Donnie Wahlberg With Paul Wahlberg And Mark Wahlberg

Coney Island got a dose of star power last night when visitors got a “sneak peek” of New York’s first Wahlburgers, courtesy of owners and brothers Mark Wahlberg, Donnie Wahlberg and Paul Wahlberg.

Rhea Durham And Mark Wahlberg
The red carpet event was an unlikely sight for Coney Island, which is now rebuilding after damage caused to the area by Hurricane Sandy. For Donnie, the cause is personal. “I lost my own home to Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey,” he said. “I know how important it is to reinvest and to believe in an area that needs it. And, Coney Island needs it.” Mark Wahlberg, who was hand in hand throughout the evening with wife Rhea Durham, echoed his brother’s sentiment in saying, “I think Coney Island's really chose us. Plus, it’s such an iconic location.” The party reflected the brothers’ humble, Boston roots, which is also evident in Wahlburgers Coney Island, which will open in early July. “Wahlburgers is a place where people are happy to be,” said Paul. “We’re happy to have you in there. We give people that feeling of being welcome and being home.”

Guests enjoyed a sampling of Wahlburgers’ hamburgers, which are made from what Paul calls a “proprietary blend” and topped with an ingredient the brothers grew up with: government cheese.

Wahlburgers Ribbon Cutting

The event began with a ribbon cutting by Donnie, Paul, Wahlburgers’ New York partner, John Cestare and City Councilman Mark Treyger. After cutting the ribbon, Donnie held the giant scissors in the air, and hugged his brother, Paul. He then gave a speech to fans, sharing his excitement about bringing Wahlburgers to Coney Island. Later, as Baruch Shemtov from New York’s FOX affiliate was reporting from the event, he, and his viewers, got a surprise with the ultimate video bomb when Donnie unexpectedly hopped into the shot. About being spared from a forecast of heavy rain and hail, Donnie told Shemtov, “I called my man J.C. and said, ‘listen man, part the clouds.’” He added during the surprise interview, “I love Brooklyn. I love New York.”

Actors Abigail Hawke and Len Cariou attended the event in support of Donnie, who is their “Blue Bloods” co-star. Chicago Bulls shooting guard, Jimmy Butler, joined the group, as well, happily mingling with fans. Hawke looked striking in a black Halston Heritage jumpsuit and Calvin Klein pumps.

The Wahlburgers Family

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – As part of the revitalization of the Coney Island area, Wahlburgers, the popular fast casual burger restaurant chain, is coming to Coney Island in June and will be hosting an all-day job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. beginning Thursday, May 28 through Saturday, May 30. The fair will be held onsite at 3015 Stillwell Ave., where managers will meet with applicants who want to become a part of the newest outpost of the burger hotspot.

“Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, we are thrilled to be at the forefront of the revitalization of Coney Island with the opening of Wahlburgers, in turn creating job opportunities for people in the area,” said partner, John Cestare of Big Apple Burgers. “Growing up in New York, visiting Coney Island was a family tradition, which is why I feel a personal connection to having our first New York location open in a place that is treasured by so many.”

The Wahlburgers team will be interviewing to fill more than 75 positions, including: management, restaurant supervisors, wait staff, bartenders, chefs, hosts, retail and cafe personnel and bus staff.

The new 6,800-square-foot restaurant and bar will be the first to open in New York, and will share all of the signature characteristics of the flagship Wahlburgers in Hingham, Mass., which has made the popular burger joint a smashing success. In addition to seating for up to 300 guests, Wahlburgers at Coney Island will offer a rooftop patio with a retractable glass roof for dining, an indoor-outdoor bar and a walk-up window serving tasty fare and specialty cocktails. A retail shop will also offer branded Wahlburgers merchandise, including T-shirts, key chains, shot glasses and more.

LYNNE LOVE --- Electric Light Orchestra's Jeff Lynne has confirmed that he is working on a new album.

Speaking at the Classic Rock Honors in Los Angeles this week, where he was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music award, Lynne discussed plans for forthcoming ELO gigs in North America and added: "I'm working on a new album and they'll be involved in the new times when we play."

