Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Comic Hardcover

Few stories dominate the headlines like a royal wedding, and royal watchers and avid readers are hungry for information about the new world-famous couple who will exchange vows in front of a global audience. To commemorate the event, a special edition graphic novel version of the attention-grabbing “The Royals: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle” comic book published by TidalWave Comics, is hitting stores later this week. This lavishly illustrated 40-page hardcover graphic novel depicts the life stories of the world-famous couple.

Written by Michael Frizell with art by Pablo Martinena, Joe Phillips, and Justin Currie, the comic book provides context to two fairy tale lives and explores how a romance flourished despite a fishbowl existence due to the ever-present paparazzi.

The book is available to order on Amazon in three different formats: A traditional, 26-page comic book version, a hardback 40-page graphic novel version, and a wedding edition with a dynamic special cover by famed artist Joey Mason.

“Fans of the royal couple will love this issue for portraying Harry and Meghan as two well-rounded and grounded individuals,” said publisher Darren G. Davis. “But it also has enough pomp and spectacle to match the excitement surrounding the event.”

“I enjoyed fleshing out their backstories in this challenging format,” said writer Michael Frizell. “With just twenty-six pages to tell the lives of two fascinating people, it was imperative that I pick and choose the correct high points in their lives to tell a compelling story of two people who found each other.”

“There was considerable spectacle and buzz years a few years ago when William and Kate got married, which mirrored the fairytale wedding of Princess Diana,” Davis said. “But this wedding couldn’t have come at a better time as it offers a diversion from the constant barrage of news chronicling economic hardship and political enmity. It’s a good news story that’s larger than life.”

Meghan Markle

E! NEWS -- Meghan Markle is creating a unique spot for herself within the royal family.

With only two months remaining until Prince Harry marries the American actress, there's no doubt Meghan is in full-on prep mode as she prepares to bid civilian life farewell. Today marked her first official appearance alongside Queen Elizabeth II, a major step for someone that just two years ago had not officially met her future husband yet.

Grant Harrold, "The Royal Butler" who is known as Britain's etiquette expert and former royal butler to Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as well as Prince William and Prince Harry, spoke to E! News exclusively about Meghan's "modern approach" to royalty, what she can still learn from etiquette protocol and the similarities he sees between her and the late Princess Diana.

Harrold, who worked with the royal family for seven years up until 2011, says he was reminded of Princess Diana when Markle stopped to embrace a young schoolgirl during a recent engagement with Harry.

He describes Meghan's gesture as "really, really sweet," but adds it's not "normally" something the Queen would do. "It's something younger people do," Harrold explains, later continuing, "She's got her own way of doing things... You look at the energy of Princess Diana and she was very much somebody that would hug people. She was famous for it, wasn't she?"

At the peak of Princess Diana's global reach, Harrold says, "None of the rest of the royal family hugged. It just wasn't the done thing. Now the younger royals, Princes William and Harry, you see them hugging... So it's their way of doing it. They are very much copying what their mother did, which is fantastic."

Hugging commoners aside, Harrold believes she'll have to give up two very important aspects of the celebrity lifestyle—autographs and selfies. He predicts Meghan will "definitely [be] discouraged" from signing photos of herself for fans and notes that posing for photographs is "obviously a big thing" that royals stray away from.

He explains, "She has to be careful what she says, how she says it, and how it's taken because after the 19th of May, it will be very much the reflection of the royal family. It's every day things—from the way she walks, the way she speaks, the things she does, how she eats, how she holds her cup, how she dresses—everything will be looked at the right way or the wrong way... There will be a lot for her to adapt to."

And unlike Kate Middleton, who grew up in England, Harrold says that coming from the United States puts Meghan at somewhat of a disadvantage.

"It's a different way of life," he remarks, "a different culture, completely different upbringing. So it's probably more difficult that she's got to learn not just about how to be a royal, but also learn the British way of life." But "what's great" for the former Suits star, Harrold adds, is that "she's got a wonderful sister-in-law who she can speak to, follow her lead and watch how she does it."

Additionally, Harrold says she's learning etiquette and protocol "from within," and the royal family has made it "very easy for her to just ask the question as she goes along."

After marrying Prince Harry, he tells E! News Meghan will have the opportunity to "create the rules" regarding etiquette. "They do things how they want to adapt them," Harrold explains. "If it's something she does and if the rest of the family lets her do it, it becomes the done thing and that's it."

Speaking to Prince Harry and Meghan's relationship, Harrold says it makes "complete sense" that the pair found each other. Describing Meghan as "very caring" with a "lovely personality" and passion for charity, he predicts Prince Harry "recognized" many of his own attributes within her.

"Not to mention she's a very pretty girl, and again when two people meet and fall in love who's to say? it's very much a personal thing. As far as the actual personalities go, I think it was a matched made in heaven," Harrold shares.

