The Internet is buzzing today about the 'A STAR IS BORN' trailer. The film stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. In cinemas October. Lady Gaga is so talented, I would watch any movie she was in.

Lady Gaga Coachella Intro

E! NEWS -- Lady Gaga certainly did not disappoint at Coachella.

During her headlining set at the 2017 music festival Saturday, the singer debuted a new song, "The Cure," which was then released to Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services.

Her set featured an elaborate, theatrical stage production, made up of giant cameras and spotlights, and took more than hour to build. In addition to her new single, Gaga also performed a slew of her past tracks, including "Yoü And I," "Alejandro," "Telephone," a downtempo version of "Edge of Glory" and an uptempo version of "Million Reasons" from her 2016 album Joanne.

During her performance, audience members in the front rows yelled "I love you!" to Gaga, to which she responded, "I love you" in return and said that every time she hears someone in the crowd say that to her, she gets emotional and tears up.

Celebs spotted in the crowd watching Gaga's set included Katy Perry and Wiz Khalifa.

The singer was announced as a headlining performer to replace Beyoncé after she pulled out of the festival in February due to her pregnancy. The singer and husband Jay Z are expecting twins.

Other headliners of the two-weekend Coachella festival include Radiohead, Bon Iver and Future, who introduced surprise guest performer Drake Saturday.

Lady Gaga

ROSELAND GUTTED --- NYC 's Gothamist ran a photo earlier this week of NY’s beloved Roseland Ballroom , which opened in 1919, in the process of being demolished to make way for a brand new shiny condominium, which the city needs as badly as a DeBlasio second term.

The venue shuttered last April with a series of shows by Lady Gaga, which brought its almost century-long run to an end.

Initially, Roseland was located at 51st Street and Broadway when it opened. During that period, the 3,200-capacity room was a hot spot for jazz and big-band music. The likes of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra headlined there multiple times, and ballroom dancing was also a big draw.

Roseland moved to its current 52nd Street location in 1956 and, at first, maintained its reputation for ballroom dancing — as well as being used for ice-skating and operating as a roller rink. But in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, the venue caught up with the times and started to host disco club nights and shows by modern rock, pop, dance and hip-hop acts (everyone from Red Hot Chili Peppers to the Rolling Stones, Kid Creole & The Coconuts and Lorde).

Billboard magazine back in the day ran many of their Disco Forums there and my memories are just filled with terrific times there. The downstairs featured just an amazing labyrinth of endless hallways and everything seemed to be in red.

I must admit that when there was an event or party there, the club looked simply dazzling. I was sorry to see it go in April and looking at this photo just made me feel even worse. Terribly sad.

Meg Myers

MYERS RETURNS --- Corner-favorite Meg Myers premiered the first single “Sorry” from her debut full-length album yesterday.

“Sorry” is the L. A.-based singer/songwriter’s first release since her Make A Shadow EP which featured the lead single “Desire.”

Her debut full-length Sorry will be released this summer on Atlantic Records.

Meg - whose music has been compared to Fiona Apple, NIN, PJ Harvey, Alanis Morissette - spent 2014 on tour with Broods and Royal Blood, and opening for The Pixies at their N. Y. and L. A. shows.

She gained attention with undeniable performances at SXSW, Lollapalooza and Governors Ball. The last single “Desire” spent months last fall in the top 20 at alternative radio and the hauntingly sexual video turned heads: See it here....

DYLAN AND DAVI --- Bob Dylan's album Shadows in the Night has been a surprise hit around the world. A collection of standards from the 30's through the 50's, the album has topped the charts in England and a number of Scandinavian countries.

On Monday, Dylan released a video for the 1941 song “The Night We Called It a Day,” featuring actor Robert Davi.

Written by Matt Dennis and Tony Adair, the song has been recorded by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, June Christy and Diana Krall.

