After announcing that SILENCE! The Musical will end its run December 30th at the Elektra Theatre, ticket sales have unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records for the show so far. As a result, the producers have determined that performances of the smash hit show will resume on January 18th. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! opened at Theatre 80 on July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews and spawned a highly successful L.A. production starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.

The show was selected by Time Magazine as one of the Top 5 Musicals of 2011.

In the Academy Award-winning film The Silence of the Lambs, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to catch the serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter's clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. The laugh-out-loud raunchy satire, SILENCE! The Musical, features a singing chorus of floppy eared lambs narrating the action as Buffalo Bill gleefully dances a hoedown while kidnapping hapless Catherine Martin. Even Dr. Lecter, scary as ever, sings about the life he'd like to lead someday outside the prison walls.

Currently featured in the cast of SILENCE! The Musical are David Ayers, Pamela Bob, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupré, Natalie Joy Johnson, Howard Kaye, James Moye, Topher Nuccio, Ronica V. Reddick, Sam Rogers, Kimberly Stern, and Doug Trapp.

Created by Jon and Al Kaplan in 2002, SILENCE! began as a collection of songs on the internet which immediately attracted a staggering number of fans. The Kaplans' subsequent screenplay SILENCE! The Musical was adapted by Hunter Bell into a live stage show, which also featured newly composed songs by the brothers. Fueled by a rabid cult following, SILENCE! shattered every box office record at the 2005 FringeNYC Festival, winning the award for Best Musical. SILENCE! met with further success in London, where it garnered ecstatic reviews.

Wendy Williams greeted holiday shoppers today, with a sexy appeal to cross fur off their lists as she unveiled her "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" ad in Times Square to launch PETA's national winter campaign. The campaign includes two versions of Williams' ad, in which she is covered by nothing but long, flowing hair.

"We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let the animals keep theirs," says Williams, who once wore real mink and fox but had a change of heart after learning how animals are electrocuted, beaten, and even skinned alive for their fur.

In addition to her ad, Williams will encourage her viewers to donate their fur coats to PETA so that they can be given to the homeless. PETA is working with shelters in Williams' home state of New Jersey on their coat drives this winter, which have seen greater demand as the numbers of the needy and displaced have increased after Hurricane Sandy.

Williams joins a growing list of stars—including Eva Mendes, Christy Turlington, and Taraji P. Henson—who have renounced fur and then volunteered to appear in PETA's iconic naked campaign.

Story By: James Edstrom

The Williamsburg Bridge

Living in Times Square has had it's ups and downs. On the upside, I am always near my media outlets and since I am so lazy sometimes, it helps to be right next door to every TV and Radio show that wanted me on. It was also good, because I am centrally located and can get anywhere in Manhattan in a few minutes. Most of my friends at the Television Networks could always meet me for a drink at Broadway Langans, before they went back home to the burbs.

The downside of living in Times Square is to have to battle your way through 2 million tourists a day to get anything done. The traffic is a mess, the police refuse to enforce the laws with just about anything. Supermarkets and stores are way over priced and I always have to shop online or go downtown for a deal.

Another big downside is the building I am in. This was a great place when I moved in ten years ago. The place looks grand from anyone's view into the lobby, but behind the beauty lies some very hidden secrets. The place has turned into a drug den. Management for one reason or another has destroyed this building by filling it with drug addicts and dealers. As much as I try to work with management on any problems here, it is useless. In fact they are vindictive. The more I complained, the more they took revenge on me. But this will be a coming story in a few weeks. I am going to expose everything and the people of New York City are going to be shocked. Stay tuned.....

I am very lucky we now have a new home in Trendy Williamsburg Brooklyn. I will be moving there on Wednesday with my son John. We are very excited to be exploring a new neighborhood. The views of Manhattan are to kill for and we got a huge amount of space. We have been living out of boxes in our Times Square studio, our space just ran out.

We have so many computers because of Times Square Gossip. Now we can really do a apartment where we have some order and I am working so hard on decorating. I'm online late at night shopping. Desks for the computers, carpeting, new bedding and just about everything. We have a huge place to fill.

Times Square Gossip may be a little behind this week. We have to pack, move and re-connect everything at our new home. I will do my best to keep up with everything, let's hope all these phone and cable companies get the job done so the stress level is low.

Kimilee Bryant  With Stephen O’Brien And Daniel Greenwood

Magic will be in the air, when The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players --- America’s preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory company, launches its G&S Fest 2013 with a rarely staged production of The Sorcerer on Saturday, December 1st (8PM) & December 2nd (3PM) at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (899 10th Avenue at 59th Street).

Under the artistic and music direction of Albert Bergeret, the company has presented over 2,600 performances throughout the United States, Canada, and England. Incorporating a 25-piece orchestra, its productions feature contemporary energy while retaining a traditional respect for each of the G&S masterpieces. New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players is considered by many to be the nation’s “leading custodian of the G&S classics.”

Set in a quaint English village, The Sorcerer is the story of Alexis, a young military officer who purchases a love-at-first-sight potion from a respectable and old-established Family Sorcerer. Of course, this potion is compounded on the strictest of moral principles so as to have no effect on married persons. The power of love is tested when, after drinking tea spiked with the potion, the whole village finds itself engaged in hilarious mismatches – including the sorcerer himself! Even the well meaning, but misguided, Alexis is unhappy with this situation, so the sorcerer agrees to make a personal sacrifice in order to set things back the way they were - disappearing magically to the delight of all. Combining Gilbert's favorite theme of class distinction with magical and theatrical illusions, the production features Sullivan's lilting melodies, glorious harmonies, and just the right touch of pastoral sentiment to convey the essence of Gilbert's light-hearted satire.

"Meet the Gold family. As owners of Detroit's biggest pawn shop, they've bought and sold things you can't begin to imagine. Every day brings new danger as the Golds operate in the heart of one of America's most troubled cities. With 50,000 sq ft of cash and goods surrounding them, there are millions to be made, but their profits come with huge risk. Welcome to the world of Hardcore Pawn."

Ashley With Seth And Les Gold

Well today I met the Gold family, in the heart of Times Square.  My millions of readers know that I rarely go out anymore for just about anything. After 30 years of photographing the stars and being profiled on every TV show from 60 Minutes to Fox News, I am pretty much a hermit now. I stay at home working on Times Square Gossip. But when my good publicist friend Linda Shafran contacted me in the middle of the night and told me the Gold family was going to be in Times Square, I just had to meet them. I love their show.

Most of these Reality Shows, I won't watch. But Hardcore Pawn brings back my fond memories of being on the set in Chicago with Jerry Springer. Just like Springer, you never know what is going to happen next and with HardCore Pawn you also get a education. Items coming into American Jewelry educate you on the value of things and sometimes you are just shocked that you have the same items in your home and they are worth so much money.

Meeting Les Gold today with Son Seth and Daughter Ashley was fun. I wish they did not have to catch a plane, I would have taken them out on the town and really shown them New York City. I am sure a night out with me would make all their customers look normal.

Might be interesting to note, that Les will be on Varney - Thursday morning
VH1 Big Morning Buzz - Friday morning
Sean Hannity - Friday evening

Make sure you catch HardCore Pawn in it's new season on TruTV, Tuesdays at 9pm. This is one show that lives up to it's name!