Naked Prince Harry In Us Weekly

The cover story of the new issue of Us Weekly details Prince Harry’s nearly two weeks of epic partying starting at a billionaire-friend’s Necker Island home to a booze-fueled tear through Vegas!

On August 23, Prince Harry was summoned to Balmoral Castle to “face up to family” following his headline-grabbing weeks of debauchery, says a palace insider. Queen Elizabeth II made her naughty grandson sweat it out before seeing him. Father Prince Charles was also at the 50,000-acre summer residence in Scotland, ready to scold Harry. In Las Vegas, Harry, 27, gambled big, hitting the high of a 3 a.m. race with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and the low of losing at strip billiards. That last nonstop night of partying was laid bare when jaw-dropping photos surfaced of the naked prince showing all but the crown jewels. “The trip was like The Hangover,” says a royal source, “only without the monkey.”

The party spree got off to a glitzy start, with Harry and his pals jetting to Necker Island to toast pal Sam Branson’s 27th birthday over six boozy nights. The Vegas leg of his trip started on August 17, when Harry checked into Wynn and scored a private cabana at the hotel’s club Surrender. Friends recruited women to come back to a VIP suite, says a royal source. “There were at least 15 hot girls, and one of Harry’s friends decided they should play strip billiards, and Harry was eager.” Ever game, he picked a woman as an opponent, adds the insider, “with blondish hair, a nice face and body. Harry only had trunks, so he got naked first.” When she lost her clothes, “Harry tried to cover her up with his body. In the photos, he was trying to be a gentleman!”

Katy Perry

Robert Pattinson
The new issue of Us also reports that Katy Perry has set her sights on nice-guy pal Robert Pattinson! They are two of the biggest s t a r s on the planet, but Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson managed to go practically unnoticed at private West Hollywood club Soho House August 23. As the pair lingered over dinner, Perry hung on Pattinson’s every word, giggling like a coquettish schoolgirl. “I’m sure they were bonding over how bad this year has been for both of them,” says an insider. But Perry, who split from husband Russell Brand in December, is interested in more than just commiserating. Pals admit that soft- spoken Pat t inson and Santa Barbara– born Perry seem mismatched. The makeup-loving, vibrant girlie-girl “is the opposite of Kristen,” says the insider of the notoriously dark Stewart. “They’re friends and they have been through a lot,” says one pal. “It would be weird to see them start dating, but stranger things have happened!”

Holly Madison

Hugh Hefner
Exclusive to Us Weekly this week comes the news that Holly Madison is pregnant with her first child. The former Girls Next Door star and Playboy Playmate tells the new issue of Us Weekly that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of nine months, party promoter Pasquale Rotella. "I've always wanted to be a mom," Madison tells Us. "But I thought it would take longer!" So far, the thrilled mom-to-be, who is now 12 weeks along, is feeling good in her pregnancy. "I've been lucky! No morning sickness, but I do get a little nauseous," the star of Las Vegas burlesque revue, Peepshow, says. "It happens before my show, so I keep ginger ale backstage."

Kate Hudson

Filming with LEA MICHELE hasn’t brought Kate Hudson any Glee. Midway through her six-episode arc as a dance teacher to Michele’s character on the Fox hit, Hudson, 33, has found her costar “a total diva,” an insider tells Hot Stuff. “Kate says Lea is a nightmare. Once, during a technical delay, Lea snapped her fingers and said, ‘Let’s go. I have plans!’ ” Between takes, Hudson (who debuts on the season 4 premiere September 13) hangs out with the whole cast — except Michele, 26. (Counters Michele’s rep, “Lea has had a great time with Kate.”) Adds the source, “Kate’s keeping her distance.”

Minka Kelly

Rekindled romance! They dated briefly in 2007, and now Minka Kelly, 32, and Chris Evans, 31, are giving it another go. “She did a number on him back then,” a source tells Hot Stuff of Kelly, who was serious with Derek Jeter from 2008 to 2011. “But she reached out to Chris this time.” The pair hit Max and Dylans eatery in Boston August 18 and took in the musical The Book of Mormon in NYC August 24. Pals just hope Evans doesn’t get burned again. Says one, “He’s still a little insecure, so he’s being cautious.”

