Hillary Clinton

We are hearing on our Democratic grapevine that 'just in case' , Hillary Clinton has a short list of cabinet members she would pick if by any chance the electoral voters decide to change their mind and support her.

We are being told that she knows it's a long shot, but wants to be prepared in the event something crazy like this happens. After the Trump win, nothing is taken for granted anymore by the Clinton Camp.

Meanwhile, Anti-Trump groups are going to protest The Electoral College, urging them to change their vote to Clinton.

On November 8th, 2016, Donald Trump was declared the winner of the US presidential election. His victory, however, won't be official until December 19th, 2016, when the 538 members of the electoral college gather in state capitals across the US to formally cast their ballots for the next president.

Any hope of swaying enough electors to hand the presidency to Hillary Clinton would be rare. It is considered that a win on election day is a win with electors. Although one Republican from Texas, Chris Suprun, has said he won't vote for Mr Trump, another 36 would have to break ranks to drop the Republican below the 270-vote threshold necessary for victory.

Making matters worse, is the fact 29 states have laws that require presidential electors to support the candidate who wins a plurality of votes in their state. Two Democratic electors in Colorado are challenging the legality of those laws in court - a move that's being opposed by the Trump campaign.

As for Hillary Clinton, I have met her so many times, first when she was in the White House as First Lady and many more times after that. She is smart, very savvy as to the way the world works and after this election, she is taking no chances on being caught off guard. This is what I am being told by several sources. Do not be surprised again!

Neil Young

Donald Trump's presidential announcement really caught the attention of the world on Tuesday, but not all of them were Trump supporters.

The Donald's use of Neil Young's "Rockin' In The Free World" did not go un-noticed by the singer himself, who declared he's no fan of Trump.

"Donald Trump was not authorized to use 'Rockin' In The Free World' in his presidential candidacy announcement," said a statement from Young's management company. "Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America."

"Rockin' in the Free World" was used in an announcement for a U.S. presidential candidate without my permission.

A picture of me with this candidate was also circulated in conjunction with this announcement but It was a photograph taken during a meeting when I was trying to raise funds for Pono, my online high resolution music service.

Music is a universal language. So I am glad that so many people with varying beliefs get enjoyment from my music, even if they don't share my beliefs.

But had I been asked to allow my music to be used for a candidate - I would have said no.

I am Canadian and I don't vote in the United States, but more importantly I don't like the current political system in the USA and some other countries. Increasingly Democracy has been hijacked by corporate interests. The money needed to run for office, the money spent on lobbying by special interests, the ever increasing economic disparity and the well-funded legislative decisions all favor corporate interests over the peoples.

The Citizens United Supreme Court ruling is proof of this corruption, as well as the proposed trade deals, which would further compromise our rights.

These Corporations were originally created to serve us but if we don't appropriately prioritize they will destroy us. Corporations don't have children. They don't have feelings or soul. They don't depend on uncontaminated water, clean air or healthy food to survive. They are beholden to one thing - the bottom line.

I choose to speak Truth to this Economic Power. When I speak out on corporations hurting the common man or the environment or other species, I expect a well-financed disinformation campaign to be aimed my way.

Such is the case with the reaction to my new album The Monsanto Years, which covers many of these issues. I support those bringing these issues to light and those who fight for their rights like Freedom of Choice.

But Freedom of Choice is meaningless without knowledge.

That's why it's crucial we all get engaged and get informed.

That's why GMO labeling matters. Mothers need to know what they are feeding their children. They need freedom to make educated choices at the market. When the people have voted for labeling, as they have in Vermont, they need our support when they are fighting these corporate interests trying to reverse the laws they have voted for and passed in the democratic process.

I do not trust self-serving misinformation coming from corporations and their media trolls. I do not trust politicians who are taking millions from those corporations either. I trust people. So I make my music for people not for candidates.

Keep on Rockin' in the Free World.

- Neil Young

ABC NEWS -- According to Donald Trump, a 2016 ticket of Trump for president and Oprah Winfrey for vice president would be a lock for the White House.

