Pop superstar Madonna is devastated that her brother Christopher Ciccone has written a tell-all book about her personal life, according to the singers estranged sibling. Madonna was so upset after learning last month that her younger brother was to publish the explosive book, Life With My Sister Madonna, that she reached out to her father for some comfort. Speaking on U.K. TV show GMTV today, Ciccone revealed: "We do still email but we haven’t spoken (since the book was published). "I did send her an email a week before it came out. She was very upset and expressed it to our dad, but not to me. I did send an email saying ‘I love you and I would never do anything to intentionally hurt you’." But the 47-year-old insists he has no regrets over publishing the autobiography: "I had to write it. No matter how you look at it, it’s about me and my perspective. I don’t consider it a betrayal at all. It’s an honorable representation of our lives… I hope we can be friends again."

K.D. LANG DENIES MADONNA LESBIAN FLING

Pop Singer k.d. lang is denying she once conducted a sexual relationship with pop singing icon Madonna. The out Lesbian Lang and Madonna hit the headlines in the 1990s over claims they had enjoyed a very brief fling. MADONNA'S BROTHER WANTS TO BE EQUAL

Pop singer Madonna's estranged brother Christopher Ciccone is refusing to make amends with his sister until she speaks to him as an "equal". The brother blames Madonna’s marriage to director Guy Ritchie for creating a rift between the pair, accusing the director of homophobia. Speaking on television today to promote his book Life With My Sister Madonna, Ciccone says, "Frankly, I don’t want to talk to her unless we speak to each other as equals. That’s where it has to come from and if she stays together with her husband and that means we don’t have a relationship, as long as she’s happy, it’s cool with me." But Ciccone admits he hasn’t given up on reuniting with his famous sister. He adds, "What I’m suggesting is that Guy’s attitude towards me needs to change, number one. And also her attitude toward me needs to change, number two… I’d like to get to know my niece and nephew better. I’d like to meet David… it will take some time for us to find our way back to a good place. I’m not sure if and when that will happen. I hope it does."

Madonna's people are allegedly manipulating the media’s attention toward her controversial relationship with Rodriguez, only to generate press for her upcoming tour it seems. Just days after Madonna was forced to deny an affair with current New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, former team player Canseco claims Madonna attempted to seduce him back in 1991 - when he was still married. He alleges the pair enjoyed a three-to-four month affair, but were never intimate. Canseco tells Us Weekly magazine, "She had a Cuban child (Lourdes) and wanted another one. She wanted to get married and have a child with me." Madonna has recently denied any romantic ties to the baseball great and she is insisting she isn’t to blame for the break-up of his marriage, despite reports she has become the baseball star’s soul mate. A source tells the British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Trust me, it’s over. Why else would they both consult divorce lawyers ? Madonna hates being pushed into a corner and would hate other people having the satisfaction of saying, ‘We told you so.’ "The announcement will be slipped out after her tour, as planned." It would not be the first time the pop star has attempted to keep big news quiet. In 2006, at the height of speculation that Madonna was to adopt a child from Malawi, Rosenberg issued a statement on behalf of the singer vehemently denying the adoption rumors. Madonna has met with Fiona Shackleton, the attorney who represented Paul McCartney during his court battle with Heather Mills, according to Access Hollywood. The singing icon reportedly approached Shackleton after initial talks with a rival law firm fell through. The latest divorce story comes just two weeks after a representative for Madonna called news that the singer had hired Mills' lawyer Nicholas Mostyn "completely untrue."
A rep tells Access Hollywood there will be "no comment at this time" concerning the new story, while a spokesperson for Shackleton says, "We have a policy of not speaking with the press." Guy Ritchie is reportedly being represented by Mayfair law firm Forsters.

A government official has revealed the singing icon is set to be made an honorary citizen of the country.The icon, has become emotionally attached to the impoverished nation after adopting little David Banda from an orphanage there in 2006, leading her to fund orphanages all over the country. She has also set plans in motion to build a $40 million school to help provide education to Malawian girls. Madonna recently produced the documentary I Am Because We Are, in which she chronicles the plight of the Malawian people. The documentary opened to critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in France earlier this month. And now the singing star will be honored for her devotion to the country, with the country’s government making plans to grant her the same rights as their citizens, reports Britain’s Hello! magazine. Billy Kaunda, Malawi’s deputy tourism and culture minister, is quoted as saying, "We are proud as a country to be associated with such a megastar."She will have freedom of all cities here. She won’t be bothered with issues like visas and other limitations."

JUDGE DELAYS MADONNA ADOPTION CASE

A judge at Malawi’s High Court has delayed pop star Madonna's adoption hearing until next week.The singer and her hubby Guy Ritchie’s adoption of two-year-old David Banda was expected to be finalized today. But the judge overseeing the case has cancelled the court date in order to allow him more time to talk with adoption officials.Madonna’s lawyer, Alan Chinula, says, "We are finished with the proceedings today from our side, and the judge has decided to reserve his ruling on the case until next week because he has to review the recommendations from the Malawi Human Rights Commission on the adoption laws of Malawi." A new date for the court hearing - which Madonna and Ritchie are not required to attend - is due to be announced in the next few days.The judge’s final ruling will end a 20-month long saga, since Madonna brought Banda back to the U.K. from a Malawian orphanage in October 2006, when he was just 13 months old.

Director Guy Richie and pop singer Madonna have proved themselves to be very good parents, because adopted son David Banda has grown into an "excellent" child, according to official documents leaked to the media. The superstar couple brought the then-two-year-old Banda back to Britain from a Malawian orphanage in 2006, but caused controversy after it was claimed they had side-stepped the official adoption process. However, the Ritchie's appear to have won over Malawian authorities, with a new court report praising the couple’s parenting skills.The document states: "Mr and Mrs Ritchie have shown a strong commitment in providing the infant with all essential needs like love, safe home environment, care, protection, material as well as emotional support." The report, filed by ministry official Simon Chisale, goes on to say little David’s "bonded well with the couple and other key members of the household", and "continues to develop into a happy, thriving toddler. His survival, growth and development is excellent". The case is due to be reviewed at the Malawian High Court on May 15th, when a judge is expected to formally approve the permanent adoption of the lucky child. Madonna has already had the hearing postponed twice, because of her busy schedule for her new album Hard Candy.

Former television host Rosie O'Donnell is hoping to persuade her gal pal Madonna to direct an episode of hit plastic surgery drama NIP/TUCK, after playing a recurring role on the show.The star has played lottery winner Dawn Budge on a handful of episodes of Nip/Tuck, since making a naked debut in 2006, and now she wants her pal to get on the set of the hit show. Show regular Kelly Carlson says, "Madonna’s been approached because Rosie is on our show and they’re very good friends. I’ve begged the producers to get her on the show."She has such a great mind for stuff like this that I think she’d be a great director for an episode.
