Meghan Markle

E! NEWS -- Meghan Markle's future with Suits may be up in the air, but her future, living in her Toronto apartment is definitely coming to an end.

The actress, who is dating England's Prince Harry, wrapped her seventh (and possibly final) season of the USA show, which is filmed in Toronto, Canada, and is officially moving house.

A source confirms to E! News that on Tuesday movers were packing and removing all of Meghan's things out of her Annex apartment.

The source also added that, for now, many of Markle's things will be going into storage, while others are being shipped to London, where she was spotted Christmas shopping on Tuesday.

The moving news has lead to even more speculation that the Canadian-living American actress is gearing up for a big move across the pond to live in London, the same city as her royal beau, so that the two can get engaged.

Rumors of an imminent engagement have been swirling ever since the duo made their first joint appearance at the Invictus Games on Sept. 25.

Last week, E! News reported that Markle's presence on the eighth season of USA drama was still unknown but that both Markle and Patrick J. Adams were looking to exit the long-running series.

As for Markle, who's starred as paralegal-turned-lawyer (and Adams' on-screen fiancee) Rachel Zane since the show's beginning, chatter over her possible departure from the legal show has run rampant since Buckingham Palace confirmed the actress and philanthropist was dating Prince Harry.

Per THR, the duo was spotted filming a wedding scene earlier this month in Toronto, adding fuel to the raging fire that their onscreen love story is coming to its close.

Reps for USA, Adams and Markle all declined to comment on the show's casting.

George Michael In Wham

Wham Icon George Michael has died, his publicist said today.

The world famed singer was only 53 years old.

Michael's fantastic career began with the duo Wham in the 1980s, churning out hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," and "Last Christmas" and continued into the 90s after he launched his debut chart-topping solo album "Faith" in 1987.

His publicist said he died at his home in Oxfordshire, according to a statement released to Britain's Press Association by Michael's publicist.

"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period," it read.

"The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."

Authorities say there are no suspicious circumstances involved.

Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone (Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley) are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to: shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London's trendiest hotspots.

But when they accidentally push Kate Moss into the River Thames at an über-fashionable launch party, Eddy and Patsy become entangled in a media storm surrounding the supermodel's untimely demise and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE reunites Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as the iconic Edina and Patsy along with the rest of the original cast that includes Julia Sawalha as Saffy, Jane Horrocks as Bubble and June Whitfield as Mother. Leona Lewis

Regent Street, London, W1 is thrilled to announce that Leona Lewis, Passenger and Eliza Doolittle will perform at the Regent Street Christmas Lights switch on celebrations on Saturday 9 November. Breakfast presenters Jamie Theakston & Emma Bunton from London's Heart 106.2 will head a star-studded line up leading into the big switch on moment where Regent Street will be lit up by the amazing Christmas lights and a spectacular pyrotechnic display to launch Christmas in London’s West End.

This year’s Regent Street Christmas lights will be switched on by Emmy Award® Winning actor Ty Burrell and Hollywood film director Rob Minkoff. The lights depict the forthcoming DreamWorks Animation film Mr. Peabody and Sherman, an all-new comedy adventure for the whole family directed by The Lion King’s Rob Minkoff, which will be released by Twentieth Century Fox in the UK and Ireland on 7 February 2014.

Mr Peabody, voiced by Ty Burrell (Modern Family), is a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel Laureate, gourmand, two-time Olympic medallist, and genius…who also happens to be a dog. Using his most ingenious invention, the WABAC machine, Mr. Peabody and his adopted boy Sherman, voiced by Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man), hurtle back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand and interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. But when Sherman breaks the rules of time travel, our two heroes find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future, while Mr. Peabody may face his biggest challenge yet – being a parent.

On Saturday 9 November, Regent Street will be traffic-free all day. There will be catwalk shows to get the party started, featuring many of the famous Regent Street fashion brands, including Jaeger, Austin Reed, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture, Hawes & Curtis, Brooks Brothers, Sebago and Camper. Starting at 3pm, there are several opportunities throughout the afternoon to enjoy the fashion shows, leading up to the stage entertainment and switch on moment.