CLOSING NOTES --- Have you seen this new Audi commercial featuring both Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto? It’s almost as good as that Volkswagen one with the Darth Vader kid. Two Spocks smack-talking each other… what could be better? Missing Nimoy even more. Watch it here

From The Record Man: “Before there was a music business there was Henry Stone who shaped and catapulted the sound of 1970’s Miami into the mainstream with his unique hit-breaking label TK Records. Stone started out in the music distribution business which led him to establish his own independent music label which he ran from a warehouse in Hialeah. TK Record’s first big international hit was George McCrae’s ‘Rock Your Baby’ in 1974, one of the songs credited to starting the disco revolution. The hits kept coming and by the end of the 1970’s the label had several #1 songs in the Billboard Top 100 chart like ‘Get Down Tonight’ and ‘That’s The Way (I Like It)’ by KC and the Sunshine Band and Anita Ward’s ‘Ring My Bell.’ Not long after the disco era was over TK Records went bankrupt, but Stone still had one last piece to add to the Miami music sound puzzle when he helped release what would become the first million seller freestyle hit record Fascinated by Company B.” I knew Stone and he was an old-time gunslinger, who used his tried-and-true methods of record promotion and luck … and, succeeded. Directed by Mark Moormann who also did the Grammy-nominated Tom Dowd & the Language of Music, is a first-class operator. This should be a good one. Watch the trailer here

Story By: G.H. Harding

Joan Rivers

JOAN GOODBYE --- While it's unclear if Joan Rivers' funeral had a wind machine or Harry Winston toe tag, per the instructions left in her 2012 book, the real-life event, held Sunday morning at Manhattan's Temple Emanu-El, was a star-studded affair with all of the security and paparazzi and fan attention of a premiere or red-carpet event.

Huge crowds of fans, photographers, videographers and members of the media lined Fifth Avenue and 65th Street hoping to catch a glimpse of the action outside of the private, invitation-only ceremony.

Among the attendees spotted arriving and leaving the funeral was Whoopi Goldberg, who was wearing two different-colored shoes and received big cheers and rounds of applause from the crowd of onlookers on Fifth Avenue, both on her way in and out of the service, while Bravo's Andy Cohen elicited a similar response from fans, including a bit of jumping up and down, as he left the funeral early Sunday afternoon.

Other guests included Sarah Jessica Parker, Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, Joy Behar, Paul Shaffer, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Sue Simmons, Giuliana Rancic, Bernadette Peters, Clive Davis, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Michael Musto, and Kyle MacLachlan and his wife, Desiree Gruber.

The ceremony itself was filled with laughter and tears, according to various reports from outlets who had access to the proceedings.

White gardenias lined the front of the synagogue, the New York Times reported.

According to the Associated Press, Howard Stern delivered the eulogy; the New York City Gay Men's Chorus sang “What a Wonderful World,” "There Is Nothing Like a Dame" and "Hey Big Spender," according to reports, before Broadway star Audra McDonald sang "Smile"; and tributes and remembrances were delivered by Deborah Norville, Rivers' close friend Margie Stern, New York Post columnist Cindy Adams and Rivers' daughter, Melissa, who spoke about how she respected her mother and appreciated everyone's support. Hugh Jackman also performed, according to the AP, singing "Quiet Please, There's a Lady on Stage," at the end of the ceremony, which lasted a little more than an hour.

Stern's speech not only praised Rivers but managed to elicit laughter from her friends and family gathered inside the ceremony, People reported. He called Rivers, "the best friend in the world ... a big sister ... a crazy aunt at a bar mitzvah.”

"She fought the stereotype that women couldn't be funny," Stern added. "She was responsible for putting the red carpet into primetime."

The program even included the excerpt from I Hate Everyone … Starting With Me in which Rivers described the star-studded send-off she wanted as well as a page with three of Rivers' classic lines: "Can we talk?" ''Who are you wearing?" and "Because I'm a funny person."

Other guests in attendance included fashion designer Dennis Basso, Kathy Griffin, Rosie O'Donnell, Kelly Osbourne, Matthew Broderick, Alan Cumming, Tommy Tune, Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Geraldo Rivera, Sandy Gallin, Barry Diller, Donald Trump and Steve Forbes.

At the end of the service, bagpipers from the NYPD led the procession out of the temple, playing "New York, New York" as fans applauded.

Over the weekend, comedian Chris Rock, in Toronto, said, “People liked Carson … they loved Rivers.”

