPRAH COUCH JUMPING
Hollywood star Tom Cruise says his couch-jumping on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" seemed to set off a "confluence" of bad publicity for him, but he's not sure he would take it back if he could.
"That was a moment, and it was real, and I don't know if I would (do it differently). I really don't," Cruise said during an hour long interview with Winfrey taped at his Telluride, Colo. home. During the show broadcast Friday, Cruise said his antics on Winfrey's show three years ago were an authentic way of expressing his feelings for Katie Holmes. Holmes, now his wife, welcomed Winfrey to the couple's home at the beginning of the show. She then left Cruise to conduct a tour, which included a peek at daughter Suri's playrooms, the home's kitchen, Cruise's collection of bound film scripts, and stunning views of snow-topped mountains.Winfrey and a subdued, jeans-wearing Cruise conducted the interview on an overstuffed couch in the family's living room.About a month after his last appearance on Winfrey's show in May 2005, Cruise criticized Brooke Shields for taking anti-depression drugs after the birth of her child. He also berated "Today" host Matt Lauer for suggesting that psychiatric treatment might help some patients.

RANDY JONES ON NOT SO MACHO CRUISE
Village People icon cowboy Randy Jones has been forced to scrap an anecdote about Tom Cruise from his new memoir Macho Man, after editors feared action from the superstar's lawyers. Jones' book lifts the lid on the Y.M.C.A. band's 1980s heyday, and his wild lifestyle away from the stage and screen. The 55-year-old wanted to include a tale about the night he partied with a 20-year-old Cruise, before the actor found fame in the 1983 film Risky Business - but it failed to make the cut because of legal fears, editors tell the New York Daily News. Jones says, "Tom and I had the same management company at the time. "I met him at a party Andy Warhol threw for Peter Gatien's Limelight [nightclub offshoot] in Atlanta." "However, the book which is due for release later this year, does include the time Jones smoked drugs at legendary New York nightclub Studio 54 in the presence of U.S. president Jimmy Carter's mother Lillian: "We were in the corridor, and someone was passing around a joint. They handed it to Lillian, and she looked horrified. She didn't take a puff, but she handed it to me very expertly." "Macho Man," described by Jones as a "cultural history," has an expected fall publication date.
What do you think was cut from Randy Jones Book. We know, but what do you think? Leave comments below.....

Tom’s lawyers told New York Daily News Gossip Icons Rush and Malloy that they are looking into the matter.

AUDITIONS HELD TO FIND TOM CRUISE WIFE
Wierd Tom Cruise's marriage to actress Katie Holmes was arranged by the Church of Scientology after a series of fake casting calls for actresses including Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba failed to deliver a suitable wife, according to sensational new claims by a former Scientologist member. Cruise and Holmes wed in a Cinderella type ceremony in Italy in 2006 after a 20 month romance and have one-year-old daughter Suri together. But ex-Scientologist Marc Headley, who used to produce the promotional films for the controversial religion is claiming Holmes was set up with the Mission: Impossible star after he split from Penelope Cruz in 2004 after three years together. Headley alleges Scientology leader David Miscavige organized an audition process for potential wives disguised as a casting call for a new movie in which Cruise was the leading man. He tells British newspaper News of the World, "After that (splitting from Cruz), he started complaining to his best buddy David about his luck with girls. So Miscavige assigned a high-ranking official with the order: ‘Find a wife for Tom Cruise.’ "The official put out a casting call to female actresses, including Scientologists, saying, ‘There’s an upcoming Tom Cruise movie you might get a part in. Come for an audition.’ But in the end no movie was ever made. They had to be single, they had to be pretty and in their 20s."First they rounded up Scientologist actresses like Erica Christensen, Erica Howard and Sofia Milos. But they were all rejected." The unnamed official then tried to lure Electra star Garner - who had just started dating Ben Affleck at the time - with the beauty ranked top of the priority list, before Holmes was spotted gushing about Cruise and called to Los Angeles to meet the actor.Headley adds, "Then... they went for Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, in that order. They came up with the same plan. Jennifer and Jessica didn’t bite but Scarlett took the bait and came in for an audition. When she arrived at the audition address and found out it was the Scientology Center in Hollywood she freaked out and didn’t do a tape…"So they worked the audition tape on Katie, got her to L.A. and introduced her to Tom. The moment he meets her, he’s enthralled with her and he told Miscavige later, ‘I knew immediately she was the one.’"Monday, February 25, 2008
HOLLYWOOD STARS RAISE CHARITY BUCKS
Hollywood stars Katie Holmes with Hubby Tom Cruise along with George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Harrison Ford were some of the superstars who helped turn the sixth annual Night Before fundraiser into a $6 million affair on Saturday night. Past Oscar winners and nominees for this year’s Academy Awards joined the stars at the Motion Picture & Television Fund bash, held at the famed Beverly Hills Hotel in California. The $6 million raised at this year’s pre-Oscars party brings the total amount of money raised since the event’s inception in 2003 to an impressive $31 million. Motion Picture & Television Fund chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg feels this year’s event was so star-studded because the recent Hollywood writers strike really helped movie celebrities see how their colleagues need financial help. Katzenberg says, "Many people in our industry have faced great challenges the past few months and the support and services provided by MPTF were critical to their being able to support themselves and their families."