And Prince Harry

H.R.H. Prince Henry (Harry) of Wales was hosted by Richard and Viosa Lukaj at the Greenwich Country Club to raise awareness for Sentebale, a charity for the vulnerable children of Lesotho. Sentebale means 'forget-me-not' in Lesotho and was founded by Prince Harry and Lesotho's Prince Seeiso in memory of their beloved mothers; Lady Diana, Princess of Wales and Queen Mamahato of Lesotho. It has been said that the Princes chose the name as a memorial to the charity work of their mothers, and as a reminder to all of us not to forget Lesotho or its children. The Kingdom of Lesotho, is a landlocked country and enclave—entirely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa.
Prince Harry moved through the small exclusive crowd along with our gracious host, Richard Lukaj from The Bank Street Group, making sure to greet everyone. Brian Gerard Rotchford, a friend of Princess Diana was very happy to see Prince Henry. Guests were excited to meet the handsome prince. Many welcomed him by volunteering to support his charitable endeavors. I was amongst those in awe to meet Harry, Prince of Wales, as my family ancestry has been traced back to Sir William Herbert of Raglan Castle, Wales during the 1400's. The Prince and Kedge Martin,Chief Executive of Sentebale spoke of the serious needs of the children in Lesotho who have become forgotten victims of poverty and of the HIV/AIDS epidemic ravaging the kingdom. It has the third largest HIV/AIDS rate in the world with 400,000 orphans and children in need of help, the population is about 2 million. It is admirable that Prince Harry is following in his mothers footsteps and going ahead with her charitable work. Prince Harry also discussed the soccer match between England and Germany with guest Barry Klarberg who represents many entertainers and athletes saying that it will be an exciting game. The Prince will be playing Polo on Governor's Island in the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic to benefit American Friends of Sentebale during the televised soccer match today. Most of us were sad that the USA lost to Ghana today but H.E. Ambassador Chidyausiku of Zimbabwe was pleased with the win. H.E. Ambassador Lorenzo who is putting together the MDG Awards for the second year is from the Dominican Republic prefers baseball since a majority of pro players come from his country. The evening was charming as was the Prince. Thanks to Richard Lukaj for bringing Prince Harry and this notable cause to Greenwich. Scott Singer, head of marketing and investment entertaining and author of new release How to Hit a Curveball and CEO Peter Rust and his wife were amongst the team from the Bank Street Group in attendance.

Robert Pattinson

Sexy stars Robert Pattinson and Rupert Grint have both being considered to play Prince Harry in a movie about the British monarch’s life. Director Peter Kosminsky is going to begin casting for picture The Spare, which will depict the royal’s experience losing his mother Princess Diana and serving for the British Army in Afghanistan. The filmmaker are said to be considering British actors Grint and Pattinson for the lead roles, as well as Pride and Prejudice star Rupert Friend, according to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper. Kosminsky explains, "I feel a sense of compassion for the guy (Prince Harry). His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way, his mother dies in the most tragic and, again, public way and everything is picked over. "He’s a man born to no role. His brother’s the heir and Harry’s the spare." The filmmaker is also refusing to rule out recruiting an American actor, adding: "My personal approach as a director is that I read the script and people start to pop into my head."

Britain's royal Prince William dropped his trousers during a 72-hour booze-fuelled stag party for his cousin Peter Phillips over the weekend. The Prince got so drunk on the first night of the boys only trip to Britain's Isle of Wight, which was held to celebrate Peter's impending marriage to Autumn Kelly, he flashed his blue boxer shorts during a drinking game at his exclusive hotel in the early Saturday morning. In the evening, William's brother Prince Harry got the party started when the 23-strong group, who boarded a ferry from Southampton to Cowes on Friday morning, headed to the Anchor pub. Local Sophie Beak told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "I was sitting watching the band when Harry came over holding a funnel and a pint of beer and said I had to have a drink. "He put the funnel in my mouth and began pouring lager down it, but after two gulps I had to give up. He laughed, gave me a big hug and told me to have a good night."At one point the night took a nasty turn when the royal brothers, who wore t-shirts with nicknames 'Wills' and 'Hazza' emblazoned on the back - feared they had lost the drunken stag.Harry was heard exclaiming: "Where the f**k is the stag? We've lost the f***ing stag?"Luckily, Peter, the son of Princess Anne, was found slumped in a shop doorway, and his friends escorted him back to their hotel where the party continued once again.Despite having huge hangovers, on Saturday morning the group managed to get up to go sailing round Cowes marina.Peter, 30, was immediately forced to down a pint of beer mixed with vodka, before his friends drew a pair of glasses and a moustache on his face with a black marker pen. In the evening, the group continued to torment the groom-to-be by making him wear a lycra catsuit and taping a pint glass to his hand as they embarked on another pub crawl. Peter is due to wed Autumn at Windsor's St. George's Chapel, in Berkshire, on May 17.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry hopes his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, would be proud of his involvement in fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. The young 23 tear old who is third in line to the throne, was deployed to the war-torn country late last year, and the British government issued a media blackout on the situation to avoid any potential kidnap plots involving the young royal.
News of the prince's posting was leaked by foreign media on Thursday. And Harry hopes his mother, who was killed in a car crash in Paris, France, in 1997, would approve of his duty.He tells the Press Association, "Hopefully she would be proud. "She would be looking down having a giggle about the stupid things that I've been doing, like going left when I should have gone right, finding myself in an awkward position earlier today."Harry adds his older brother Prince William is also lending his support: "(He) sent me a letter saying how proud he reckons that she would be."

