OCTOBER LONDON & SNOOP DOGG'S COLOR BLIND: LOVE

Color Blind: Love

Premiering exclusively on Noisey, October London releases the highly anticipated short film, Color Blind: Love, executively produced by Snoop Dogg. The film follows October's journey leaving prison, finding work through his girlfriend, played by the alluring Jasmine Hope Waite, and the pursuit of his passion as a singer. Directed by Dylan Brown, the film enlists The Doggfather, Snoop Dogg, as a slick talking music executive along with comedy legend, Mike Epps, who plays a club owner that hires October as a dishwasher eventually leading to the opportunity of a lifetime. Color Blind: Love exhibits an exceptional acting debut by October London and complements his emotionally invigorating debut EP, Color Blind: Love, available now on all DSPs.

During Oscar weekend, October London performed songs from his Color Blind: Love EP and screened the short film to a full house at the American Black Film Institute's: Oscar Noir Gala. The ABFI gala was hosted by Shaun Robinson and honored Angela Basset, Academy Award for Best Picture Moonlight's director Barry Jenkins, Janelle Monae, Issa Rae and Jessie T. Usher.

Having been compared to Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and The DeBarge brothers due to his impactful lyrics and silky tone, October London is a must-see at Austin's SXSW festival this month. He quickly caught the attention of audiences for his debut single, "Black Man in America," for its chilling and important message in today's social construct. Since signing to Jazze Pha and Snoop Dogg's Cadillacc Music and with his work writing and performing the theme song to Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, London is just beginning to share his multifaceted talents with the world.

DRAKE & SNOOP DOGG SELL OUT LAS VEGAS NEW YEAR

****
SIN CITY NEW YEAR'S ROUNDUP
****

Drake

Hip hop and rap ruled TAO Group’s sold-out venues in Las Vegas as thousands of party goers ushered in 2015 at Marquee, TAO and LAVO.

Snoop Dogg
A tux-clad Drake held court at Marquee Nightclub inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, counting down the last moments of 2014 and personally handing out shots to fans at the front of the stage before wowing the sold-out crowd with a medley of nearly a dozen songs including Started from the Bottom, We Made It and Trophies. Taking to the mic he told the packed club “If you love somebody you’ve got to show them some love right now. This is the time.” He brought his dad Dennis along with other family and friends up on the stage as he finished his performance from the draw bridge above the crowd. DJ Politik provided the soundtrack for the evening as club goers, including fashion designer Alexander Wang partied in the tri-level nightclub and outside on the pool deck under the temperature controlled Dayclub Dome.

Gearing up for New Year’s Eve, Drake was spotted dining at TAO two nights in a row. On Tuesday the rapper met up with music producer Irv Gotti and friends at the Asian bistro for TAO-TINI cocktails, hot and sour soup and Mr. Wong shrimp. Later that night he headed to Marquee’s Boom Box Room for the club’s Hip Hop Until The Ball Drops pre-New Year’s Eve party. On December 31 the restaurant opened up the private dining room and served a special menu for Drake so he could fuel up for the big night.

Snoop Dogg manned the DJ booth at TAO Nightclub at The Venetian for the last Snoopadelic Cabaret of 2014. Serving as Master of Ceremonies, Snoop greeted the crowd in the downstairs Boss Lady Lounge before heading into the club where he led the dressed-to-the-nines revelers in the countdown and then performed songs including The Next Episode, Gin and Juice and Drop It Like It’s Hot. The entire venue was transformed into a 1920s speakeasy and Snoop was presented with a special limited edition Shine Bright six liter bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne that was paraded through the crowd. Andre Johnson, wide receiver for the Houston Texans was also spotted at TAO.

At LAVO inside The Palazzo, DJ Khaled was on hand, toasting the arrival of 2015 with a performance of hits such as All I Do Is Win and current favorite Hold You Down. He later made his way to TAO where he joined Snoop in the DJ booth.

SNOOP DOGG WARNED ABOUT MTV AWARDS

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg has been warned to tone down his foul language when he hosts the MTV Europe Music Awards. The controversial rapper - who is famous for cursing and use of sexual swear words in his lyrics - will be hosting Thursday's event live from Munich, Germany, and bosses are terrified he will offends viewers with his colorful vocabulary. An awards insider said: "MTV know that Snoop has a huge fan base, so it's a huge coup to get him to host the awards. But let's just say they'll be a few executives who'll be terrified on the night just in case he starts cursing."Snoop - who sparked 400 complaints when he shouted "mother f****r" at Live 8, which was televised on the BBC, in 2005 - has already arrived in Munich, and is planning on "taking things to a whole new level" as this year's host. He said: "Munich, get ready, because the 'Big Boss' is taking over your city and hosting this year's EMAs. Past presenters have been great, but this year I'm taking it to a whole new level. I've called up my homeys from east to west, and I guarantee it's going to be off the chain! You dig?"