TOM CRUISE VIDEO WAS GOOD PUBLICITY
The controversial video of Tom Cruise singing the praises of Scientology were a good publicity stunt for the controversial religion, church elders have confirmed. Footage of an energized Cruise promoting the religion found its way onto the Internet last week, prompting an outpouring of criticism aimed at the star. But Scientology bosses insist the star’s bizarre monologues, in which he referred to the faith as "a blast" and saluted a statue of founder L. Ron Hubbard boosted the church’s profile. A spokesperson tells PageSix,com, "Having presented these selective and out of context excerpts with the intent of creating both controversy and ridicule resulted in people searching for Church of Scientology websites."The clip on the Internet was nine minutes long. It was edited to make Tom look really crazy." Last week, actress and fellow Scientologist, Kirstie Alley, came to Cruise’s defence, claiming the video was never meant to be seen by the general public. She said, "Tom was using words meant for a Scientology audience. On the web, the video is taken out of context."It’s like a rabbi addressing a Christian church, speaking in Hebrew. No one would understand him." You can watch the video. Click here.Saturday, January 26, 2008
KIRSTIE ALLEY DEFENDS TOM CRUISE VIDEO
Former Hollywood television star Kirstie Alley is defending fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise following criticism the movie star received for raving about the controversial religion in a promotional video. Footage leaked online showed Cruise talking about Scientology, calling the religion "a blast" and then saluting a portrait of church founder, sci-fi writer L. Ron Hubbard. The video was never meant to be seen by the public and Alley insists the criticism over Cruise’s comments prove why church elders were keen to use the footage for promotional purposes only. She says, "Tom was using words meant for a Scientology audience. On the web, the video is take out of context."It’s like a rabbi addressing a Christian church, speaking in Hebrew. TOM CRUISE ON ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is sparking outrage after accusing government officials of lying to the public in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City.In the new video footage promoting the Scientology way of life, the star blasts the Environmental Protection Agency for endangering the health of emergency service staff at ground zero. He says, "The EPA came out and said the air was clean. Of course as a Scientologist you go, ‘That’s a lie.’ You just go, ‘Liar.’ "Finally you say, dammit, just go there and do it. Put it there, let’s go, here’s the money, let’s go. Let’s just get one person treated. I can’t sleep another night." The Mission Impossible star provided emergency service staff with detoxification therapy based upon the works of Scientology found L. Ron Hubbard following the attack in 2001.But Dr Kerry Kelly, the senior medical officer for the New York Fire Department, says, "It’s hard to have faith in it (Scientology rehabilitation therapy). You just stay there until you feel fine."Editors Note: As much as I disagree with Tom Cruise on so many things, he is right on target on this one. I was hired by the Port Authority's public relations team right after the 1993 bombings to photograph the damage. I was in the Trade Center within a few hours. The public relations team had me sit in some room for about 4 hours right above the garage where the bombing took place. I sat there and waited for them to give the go-ahead for me to go into the garage and document the damage for their insurance. After my long wait, the Public Relations team ran into the room and said tests came back positive for Asbestos and we all had to leave right away. The point being, they knew from 1993 that the place was full of Asbestos and yet in 2001 they said it would be weeks before the tests came back. My questions always has been, why in 1993 did the tests come back within hours and in 2001 they said it would take weeks. They lied to the American people. They new about the Asbestos was there, yet they risked lives. They had no right to do this. One more further note, I faxed all the major media outlets after the 2001 bombing about the Asbestos and they all ignored me. Being that over the years, I had appeared in almost all their shows and had been written about in all the newspapers, I should have been considered a trusted source. I was ignored and now people are dyeing !

