The former Assistant District Attorney for Fulton County, GA, who recently moved to New York City shared that she is currently working on a web series for People.com and writing a book. As for her much publicized recent breakup she told the publication, “It’s crazy—and it sucks. I know that you have to have thick skin, and it's really easy to say that, but when you don't come from an environment where everyone knows your business and everything is on public display, and you're suddenly plucked from obscurity into this whole world, it’s a shock.”

The show examines “real-life stories of unconventional inheritances.” Each evening, two half-hour episodes  air back-to-back featuring Colby as she explores a range of unusual circumstances from a family trying to keep a 900-acre bug museum in business to the discovery of a rare 1913 Liberty Head nickel. Colby joined FNC in 2003 and took a hiatus from her current role as co-anchor for the network’s America’s News Headquarters to film FBN’s Strange Inheritance.