"I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah," Trump told ABC News. "I think we'd win easily, actually."

Trump announced his presidential candidacy in a speech at Trump Tower in Manhattan Tuesday, sitting with ABC's George Stephanopoulos at his high-rise for his first interview as a candidate.

Trump floated Winfrey as a possible running mate in 1999, when he considered running for president as a member of the Reform Party, in an interview with Larry King.

"She's great, she's talented, she's a friend of mine," Trump told ABC's Stephanopoulos when asked if Winfrey is still on his VP shortlist.

"She's a good person. I've been on her show. In fact, I was on her show her last week, she said, 'Could I be on her show with the whole family?'" Trump said. "I like Oprah. I mean, is that supposed to be a bad thing? I don't think so."

President Barack Obama

NEW YORK -  Guinness World Records, the global authority on record-breaking achievement, can confirm that President Obama, yesterday shattered the record for Fastest time to reach one million followers on Twitter, after his new verified account @POTUS reached the figure in less than 5 hours.

Obama's latest social media achievement beats a record previously held by Ironman star Robert Downey Jr., a feat the movie star achieved in 23 hours and 22 minutes in April 2014. Downey Jr.'s Twitter debut was recognised in the 2015 edition of the Guinness World Records book.

The US President already has the account @BarackObama, which has amassed nearly 60 million followers. However, the new @POTUS account is associated with the presidential office - or as Obama puts it: "The handle comes with the house."

"The @POTUS Twitter account will serve as a new way for President Obama to engage directly with the American people, with tweets coming exclusively from him," wrote the White House Deputy Director of Online Engagement for the Office of Digital Strategy, Alex Wall, in a blog post.

Twitter's official account for government and politics statistics earlier this morning released an animated diagram showing how the President's new account quickly amassed followers across the globe. To view the diagram, click here.

President Barack Obama

Over 100 high profile artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, comedians, directors, producers, and performers are calling on President Obama and Congress to acknowledge the hope and dignity of the American immigrant story by passing just, fair, and inclusive immigration reform.

Members of the creative community who are speaking out for humane reform include Russell Banks, W. Kamau Bell, Ross Bleckner, Margaret Cho, Teju Cole, Chuck D, Rosario Dawson, Zack De La Rocha, Junot Díaz, Abigail E. Disney, Dave Eggers, Shepard Fairey, Eric Fischl, John Leguizamo, Yo-Yo Ma, Mira Nair, Robert Redford, R.E.M., The Roots, Sarah Silverman, Jose Antonio Vargas, Colson Whitehead, and many others.

Published on, the Artists’ Statement on Immigration Reform says, “Creating a just and humane immigration process is a moral and cultural imperative that secures the future of a vibrant nation. Immigration reform should reflect our shared belief in fairness and inclusion.”

“Our American cultural life would be considerably diminished without the contributions of immigrant artists,” said Jeff Chang, Executive Director of Stanford University’s Institute for Diversity in the Arts and founding member of The Culture Group and CultureStrike. “Audrey Hepburn, Igor Stravinsky, Claude McKay, Gertrude Stein, Bruce Lee, and Celia Cruz are among the innumerable immigrants who have helped to shape our vibrant nation. We are all stronger when we celebrate our diversity and welcome those who are seeking the American dream of inclusion and opportunity.”

“Almost any American can trace their family roots to immigrants,” added visual artist Shepard Fairey. “Often our ancestors migrated to escape prejudices in their homeland and to find a better life. Current immigration laws do not reflect our shared values, nor do they reflect the realities of our modern world. They all too often separate parents from their children and criminalize those seeking a better way of life.”

As Congress marks up the immigration bill this week, these artists want to remind lawmakers of the positive cultural and economic impacts of immigration, and to call on elected officials to pass legislation that:

• Ends the detentions and deportations that cause separation and suffering for families;

• Preserves families by expediting the visa process and retaining long standing policies that reunite

• and stabilize families;

• Ensures all immigrants have basic workers’ rights;

• Provides equal immigration rights to LGBTQ individuals and families; and

• Creates a clear roadmap to citizenship that includes all 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Says Raul Pacheco from Ozomatli, “Our unique American history is based on the continued contributions of hardworking people from all walks of life. An immigration reform bill that leaves no one out, keeps families together, and provides a roadmap to citizenship for all 11 million undocumented immigrants is the opportunity to live up to our highest ideals of democracy and freedom that attract so many people worldwide.”