This year Glasshouse Street, the pedestrianised area in the recently developed Regent Street Quadrant, will also have Christmas decorations.

David Shaw, Head of Regent Street Portfolio at The Crown Estate said: "Regent Street is thrilled about its Christmas lights partnership with Twentieth Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation. The animated film Mr. Peabody and Sherman is a perfect match for our Christmas lights celebrations in that it supports our values of quality, heritage style and success. The festive shopping season always kicks off with the Regent Street Christmas lights, and this year we have delivered yet more exciting new retailing including Longchamp, J. Crew, & Other Stories and United Nude Shoes”.

Chris Green, Theatrical Marketing Director at Twentieth Century Fox, said. “We're extremely excited to be sponsoring the biggest ever Christmas light display on Regent Street with our new family adventure comedy from DreamWorks Animation, Mr. Peabody & Sherman. On Saturday 9 November there will be an all-day road closure for VIPeabody Day which will include fun-filled entertainment for the entire family with a fireworks display following the switch-on moment. We can’t wait to introduce Mr. Peabody & Sherman’s time traveling adventures; it’s a must-see for the entire family – in cinemas 7 February”.

Plan your visit to Regent Street by visiting to check out the schedule for the exciting day’s activities on Saturday 9 November for Christmas on Regent Street.

As one of the world’s premier retail destinations, Regent Street provides the ultimate Christmas shopping experience, with the largest Burberry in the world and other international flagship stores such as Coach, Apple, Jaeger, Armani Exchange and Liberty, along with newly opened Longchamp, uber cool shoe brand United Nude and soon-to-open J. Crew from the US, as well as KIKO MAKE UP MILANO from Italy.

The Regent Street Gift Card offers an easy solution for Christmas gift dilemmas. The first of its kind to be offered in a UK high street rather than a shopping mall, it is currently accepted in over 130 stores, hotels and restaurants in and around Regent Street. It can be purchased 24 hours a day from and up until 3pm on Christmas Eve by visiting the Regent Street Association, Linen Hall, 162-168 Regent Street.

Rolling Stones "Sweet Summer Fun"

SpectiCast announced the theatrical release of The Rolling Stones ‘Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live’ premiering worldwide (excluding the UK, Canada, and Japan) on November 6, 2013. ‘Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live’ chronicles The Rolling Stones’ historic and triumphant return to London’s Hyde Park with a 2-hour live concert film.

In July 2013, over 100,000 ecstatic fans packed into Hyde Park for two spectacular outdoor concerts to see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood do what they do best. Augmenting the line-up were long-term live touring band members Lisa Fischer, Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys and Tim Ries, who all added their inimitable flair and finesse. The Stones delivered a five star performance that had both fans and critics singing their praises. The Stones packed in hit after hit such as Satisfaction, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Miss You, It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll, Gimme Shelter, Doom and Gloom and Sympathy for the Devil.

Former guitarist Mick Taylor, whose live debut with the Stones took place at the original 1969 Hyde Park concert – joined the band on stage to guest on the bluesy ‘Midnight Rambler’ and on closing track ‘Satisfaction’.

“We are once again excited to be working with Eagle Rock Entertainment and I believe that Rolling Stones ‘Sweet Summer Sun: Hyde Park Live’ will be one of the biggest Event Cinema programs of the season, says Mark Rupp, Co-Founder and President of SpectiCast. “The energy and excitement of this high-quality concert film is sure to draw music fans across the globe.”

From the moment The Rolling Stones stepped out onto the stage each night, through to the dazzling firework and pyrotechnic display that heralded the end of the concert, fans old and new were treated to non-stop, hit after hit performances, which took them through the Stones’ huge back catalogue.