THE VIEW LOCKED AND LOADED --- The search is over. Final details are still being worked out but actress Rosie Perez and political commentator Nicolle Wallace will occupy the remaining seats on The View when the ABC daytime talk show returns for a new season, next Monday September 15. They would join Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg. Perez and Wallace would succeed co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy, who exited the show.

Wallace, who served as communications director for George W. Bush, was among the women who did a screen test for The View last month, emerging as one of the front runners. She also did three guest co-hosting stints this year. Perez has been largely under the radar during the search but she is a household name and served as a guest co-host on the talk show.

With the new hires, the new View hosting team would include three actresses: O’Donnell, Goldberg and Perez. I hear Perez’s schedule has been worked out in a way so she can juggle her duties on The View with a Broadway gig — she just signed on to co-star opposite Larry David in David’s play Fish In The Dark, produced by Broadway's Scott Rudin.

The cast overhaul is part of a top-to-bottom makeover at The View, which includes a new studio, new set, new logo and new behind-the-scenes team led by new executive producer Bill Wollf; who abruptly replaced Bill Geddie.

“These are powerful and accomplished women from different walks of life who have had amazing personal and professional experiences. Each brings incredible perspective and information to the table,” said Bill Wolff. “This mix of smart, vibrant and energetic women is unlike anything else on daytime television.” Except for maybe The Talk on CBS?

“I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I’ve been asked to join ‘The View’,” said Perez. “Knowing that I’ll be in the company of Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable. The opportunity to connect with our nation’s audience on a daily basis… icing on the cake! Very happy.”

“I am honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of ‘The View’ for the better part of two decades,” said Wallace. “I have watched ‘The View’ for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting.”

Did you feel George W. Bush was a great communicator? Well, then you'll probably love Wallace. Perez? An odd choice for sure. I think the powers that be (still Walters, although she did sell her majority stock in the show to ABC) felt this was a too-good-to-lose panel?

Me? I think this show's on life support and will be lucky to make it through this season. Stay tuned!

SIGHTINGS --- Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen and Billie Jean King at the US Open this weekend; PR-pasha David Salidor at Palm West in NYC; and, Jersey Boys’ Donnie Kehr at Times Square Studios on 42nd street.

Adam Lambert

CLOSING NOTES --- Lady Gaga joined Queen and Adam Lambert, who just wrapped their world tour, during their concert in Sydney, Australia on August 27 …

Dressed in a huge afro wig and a black jumpsuit with crowns on it, Gaga joined Lambert and the band for “Another One Bites the Dust” (not “Radio Ga-Ga,” the song that inspired her name). After the show, Queen’s guitarist Brian May tweeted a selfie with Gaga, while Gaga Instagrammed a photo of herself with the entire band …

First, ZZ Top’s co-headlining tour with Jeff Beck had to be postponed while the former Yarbird’s guitarist dealt with an undisclosed medical problem.

Now, the remaining four dates of the tour have been canceled because bass player Dusty Hill fell hard on his hip and is undergoing medical treatment, reports Britain's NME …

It was reported in Mojo magazine that British Invasion legends The Kinks would reunite next year (the band’s 52nd), but without lead guitarist Dave Davies, brother of singer/songwriter and band leader Ray Davies. The pair’s feuds over the decades are notorious.

“Dave’s invited to the party, but if he doesn't want to do it, (the reunion) will happen anyway,” Ray Davies reportedly said. “He’s very welcome to turn up if he wants. I'd much rather work with him than without him.”

Ray Davies added that founding drummer Mick Avory is on board, however, the band is disputing all of it on their official Facebook page.

In a post reading: “MOJO is wrong. There will be NO Kinks reunion without BOTH Ray and Dave Davies. Ray claims to never have said this.” …

At age 77, Merle Haggard says he’s not ready for retirement.

“I’ve just been off (the road) for six weeks and I was about bored to death,” he told the North Carolina News & Observer.

He sprung a little surprise, too. Haggard apparently has enough songs recorded to fill four albums and is in the process of release them all.