"I had so much [fun] in Hyde Park with 50,000 people, where I just played in September, first time I've played in 28 years it was fantastic and I loved every minute, so I'm definitely gonna come here [the US] and play." When asked when those gigs would take place, he said: "Not too long." His manager, Craig Fruin, confirmed that the shows would take place in 2015.

Lynne performed at the BBC Radio 2's Festival In A Day in Hyde Park, London, earlier this year, marking the influential pop group's return to the U. K. stage 28 years after their last full concert performance. During the 75-minute set, the Birmingham-born Lynne told the 50,000-strong crowd: "I'll do this again."

The reluctant frontman had been talked into performing at the annual event by BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Chris Evans.

The show saw Lynne head a band that included original ELO keyboard player Richard Tandy and the BBC Concert Orchestra, who fleshed out his compositions with record-perfect renditions. Lynne seemed overwhelmed by the reaction, sticking two thumbs up to the crowd after opening with "All Over The World." He said: "Wow, fantastic. It's unbelievable this really. I haven't done anything like this for so long, I can't believe it."

ELO enjoyed a run of 27 Top 40 hits from 1972 to 1986, when Lynne retired the group. He went on to produce the reunited Beatles' new songs for 1995's Anthology albums, as well as George Harrison’s Cloud Nine album and the two Traveling Wilbury albums.

In fact, he went onto a terrifically successful career as a producer, including working on albums by Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Ringo Starr, Brian Wilson Randy Newman, and Del Shannon, among others. In 2008, The Washington Times named Lynne the fourth greatest record producer in music history.

A planned ELO reunion tour was scrapped in 2000.

DECADES OF DIVAS --- Academy Award-winning songwriter Franke Previte (Dirty Dancing) is realizing an entirely new musical dream in his debut as a show producer with Decades Of Divas, a musical journey with the world’s most influential women in re-inventing and revolutionizing music from the 1940’s through the present.

Decades Of Divas makes its world premiere ahead of a national tour, tomorrow, Nov. 8, 2014 at the Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank, NJ. Show time is 8:00 PM.

The show stars popular New Jersey shore vocalist-dancer Lisa Sherman, the show’s co-creator, who leads an arsenal of singers and musicians across a pair of nightclubs (G-Dog’s Jazz CafĂ© and the Roxie Lounge) and right down Memory Lane, which runs between them, to evoke and pay tribute to the greatest divas we’ve embraced through the decades. Decades Of Divas features the songs of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, Carole King, Janis Joplin, Celine Dion, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Bonnie Raitt, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, and, Adele.

“These legendary divas and songs are part of the fabric we, and the generations before us, all grew up with and loved,” says Previte. “So the show follows each singer passing the torch to the next. The performers show how they’re influenced by each diva .They don’t just sing the songs and sound like the artist; there’s a theatrical thread throughout. It’s a journey of five singers celebrating the divas who have influenced them.”

Previte, who earned an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Grammy nomination for writing “(I've Had) The Time of My Life,” the iconic No. 1 hit from Dirty Dancing, has put together a multi-media experience which comes to life in large part through the multiple performing talents of Sherman, a former Radio City Rockette, veteran of several Broadway shows and star of her own TV show in New Zealand.

WOODY & BUZZ BACK ---  They will release on June 16, 2017.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will reprise their roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

Toy Story 4 will open a new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the Toy Story gang, Disney said, with Lasseter having come up with the idea for the fourth installment with Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich, who are the team behind the first three films.

“We love these characters so much; they are like family to us,” Lasseter said in a statement. “We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before. Toy Story 3 ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy (going off to college) so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another movie, but when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie—and I wanted to direct it myself.”

Lasseter, also directed Cars and Cars 2. A third installment is also planned.

Toy Story 3 was released in 2010 and earned nearly $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office. Unkrich, who co-directed Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and Toy Story 2, directed the third installment.

It will be in theaters June 16, 2017.

Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg and his beautiful fiancee Rhea Durham celebrated the baptism of their youngest son with a church ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts last Sunday. The happy pair planned the event at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Dorchester to coincide with Brendan Joseph's first birthday. The family, including the couples older children Ella Rae, 5, and Michael, 3, traveled from Los Angeles California to Mark's hometown for the baptism, which was held at the same church where they paid their last respects to Wahlberg's late father at his funeral last year. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family, and saw Mark's older brother Robert Wahlberg named godfather to the eight-month-old. A source tells Radar Online, "Mark's dad loved his older kids, Ella Rae and Michael. He didn't live to meet Brendan so it was important for Mark to take the baby to the church were his dad was eulogized. It was a very loving and moving gesture on Mark's part.

Mark Wahlberg

Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg wants to move his family out of Hollywood, because he doesn’t want his daughter to grow up emulating her neighbors Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. The actor insists his main priority is providing positive and educational surroundings for his young children, daughter Ella Rae, five, and sons Michael, two, and his newborn Brendan Joseph. And he is admitting that celebrity-obsessed Hollywood may not be the best place for kids to grow up. He says, "We won’t stay there forever but it’s very difficult to raise normal kids in an environment like that. And I was thinking there’s no real role models for girls. "You’ve got Britney Spears, you’ve got Paris Hilton; they’re nice enough people but I don’t want my daughter to aspire to be like that. "I’m much more concerned with being a good dad and being there for them and teaching them and hopefully helping them avoid some of the mistakes that I’ve made."

Sexy Mark Wahlberg has threatened to ‘crack’ comic Andy Samberg's nose after the funnyman poked fun at him in a skit on Saturday Night Live. The Hollywood actor, a one-time juvenile delinquent, admits he was far from impressed with Samberg’s comedy in a farmyard segment, where he pretended to be hard-man Wahlberg. And he made his feelings known on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, when he was reminded of the clip.Wahlberg said, "When I see that kid, I’m gonna crack that big f**king nose of his." But the actor made sure Kimmel knew he was partly joking when he used Samberg’s Wahlberg catchphrase, adding, "And then I’m gonna tell him, ‘Say hi to your mother for me.’" But Samberg still needs to be worried; Wahlberg said, "I think I’m gonna get on a plane tomorrow, I’m gonna go to New York… wherever the f**k they shoot that show. He probably doesn’t have a dressing room so I have to find him in the cafeteria, and I’m gonna slap him in the big nose."Tune in, I guaran-f**king-tee you… And then instead of me forgiving him, I’ll ask him to forgive me. Right?"

Sexy Mark Wahlberg has reportedly purchased a $35 million mansion in Los Angeles California to make room for his much expanding family. Wahlberg and his fiancee Rhea Durham put their Beverly Hills home on the market for $15.9 million following the birth of their newest baby son, Brendan, last month. And the Hollywood couple has reportedly made plans to move to an eight-bedroom home in a nearby neighborhood which is already home to Denzel Washington, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. A source tells America’s Star magazine, "Mark and Rhea suddenly felt their house was too small. Now that they have baby number three, they need a live-in nanny, a live-in cook and a housekeeper to help Rhea."He wants space for when family comes to visit. And he’s adamant about the kids all having their own rooms." The couple is also parents to Ella Rae, five, and Michael, two.

Sexy Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg is vowing to make his marriage to fiancee Rhea Durham last, because he is convinced he made a very bad mistake walking away from her in the past. The actor has revealed his plans to wed his longtime girlfriend Rhea Durham next July. He says, "We broke up after Ella was born. We'd been on again, off again for those few years. But we always wanted to make it work, we wanted to be together, we wanted to raise our family together. And it's been a lot of hard work and counseling, and I think that's the only way to make it work, to put in the time and effort. "I can't talk about why and what happened (when I left), obviously. But going away doesn't make it work. The happy couple already has a 4-year-old daughter, Ella, and a 2-year-old son, Michael. They are expecting their third child later this month.

Mark Wahlberg

Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg grabbed some lunch yesterday in Beverly Hills, California. Mark ate alone and enjoyed a sandwich and then walked back to his car still eating. Is that baloney and cheese Mark?