Keith Richards wowed the crowds by weaving his charismatic guitar licks with Ronnie Wood’s immense solos. Mick Jagger was on spectacular form, and his boundless energy on stage matched by a number of stunning outfit changes, and Charlie Watts the unflappable heartbeat of the band, driving the band on through the set.

Mick Jagger said: “It was a great gig… It was beautiful with the sun going down over Hyde Park. I can’t think of a better way celebrate the Rolling Stones' 50 than doing it on our home patch in front of 100,000 people on a glorious summer night… enjoy it… we certainly did."

Keith Richards commented: “Coming back to Hyde Park was like a full circle being drawn, and the band were in top form. We thought what could be more appropriate than having a great summer in London!”

The Rolling Stones ‘Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live’ is the perfect way for concert-goers to relive their favourite memories from the gigs, and for all fans to see the band back where they truly belong: live on the stage in their hometown.

Meddling With Kathy Posner

Olympic Medal

I have as much interest in sports as I do in the process to make head cheese. (FYI- head cheese is not a cheese but a terrine made with flesh from the head of a calf, pig or sheep that is set in aspic. The parts of the head that are sued vary, but the brain, eyes, and ears are usually removed. The tongue, and sometimes even the feet and heart, may be included.) I know that head cheese exits, but I would rather not think about it. I know sports exist, but except for the importance of the exercise factor, I find competition boring and overrated. Especially The Olympics.

A big deal is made about the sacrifices that Olympic athletes make to represent our country in the quad annual games. I am more impressed when sacrifices are made by young people to get a good education because once an athletic hits their late 20’s their “career” is over. Exercising the brain is what I respect.

I learned recently that American Olympic medal winners get an honorarium for winning. The levels are: Gold─$25,000, Silver─$15,000, Bronze─$10,000. Both state and federal tax codes require that athletes add the honorariums to their regular income. Since the winner of cash for a Nobel prize has to pay taxes, why shouldn’t Olympic athletes?

Recently, U.S. Representatives Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) and G. K. Butterfield (NC-1), who serve respectively as Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, introduced legislation exempting U.S. Olympic medalists from paying income taxes on these honorariums.

Bono Mack and Butterfield issued a joint statement that said, “Taxing the Olympic medals of U.S. athletes is like Scrooge putting a tax on Christmas presents. It’s just wrong. Our athletes work and sacrifice for years to reach the pinnacle of their sports and to proudly represent the United States of America in the Olympic Games. Only the U.S. tax code can turn the ‘thrill of victory’ into the agony of victory. We strongly urge our colleagues in Congress to join us in this effort to salute our U.S. Olympians. When they’re standing on the podium, they should be savoring the moment – not calculating their taxes. This is just one small way to say thank you to our Olympic medalists for their efforts and achievements.”

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2011 was divided, one half jointly to Bruce A. Beutler and Jules A. Hoffmann "for their discoveries concerning the activation of innate immunity" and the other half to Ralph M. Steinman "for his discovery of the dendritic cell and its role in adaptive immunity". I don’t know what that means, but I guarantee that is a lot more important to humanity as a whole than whatever American won a swimming gold medal. These gentlemen had to pay taxes on their Nobel Prize, so athletes should pay taxes on their medals.

The Illinois Department of Revenue has said that they will follow the federal government’s lead on whether or not to tax Olympians.

Under legislation filed last week by Illinois House Minority Leader Tom Cross (HB 6208), Olympic medal winners who pay taxes in Illinois would be allowed to deduct any money they receive for winning a gold, silver or bronz. .Cross spokeswoman Sara Wocjicki Jimenez said, “The Olympians do the country a great service when they perform well and the world is able to see what our American athletes are capable of and in return we tax them for it.”

House Bill 6208-Synopsis As Introduced

Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Creates a deduction in amount equal to any amount received by the taxpayer during the taxable year as an honorarium associated with competing in the Olympic or Paralympic Games. Effective immediately.