First Lady Michelle Obama sparkled in Forevermark Diamonds at the 57th Inaugural Ball last night in Washington, DC.

Every Forevermark diamond is inscribed with a promise; a promise that it is beautiful, rare and responsible sourced. Less than one per cent of the world’s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual number.

Forevermark is a diamond brand from the De Beers group of companies and as such, benefits from over 120 years of diamond expertise. Forevermark diamonds are carefully selected and come from sources committed to high standards; are beautifully crafted by a select group of diamantaires; and are exclusively available in select jewellers.

Less than one per cent of the world’s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual identification number. Invisible to the naked eye, the inscription is made using bespoke technology from the De Beers group. It is also recorded on the personalised Forevermark identification card which comes with each and every Forevermark diamond. The actual size of the inscription found on Forevermark diamonds is only 1/20th of a micron deep and can only be seen using a special Forevermark viewer which can be found in Authorised Forevermark Jewellers. It is confirmed by leading gemmological institutes that the Forevermark inscription does not affect the internal quality of a diamond in any way.

Paul Ryan And Mitt Romney

 Anti-Gay Mitt Romney

I am ashamed to be a Republican. I really am. Watching this garbage that the Republicans throw out at the media and the American public is a disgrace.

The Supreme Court has spoken. Why can't the Republicans start to concentrate on the real issues. They can't, because they have no real answers for anything. They flip-flop on everything and all they are concerned with is getting their power back. This Mitt Romney is a absolute joke. He really is. The new health care law was modeled after his Massachusetts law. Yet he sits there knocking down the new Health Care Law on every single interview. Is this all the loser has to talk about? Mitt Romney has no new ideas and his Republican cronies have nothing new either. They are the ones that destroyed this country. They allowed all their rich friends to destroy Wall Street and the economy, and then they want to be back in power so they can continue to destroy whats left of the American Dream.

All the Republicans talk about is the new Health Care Law. They swear they will repeal it when they get into office again. Let me tell you one thing. First of all Mitt Romney will not win this election. It is his kind of thinking that got us all into this mess and Americans are not stupid. Mitt Romney is just a rich guy looking out for the rich and more important, he is looking out for his own interest. He could care less of the people who are un-employed. He has the money and now he wants absolute power. This must be stopped and will be stopped.

I also can not believe these Log Cabin Republicans, the gay arm of the Republicans, have the balls to support these anti gay Republicans. Mitt Romney is anti-gay marriage and could care less about Gay Americans having the same rights as him. These Log Cabin flames, act like they speak for the gay community, but they do not. All they are interested in is the same thing as their straight counterparts. Power and privilege. Makes me wonder what glory holes they are all working!

Michelangelo Signorile had a very interesting piece in his column in The Huffington Post. It's about the privileged Mary Cheney who gives money to anti gay candidates, but she gets to enjoy the rights that everyone else has fought for. What it looks like is that she only wants rights for her gayness and not for anyone else.

 Barack Obama

I firmly believe Barack Obama could be one of the best Presidents in history if we can vote out this Republican Congress. I think Obama has the right ideas, but he can not get anyone in the Republican controlled Congress to vote on anything, even if it's a good bill. They just have one thing in mind, they all have said it from the start, and that is to win the election and get Obama out. They said this from day one of the Obama presidency. They never cared for the American people and they still do not. They let all these banks and crooks ( Their Friends) ruin this country and now they expect us to vote them back in to finish the job. It is so sick that all we have now are politicians who only care about the money from rich people to win elections.

If we do not vote these Republicans out of office next election, I think we will only have two classes of people left. The Rich and The Poor. This will be the end of The American Dream.

