SHIA LABEOUF SORRY FOR GAY SLUR
Sexy hunk Shia LaBeouf has apologized for using a gay slur to describe a pal in a boozy YouTube.com video on the Internet. The "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" star says he's "embarrassed" by the online footage, which first surfaced on Monday. The clip, in which the actor challenges a pal to slap him around the face, has since been pulled from the Web site. A spokesman for LaBeouf tells Eonline.com, "The video tape that is currently being circulated is several years old and captures Shia playing a game amongst friends in which he uses a derogatory word towards a friend. "He regrets having used the word in any capacity and is very embarrassed that this footage is being seen by anyone."The video is just the latest embarrassing incident for LaBeouf. He was arrested last year for refusing requests to leave a drugstore in Chicago, Ill., and an arrest warrant was issued for him in March after he was accused of failing to turn up to court to face a charge of smoking in a prohibited area in California. The trespassing charges were dropped and LaBeouf pleaded guilty to the illegal smoking charges and was ordered to pay a $500 fine.

SHIA LABEOUF SCARED OF INDIANA REVIEWS
Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf is scared of the first review of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, because he fears critics will can his performance and say he's unworthy of joining the action franchise. The actor appears alongside Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford in the action movie, and admits he constantly felt intimidated by the fans’ expectations of the fourth sequel in the film series. But the Transformers star claims Ford was great at putting the rest of the cast at ease and has even likened the 65-year-old to General George Smith Patton, the leading U.S. Army general during World War Two. LaBeouf tells British magazine Empire, "It was terrifying to join this franchise. Everything you imagine it is, is exactly what it is. You don’t want to be the addition who ruined everything. And you know there’s going to be so much critique, that it can be quite daunting."But Harrison always used to say before every take, ‘Alright, let’s shoot this piece of s**t.’ It was his way of alleviating the pressure. Another hats-off thing about Harrison is that he’s the troop leader - he’s General Patton; the guy leading the surge. When you’re around him, you don’t feel that pressure."Friday, February 29, 2008
SHIA LABEOUF REGRETS CHICAGO ARREST
Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf really regrets his 2007 arrest for trespassing in a Chicago drugstore, insisting the incident occurred in a moment of "utter insanity." The Transformers star, 21, was charged with a public misdemeanor in November, after refusing to leave a Walgreen's while drunk. The charges were later dropped. But LaBeouf admits the bizarre event was an isolated incident, which he is putting behind him as a life lesson. He tells the British magazine Empire, "That was complete and utter insanity. I was an [bleep], and it was a mistake I'm still completely embarrassed about. "I was in the middle of a strange mind state, having just come off a three-month window of focus. I can't diminish what happened at all. But I can say this: I'm not the first 21-year-old to be arrested for a misdemeanor. There are lessons in life I need to learn, and I'm learning all of them in front of the public."

SHIA LABEOUF A DIFFERENT YOUNG STAR
Shia LaBeouf doesn't want to end up like Lindsay Lohan. The 20-year-old actor prefers to stay out of the Hollywood limelight because he wants to be remembered as a great actor - not just a "celebrity" like other young stars. He told the USA Today newspaper: "I don't go to clubs and you won't see me out partying. I want a career like Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin, Nicholas Cage and Sean Penn, not like Lindsay Lohan. She's a talented actress but has made some scary decisions. If I'm perceived as someone like that, I'm going to be screwed trying to give a Michael Caine performance."Being seen just as a celebrity can be as bad as having your movie tank. I want to have a career that's different from some of the people of my generation. "LaBeouf says his priority is to focus on landing big film roles and prove he can play a wide range of characters. He said: "If the industry takes you lightly because you're always partying, then they will take your work lightly as well."LaBeouf's latest project sees him voicing the character of hot-shot surfer penguin, Cody Maverick in 'Surf's Up'. He will also star in one of the summer's most-anticipated films, 'Transformers' and recently landed a role in 'Indiana Jones IV'.