Elton John arrives at service

Dapper Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry told how his and his brother William's lives had been torn in two by their mother Princess Diana's death. Speaking at the memorial service held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of her passing, the congregation, including the British Royal Family, Earl Spencer and Sir Elton John, were all visibly moved by the young prince's heartfelt speech today. Harry, 22, remembered his mother as his "guardian, friend, protector and the best mother in the world."He said his and William's lives were divided into two parts, a time when they took their loving mother for granted, and the ten years since she died. Movingly, he said he and his older sibling missed her everyday. Harry purposefully mentioned his "loving father" Prince Charles in his speech. He also offered his thoughts to "anyone else who lost someone that day" - a gesture to the Al Fayed family. Diana was tragically killed aged just 36 in a car crash in Paris in the early hours of August 31 1997, along with her lover Dodi Al Fayed. Harry said he and William spoke about Diana every day, and they remembered her as "fun loving, down to earth and genuine" and hoped the world would remember her for "making people happy". During the service at the Guards Chapel in London's Westminster area, William, 25, sat with the royal family, including his father and grandmother Queen Elizabeth, on the left side of the church. Harry sat on the right side with Diana's Brother, Earl Spencer, and the rest of her family. After Harry's frank and moving speech, many of the congregation wiped tears from their eyes, while the crowd gathered outside the church watching on a big screen applauded and wept openly. In his address, the Bishop of London, the Right Reverend Dr. Richard Chartres, remembered Diana for her charitable work.He made a point of chastising those who "use her memory to score points" - an apparent swipe at he behaviour of her former butler Paul Burrell, who was not invited to the service.Reverend Chartres went on to say: "Let us make this service the point at which we let her memory rest in peace."Prince William and Diana's sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale also gave religious readings during the service, and special prayers written especially for the occasion by the Arch Bishop of Canterbury were also read out.Among the guests were Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Sir David Frost, Sir Cliff Richard and Dodi Fayed's sister Camilla.

Prince William and Harry on stage today

British royal PRINCE HARRY remembered his embattled pals fighting in Iraq as the London concert dedicated to the memory of his mother got underway on a sombre note today. Harry joined brother Prince William onstage at Wembley Stadium in front of an estimated crowd of 70,000 after Elton John kicked off the Concert For Diana with a stirring rendition of Your Song. The two princes nervously read from handheld cue cards as they thanked the masses for helping them celebrate what would have been their later mother Princess Diana’s 46th birthday. Harry, a then made a point of saluting friends serving in the Middle East. He said, "I would also like to take this opportunity to say hi to all the guys in A Squadron of the Household Cavalry, who are serving out in Iraq at the moment."I wish I was there with you. I’m sorry I can’t be. But, to all of those on operations at the moment, we’d both like to say `Stay safe.’" Security issues forced Harry to abandon plans to join the Household Cavalry regiment in Iraq. The two princes then introduced their late mother’s favourite band, Duran Duran, who dedicated hits Wild Boys to the young royals and Rio to the memory of their mother, who died in a Paris, France car crash in 1997. As well as Elton John and Duran Duran, Tom Jones, Kanye West, Joss Stone and Lily Allen are slated to perform at the tribute concert.

Prince Harry going to Iraq ?

Prince Harry, who is due to leave for Iraq, said he is willing to risk his life to serve his country. Harry, who delivered the speech to close friends at London’s Mahiki club on Friday, said: ‘I’m s**ting myself. I’m prepared to do anything they throw at me. I’m going to miss my family. But I am proud to serve my country, which is a great honor.’ Harry arrived at the exclusive club with girlfriend Chelsy Davy, who was wearing a short red dress. Harry’s friend Guy Pelly - Mahiki’s general manager - greeted the couple and showed them around the privately booked venue. Prince William was also present, but arrived after his brother’s emotional goodbye speech. In a clear reference to the debate surrounding whether Harry should be allowed to fight on the front line, the prince insisted he would be happy to do whatever is asked of him during his six-month deployment. He is quoted in Britain’s News of the World newspaper as saying: ‘Whether I serve on the front line or carry out a desk job in Basra I just want to get out to Iraq and serve my country. I’m proud of the men I’ve trained with but I have to respect they need to be safe. They haven’t decided what exactly I’m going to do out there yet.’ Head of the British Army, General Sir Richard Dannatt, will make a decision on Harry’s exact role in the next couple of days. Harry and Chelsy spent most of the night dancing, before leaving at 12.50am, while William, 24, continued partying until 3.35am. Harry has reportedly prepared for the worst by writing a will for his $26 million fortune.