Bitching By: James Edstrom

 Michael Bloomberg

Our Mayor, Mike Bloomberg just never gives up on taking away Americans rights. His new proposed soda law, that that will limit what size drink you can buy in New York City, is just so Un-American. Not only does it infringe on our rights, it is just plains stupid.

Yes, New Yorkers are overweight. Yes there are health care costs and many problems with obesity. But to take away a Americans right to chose, to take away Americans given rights, is just going too far.

Alcohol creates deaths and a huge cost on society. You will never hear the Mayor talk about banning his favorite Scotch.

Mike Bloomberg's taxes on cigarettes are already taking it's toll on the poor. Every where you go, someone asks for a cigarette. Poor people addicted to this horrible product, are still spending what little money they have on this product. Even at rich society parties, I am always asked for a cigarette, because the rich do not want to pay these outrageous taxes. Bloomberg's recent try at taxing soda may have been a flop, but he will not stop till he controls our lives right down to when we sleep.

I understand that there are many things that are not good for us. But it is our right to decide what to smoke and what to eat. Not Mike Bloomberg's!

Mitt Rommey

I have never been so ashamed to be a Republican in my life. Mitt Romney is a disgrace. He really is. He supports the rich and anyone that can not see this deserves to get what Romney has to offer. Our Republican controlled Congress could care less about the poor or the middle class. They all got money, health care and anything else they need. They will do anything to get richer, they are never happy with what they already got.

Barack Obama

My rich friends and my good friends from Fox News will fight me to the death on re-electing President Obama. Every time I go out to dinner with some of them, I just can not believe that they support these Republicans and these crazy ideas. They act like I am so uninformed on whats happening in the world. I spent two hours on the phone the other night with one rich friend, and I told her to walk around Hells Kitchen or the Bowery in lower Manhattan to see real poverty. Raising money for these already rich charities does just about nothing. Spend Christmas at The Bowery Mission feeding the homeless who are starving. Send some money to The Bowery Mission where every dime counts. Stop spending money at five thousand dollar plate dinners where the charity spent a quarter million to entertain you. When I go to these events, I just feel sickened. I really do.

Barack Obama has the right ideas, but he can not get anything done because of this Republican controlled Congress. We need health care. We need alternative energy solutions so we are not controlled by these oil countries.

We also need laws and regulation, no matter what the Republicans say. What happened on Wall Street was a disgrace. We bailed out the rich. If we had let these banks fail, the rich would have lost their money, the average person who had below 100 thousand would have been insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Banks would have become smaller, and maybe for once, the average customer would have been important again. Maybe banks would have started to play fair again.

Banks are still breaking the laws that we already have in place. Bank Of America is one good example. They break the laws, make billions off doing it and they are only fined a few million. Shouldn't the fine match the ripoff? The banks know they are breaking the law, they just figure the fine will be so much less and it's a cost of doing business. And they are right. It is time to start sending these crooks to jail. If you run a company and you rip off billions, you need to go to jail and not pay a small fine, but do the time.

Barack Obama is for the middle class and the poor. He understands the suffering Americans are going through now. He understands that we need Social Security to keep people out of poverty. Millions of Americans have paid into the Social Security system to insure that they had money coming in as they age. They have a right to get what they paid for and for what was agreed upon when they paid into the system. The Republicans could care less. The Republicans only care about taking care of their interests.

Vote The Republicans Out Of Office!

Tuesday, April 03, 2012

Barack Obama

It is a shame that everyone is fighting about Health Care. No matter what anyone says, Americans need a good Health Care system that includes everyone. It may not be perfect, but Barack Obama has done the right thing and improvements will be made.

The Supreme Court I hope does the right thing. Everyone is fighting that it is not legal to make people buy insurance. Well no matter what anyone says, one fact that no media outlet has picked up on is we already have been required for many, many years to buy insurance.

It's called automobile insurance. Aren't we forced to buy this? If you are pulled over by a cop and you do not have, you will get a ticket and fined. Isn't this the same premise for this health care law? If you do not have, you will get fined. I see no difference here.

