Rose McGowan

E! NEWS -- Rose McGowan is speaking out after Harvey Weinstein was indicted on rape and sex crime charges.

In a new Instagram posted Wednesday evening, the actress and CITIZEN ROSE star reacted to the grand jury's decision made earlier today in a New York City courtroom.

"INDICTED. FINALLY. I've been indicted by the media he's bought out for years to trash me. Now it is a new chapter for both of us," Rose began in her social media post. "What would others say about you if they didn't know who you were? Who I am has been told to the world for me in magazines, newspapers, blogs, videos, tabloids."

She continued, "The narrative of me—my story—has been sold to you as a work of fiction. The media often cuts you when they can, especially if they've been paid off to–the journalists and reporters who are safe in their cubicles and do not have to drown in your tears or see the bruises. All they see is numbers. Views. Ratings. And all you were told is that I was a horror show. Someone damaged. Someone off-kilter. Someone not right. Luckily, many worldwide saw through this fiction, sadly, far more continue to hound me with this false narrative without realizing that every evil thing they repeat about me means they are doing the work of a rapist."

Harvey has denied any and all accusations of non-consensual sex. In fact, attorney Ben Brafman released a new statement after his client was indicted on charges of rape in the first and third degrees, and criminal sexual act in the first degree.

"The announcement of Mr. Weinstein's indictment, does not come as a surprise," the statement read in part. "We asked the District Attorney for more time so that Mr. Weinstein's attorneys could gather the material needed to properly prepare him for his grand jury testimony but that request was denied."

The statement continued. "We remind everyone that an indictment is merely a formal accusation. Mr. Weinstein intends to enter a plea of not guilty and vigorously defend against these unsupported allegations that he strongly denies. We will soon formally move to dismiss the indictment and if this case actually proceeds to trial, we expect Mr. Weinstein to be acquitted."

As for Rose, she's looking forward to having viewers hear her perspective in the final episode of CITIZEN ROSE.

"I have lived a harder life than most could withstand. I know my truth. And now.... for the FINAL episode of CITIZEN ROSE, a show that took blood, sweat and many tears, to simply show what trauma looks like and how we can survive it," she wrote on Instagram. "I know what I've done to change the world. How about you? #weROSEtogether #socialexperiment #womeninbiz #human #CitizenRose #rosearmy #inspiration #justwannahavefun."

Dirty Harvey Weinstein Gets Slapped

TMZ -- Disgraced filmmaker Harvey Weinstein got slapped in the face and cursed out by a restaurant patron as he left an Arizona eatery Tuesday, new video reveals.

Weinstein — who is accused of sexual harassment, assault or rape by dozens of women — was walking out of Elements in Scottsdale after dinner when a man, only identified as Steve, hit him twice in the face with his backhand, according to TMZ, which published the footage.

"Get the f--k out of here," the man says in the video. "Get your f--ing a-- out of here. You're a f---ing piece of s--t."

Weinstein stumbled a bit after Steve slapped his face before quickly leaving. Weinstein opted not to call the police following the incident.

Steve had gone up to Weinstein, 65, earlier in the evening and asked him to take a photo, but Weinstein declined, a restaurant manager told TMZ. The manager said Weinstein was "sweet" about saying no, and that Steve appeared to be drunk when he approached Weinstein again later that evening.

Steve also informed the celebrity gossip website that he had "quite a bit to drink" before he went up to Weinstein.

Weinstein went to Scottsdale in October and took part in a therapy program there after sexual misconduct allegations against him rapidly began to emerge. He has kept a mostly low-profile amid the scandal and but has been photographed several times since the accusations first surfaced.

Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lupita N'yongo and Ashley Judd are among the women to accuse Weinstein of making an unwanted sexual advance toward them early in their careers. Rose McGowan is one of several women to accuse Weinstein of rape.

Jill Soloway

On Saturday, October 15th at 8:00pm at Complex, F*ck Rape Culture presents an evening of music and speakers to benefit the Committee to Unseat Judge Aaron Persky, including Jill Soloway, Michel Dauber, Madame Gandhi, The Ruby Friedman Orchestra, Flavia, Enola Fall, and No Girlfriends. This show is 21+ and tickets are $12 in advance and $18 at the door.

The Campaign to Unseat Judge Persky's mission statement:

"We are outraged at Judge Persky's actions, and we don't just want talk, we want to take him out of office. That is why the Committee to Recall Judge Persky is the only effort in existence that has put together a comprehensive plan and team that can actually take Persky out of office, so that he can no longer shield sex offenders from justice."

Aaron Persky gave too lenient a sentence to Brock Turner, a former Stanford Swimmer convicted of sexual assault. Turner was only sentenced to six months for his heinous crime, and Persky cited the impact prison would have on Turner's life in his decision. Persky is unfit to sit on the bench, and as long as he is a judge, predators in Santa Clara County will know they have an ally on the bench.

Anand Jon At Fashion Show
Fashion designer Anand Jon was charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault involving three alleged victims, Los Angeles County prosecutors said.
Jane Robison, a Los Angeles County district attorney's office spokeswoman, said Jon was charged with six felonies and a misdemeanor for the alleged sexual assaults occurring between October 2004 and March 5, The Los Angeles Times said Wednesday. Beverly Hills, Calif., police on March 6 arrested Jon, who is being held in lieu of $1.3 million bail. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on the New York-based designer, a superstar in his native India.
Jon's attorney, Ronald Richards, said the allegations were made up by models who thought they weren't getting the work they expected. "(What) is going on here is these girls fly in for model jobs after months of dialogue filled with flirtation, they have sexual interaction and if he doesn't put them in the show ... then some time later they claim they had unwanted sex," Richards said. Prosecutors alleged that in October 2004, Jon raped a woman and that this year he committed lewd acts with a 15-year-old. The investigation began after a third woman reported being raped.