TOM CRUISE SCIENTOLOGY AFTER GAWKER
Gawkers reply
The notoriously litigious Tom Cruise's cult Scientology, is seeking to stop website Gawker.com from showing a video of the alleged second in command, Tom Cruise promoting the so-called religion. The publication of Andrew Morton's biography of Tom Cruise, which claims he is the second most powerful person in the cult, has seemed to sent the spacemen flying for cover. What do they have to hide? One has to only ask people that knew Cruise from the New York City's Limelight nightclub in the 80s. Problem is they are so scared of being sued, they have refused untold amounts of money over the years from tabloids seeking the truth. To check out Gawkers ground breaking story and video,

SCIENTOLOGY LEADERS DEFEND TOM CRUISE
Scientology leaders are getting ready for battle and have prepared a seven-page statement damning Princess Diana biographer Andrew Morton's new expose on church member Tom Cruise. The British writers new book, Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, hits bookstores across America on today and features wild claims about the movie star’s personal life, his marriages to Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes and his Scientology beliefs.Church leaders are determined to dismiss the book, by revealing Morton didn’t interview anyone close to Cruise or even any of the directors the actor has worked with while researching what they call a "bigoted, defamatory assault replete with lies." Morton accepts he didn’t interview the major people in Cruise’s life, but insists he did try.The author says, "Most people in Hollywood are scared of talking publicly and candidly about Tom Cruise." Morton also defends himself against the Scientology leaders’ new accusations that his Cruise biography won’t be released in the writer’s native Britain because publishers there rejected the project.Morton insists the book will not hit shelves there because libel laws in the U.K. favor plaintiffs far more than they do in America and other parts of the world.

NEW TOM CRUISE EXPLOSIVE BOOK
An explosive new book with claims alleging that Tom Cruise is the second in command at the Church of Scientology and that some Scientologists believe his daughter Suri is the product of a sperm donation from Scientology's late founder L. Ron Hubbard are among the explosive charges author Andrew Morton alleges in his new book, "Tom Cruise, An Unauthorized Biography," the London Daily Mail reported Sunday. The book, set for release in the United States on Jan. 15, also claims that Cruise's next mission is to recruit David and Victoria Beckham into the church, and that the church allegedly threatened to blackmail Nicole Kidman by revealing details of her sex life with Cruise if she spoke out. According to the report, Morton writes in the book that Cruise's extensive household staff are all Scientologists vetted and hired by the church, and that Scientology's leader David Miscavige ordered staff to plant a field of wildflowers at a Scientology base after Cruise confided in him his fantasy to run through a field of flowers with third wife Katie Holmes. The book also alleges that Scientology top officials exert a huge amount of influence over Cruise's personal relationships and career decisions, and says that although it is not officially stated anywhere, Cruise is the "de-facto" second-in-command of the Church of Scientology, number two behind Miscavige. But the most shocking claim in the book, according to the Daily Mail, is Morton's account of how Suri Cruise, Tom Cruise's 20-month-old daughter with third wife Katie Holmes, was conceived. Morton compares Suri's conception to the horror film "Rosemary's Baby" and claims that members of a "fanatical' sect of Scientologists known as "Sea Org." believe Holmes was impregnated with a sperm donation from dead Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Cruise's long-term attorney, the Hollywood power lawyer Bert Fields, vehemently denied the book's claims, calling it a "pack of lies.""It's a boring, poorly researched book by a man who never talked to anyone involved in Tom Cruise's life or anyone close to him," Fields told The Mail. "There's no real independent research. He hasn't spoken to his mother, his sister, me, Paula Wagner his agent, his wives, David Beckham, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez or any of the famous directors he's worked with. Instead you've got this long, boring reference to people he knew 30 years ago," Fields said. British author Andrew Morton is best known for his 1992 expose about Princess Diana. His unauthorized biography of Cruise is not being published in the United Kingdom, partly due to the U.K.'s strict libel laws, The Mail reported.Editors Note: I wonder when the people in the New York City club scene that knew Cruise before he was a star are going to write about that part of Cruise's life. We are staying out of this one.