Homophobic Mitt Romney

These Republicans are the worst I ever saw in my life, and I am a Republican my whole life. The past few years they have gotten so bad, the Democrats always get my vote. They are just sick, plain and simple. They are anti-gay, they fight for the rich and they are just plain dishonest. They really are. These guys lie and lie, depending on what state they are in. They have no shame. They really believe they have the answers. Look what George Bush did. September 11th happened on his watch. The wars were started on the George Bush watch. The crooks of Wall Street, with the help of the laws created by the Republican party destroyed our economy. On the Republicans watch, the housing market collapsed, the banks were allowed to steal and everyone got away with it. There are no jobs because of the George Bush Republicans. The rich got richer because of the Republicans and the middle class got destroyed. My rich friends have more than they ever did.

Now they have the balls to blame all this on Barack Obama and to go state to state slinging their bulls**t. Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum are sick. They are so out of touch with America. Newt Gingrich is right along with them, and I like Newt personally, I had drinks with him at Broadway Langans, next door to Fox News. But these Republicans think they have the right to judge us.

I also like Ron Paul personally. Many years ago, he was at my house in Glen Cove Long Island when he first started to run for President. He really is a nice guy, he is also very funny. Out of all the Republicans, he is the only one that makes some kind of sense on many issues. But the Republicans will never nominate him, so I hope he runs as a Independent to take away votes from the real Republican losers. These guys are smoking better marijuana than me, if they think they have any chance to win the Presidency.

Needless to say, I am waiting for the New York Primary, I will vote for Ron Paul and then I am switching my party affiliation to the Democrats. Barack Obama is a good President, if only these Republicans would let him do his job. I always have voted for the right person, it never mattered what party they were. Barack Obama wants to do the right thing, but the Republicans will risk destroying the country to win a election and to help their rich friends. They are really sick!

I have to say, Seth Lamar from my landlords office called yesterday to discuss some problems in the building. I did not care for him when he was director of this building, but since they moved him to the main office, I get a kick out of him. I think we could have been friends in another life.

Today he told me I was their favorite tenant, they loved me. This really cracked me up, considering I am under the weather this week. I send endless e-mails on a regular basis to them telling them about problems here and the things that need to be dealt with. The other day, I was not a happy camper when I was once again woken up by this bathroom they built for employees over 4 years ago. Yes, I have been fighting over this for 4 years or more now. Anyway, when I was rudely woken up once again, I marched downstairs to yell at everyone in management. I noticed Seth was in the building and when he saw me, he made a dart to the front door.

I am not a pretty sight when I am woken up so early. My hair is up in the air, I always throw on something that makes me look like a hobo, and I look a mess. But this never stops me when I am so pissed off at being awakened from my beauty sleep. Not missing a beat, I made my way outside after Seth to yell about this bathroom. I followed him all the way down the block to the deli. I know I looked like a nut, but the aggravation caused by this employee bathroom is enough now. It's been over 4 years of hearing this bathroom door slamming. It's not fair. There are employee bathrooms all over this building and my life has been hell because of it. It has to go.

But at least I got a laugh this week, I am the favorite tenant here!

It really amazes me how many e-mails I get from publicists, with photos enclosed. They are promoting their fashion clients, their Vodka or their car company account. Some of the photos have watermarks on them, showing the owner of the photo and I always e-mail these people back and ask them if they own rights to the photo. If I do not know the publicist, I double and triple check to see if they own rights. Most of the time I get a stupid e-mail back saying they don't and they tell me where I can purchase them.

Are they nuts? First of all, I am not going to buy a photo to promote their client. Second of all, I can imagine how many websites and media outlets assume they do own the rights and use them. These publicists are stealing and creating possible lawsuits to many media outlets.

If you want to promote your client, you need to buy the photo. You need to do your job right, and not steal from hard working photographers to save a buck.

Being a photographer myself, I know how hard it is to make a buck in this business these days. The days of the 50 thousand dollar photos are gone, your lucky if you can get a hundred bucks for a shot these days, and by these publicists stealing, photographers make even less.