Talk about special interest legislation! When education costs become tax deductible, then maybe it won’t bother me as much that athletes are treated as heroes when they have done nothing more than swim or run faster than someone else. They have discovered nothing new that will affect the world; athletes are basically meaningless to the continuation of life on the planet.

EDITORS NOTE: I agree with Olympian Kathy Posner.  The Olympics hold no interest to me, and it seems more important to these elected Congressional nuts to vote on a gold medal tax, than to figure out how to fix this country. It also figures that she is a Republican. Since she won't vote on anything to help the country, I guess the Olympians make her look like she is doing something important. It looks like she wants a medal for not doing her job, and not be taxed on it!

The Automat

Charismatic restaurateur and architect Carlos Almada arrived in London five years ago with a vision to create a venue with New York style for international trendsetters. “It’s all about New Yorkers” he says. Since then Almada has successfully built one of Mayfair’s hottest eateries, Automat- where London bound celebrities head for refined yet relaxed dining at the stylish brasserie. Automat serves delicious fare including classics such as Steak Tartare, Mac & Cheese, and the best imported Nebraska USDA grade beef, among many others. Having whetted London’s pleasure seeking appetite with the chic Automat, Carlos has now introduced a sexy new venue. Britney Spears is reportedly set to flee to Britain in a bid to win custody of her two children. The 'Toxic' singer - who is currently battling ex-husband Kevin Federline to be the primary carer of 23-month-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 11 months - wants to move to London and begin a new life with the boys. However, Britney knows she won't be able to take them out of the country without Kevin's permission so she is planning a dramatic TV disappearing act.The troubled star wants to vanish in a spectacular stunt at the end of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas and re-appear in London. She hopes the Houdini-style act will confuse everyone, including Kevin, and give her the time she needs to fly to the UK.The trick, which is due to happen next month, has been arranged by Britney's reported new love interest, magician Criss Angel, and the pair spent two nights last week perfecting the move. A source told America's OK! magazine: "She thinks her only hope is to move to London and start afresh. She wants those boys more than anything in the world and it's heart-breaking."Despite her attempts to keep Sean and Jayden, Kevin will still be able to claim the children from the UK due to the Hague Convention, which allows parents to seek the return of, or access to, their child.US divorce lawyer Raoul Felder said: "You can run, but you can't hide. If you go to most foreign countries you come under the Hague Convention."There would be a hearing in London and hey would award the father the children."Britney and Kevin's divorce was finalised last month and they were awarded joint custody of the boys. However, Kevin is now seeking full custody saying Britney - who recently spent time in rehab for alcoholism and alleged post-natal depression - is unfit to care for the children.

Michael Jackson still demands weird things !

Michael Jackson has demanded a children's xylophone and sweets during his stay at a British hotel. The eccentric singer told staff at London's Jumeria Carlton Tower Hotel to bring the items to his room as soon as he checked in. Michael, who has undergone several cosmetic surgery procedures, also demanded a giant mirror. A hotel insider said: "He wanted lots of bowls filled with Haribo sweets and also asked for a toy xylophone. He also asked for a 6ft by 6ft giant mirror."Michael - who jetted into London with his three children, son Prince Michael, daughter Paris and youngest son Prince Michael II, last week - is famed for his outrageous hotel demands. Last year, he had an 18ft wall built at London's Hempel Hotel so he, his children and his entourage could have more privacy, and it is not unusual for the star to hire entire floors. Rumors are rife that Michael is in London to sell his rights to his catalogue of Beatles songs. The 'Billie Jean' singer - who infuriated Sir Paul McCartney when he outbid him for the rights to the group's music 22 years ago - is being forced to sell the catalogue after running up huge debts, believed to total 400 million. In 1995, he was forced to sell part ownership of the catalogue, valued at almost 2 Billion, to his former record company Sony. He then used his remaining share as security for further loans. The deal with Sony stipulated that if he was unable to pay the loans back he would have be required to sell the remainder of the catalogue by May 31, 2008.