I get very tired of bad shots too. I have so many publicists who have high paying clients and they send out the worst shots, because they do not want to spend the money on a good photographer. I can't tell you how many stories I refuse because of bad shots. It amazes me that these publicists and even their own clients would want some of these bad shots even seen. When I explain to them that a bad photo makes my site look bad and worse, it makes their paying client look bad, they still do not understand. They will argue with me, like their story is world breaking news and I need to publish it.

I really find myself getting nasty these days towards these people. It kills me even more, when the local PR people send me some famous photographers work and it is garbage. They yell at me telling me "do you know who took this photo?" Like I care. I have had every cover across the world and I have been on every TV show talking about the art of being a celebrity photographer, or commenting as a celebrity expert. I know great shots. It kills me even more, knowing they paid big bucks for this well known photographer and they could have hired me and gotten what they paid for. Even worse, I am expected to photoshop their high paid photographers work. The untalented photographer gets paid and they expect me to mop up the mess and get nothing.

I tell you, the photography business has just gotten worse and worse. Every moron with a digital camera, thinks hes a photographer. It's not just pushing a bottom and taking a picture. You have to control your subject so you get the shot you need. You tell them how great their outfit looks, how much you loved their last movie, or tell them a funny story on the last time you photographed them. This will make the celebrity stand there and talk to you while you are snapping shot after shot and almost always you will end up with that one great photo to use worldwide. This is a talent very few of the new breed of photographers have. Great photography takes more than pushing a camera button!

Hair Raising Donald Trump

Moron Donald Trump With Fellow Moron Mitt Romney

Donald Trump announced his endorsement of Mitt Romney at the Trump Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Having photographed Donald Trump many times over the years, this guy is really a asshole. Always was, always will be.

Now all my readers know I rarely say anything bad about anyone on this website. After years working with all the major publications like the NY Post, People Magazine, The Enquirer and 100's more, I got so tired of all the bad stories we were always working on. But I don't like Donald Trump. I never did out of the many times I have met him and talked to him. I love his kids, they are wonderful. I love Ivana, shes a dream, I even stayed a weekend many years ago in Palm Beach at Mar A Logo partying with her and my friends. She's a gem. But Donald is a moron. He really is. It makes me sick that the media will keep feeding into these announcements from Trump about jumping into the presidential race. Subway gunman Bernie Goetz would get more votes than Donald Trump. At least Bernie has a pulse on whats happening in our country. Donald Trump has no idea.

Donald Trump came from money and has no idea what it is like to struggle. He was always rich and will always be rich. I was in his old apartment in Trump Tower many times over the years. Gold plated fixtures everywhere and servants to cater to his every need. This is Donald Trumps life.

So here we have ultra rich Donald Trump, telling America that ultra rich Mitt Romney should be president. Are you kidding me? America is not this dumb. Donald Trump has been the master of the media for many years. He's been pulling these stunts for so long.

I remember when Ivana and Donald were getting a divorce. At that time Donald owned the Plaza Hotel and Ivana ran it. The media was playing this out like a war of the worlds. I got a tip from all the Trump's publicity people that Ivana was hosting a party at the Plaza and she might run into her battling future ex. Sure enough I head over there and lo and behold they collide. Pure media magic. Donald missed his calling, he should have been a publicist. He is the master at publicity stunts and it amazes me that the media still falls for it all. Donald Trump is a arrogant moron with the worst hair I ever saw. He's had more dye jobs than Joan Rivers. I only wish he could get as many face lifts as Joan Rivers, but he's probably been told it wont help!

Ron Paul

Ron Paul In Nevada

Congressman and Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul of Texas, held a rally at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada. It's a shame he will never get the nomination, I like this guy and he has great ideas. The only problem is I believe we need to let Barack Obama finish what he started. Mitt and Newt's thinking is what got this country in this mess. And America will not elect these two. America is not so dumb. So I say let Barack Obama finish his term and then next election, I would love to see Ron Paul again.