Of today’s country music, the veteran Country Outlaw said: “Once in a while, I'll scan it, and I don't understand what they're doing. I can't find the entertainment in it.”

But so as not to offend anyone, he added, “I know these guys, occasionally play shows with them, and they're all good people.” …

Plenty of feedback from last week’s assessment of several so-called record industry publicists (guess we touched a nerve!). We stand behind it and this week, want to nominate several this week, who are just plain excellent. First, Randex Communications’ CEO Randy Alexander and UMG’s Jennifer Ballantyne. Two of the best … ever! Let the battle begin ... all true, don't sue!

Lady Gaga

Gaga at Roseland --- Somehow it’s fitting that Artpop-babe Lady Gaga will play the final performances at NYC’s Roseland: When the famed Ballroom shuts its doors this April, it will certainly go out in style. Gaga will close out the venue with a string of four concerts -- on March 28, 30, 31 and April 2 -- it was announced last week.

The 3,500-seat theater is a big undersell for Gaga, as fans will get to see the New York native in much smaller confines than normal. Members of the her fan community will have the first crack at presale tickets; randomly selected members will receive invitations and codes to purchase tickets this Thursday. Again, what a tragedy for this fabled venue; but, at least it will exit with a scream, rather than a whimper.

Jared Leto

Matthew McConaughey
McCONAUGHEY’s CLUB --- We finally caught the much-heralded Dallas Buyer’s Club this weekend, with just standout performances from Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner. This is the true story of Ron Woodroof, a hard-living player, who develops AIDS, ironically in 1985 around the time the Rock Hudson-affair unfolded. At first denying a doctor’s diagnosis, he continues his hard partying ways, while assiduously reading and collecting date on the disease. Little by little, he develops his own self-medicating plan, while traveling to such places as Mexico and Japan in his quest to procure certain drugs. he then proceeds to sell them to potential buyers. McConaughey, is absolutely riveting: this is the role he lost 40 pounds to play, but Jared Leto, as a fellow patient at first, then his partner, is just dazzling. The story, which is true, you realize cannot have happy ending, but, his journey is one you just have to totally empathize with. My only criticism, if you can even call it that, is that it proceeds along at a snail’s pace. That said, it’s a movie you cannot take your eyes away from. Jennifer Garner as a doctor, who finally comes to believe and support in what Woodroof is doing, is splendid, as is Steve Zahn. The direction, from Canadian-Jean-Marc Vallée is totally serviceable, and the script, by Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack is painstakingly on track. McConaughey is on a fast track so far this year; his Mud which we caught earlier this year was just terrific and his take in the forthcoming Marty Scorsese movie, The Wolf Of Wall Street, apparently steals the movie. A great actor for sure.

 Aidan Quinn

Quinn’s The Man on Elementary --- You've seen him for years on the big screen, and in one notable TV-movie based on the friendship of John Lennon and Paul McCartney (2000's Two Of Us; he played Macca and believe it or not, they became fast friends), but now’s he the anchor on perhaps the best TV show on right now, CBS’ Elementary; alongside Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu. The latter two portray Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in the modern-day take on the fabled tale. The show, now in its second season, is just stellar, but Aidan Quinn, as Captain Tommy Gregson, is just exceptional. In the episode last Thursday (“On The Line”) Gregson delivers an impassioned speech to his minions in his squad room, as someone has said to him that many there, don't like his methods. After thanking everyone for their efforts, he says that if anyone has a problem … there’s the door. Just sensational. Born in Chicago, he’s been in many terrific movies, among them: 1994’s Legends of the Fall; 1989’s The Lemon Sisters; and, 1994’s terrific Blink. Just a terrifically engaging actor … sensational.

CLOSING NOTES -- The Rascals, Once Upon A Dream, re-turns to Broadway on December 16. Somehow the gremlins got involved in our last missive. We regret the error ... Friday's Howard Stern appearance on David Letterman was a classic for sure; with the pair arguing over one Brad Grey, the president of Paramount Pictures. Letterman called him a show business weasel, while Stern countered, that Grey, who produced his Private Parts movies years back, was a sweet guy. As usual .. the truth lies somewhere in the middle ... We didn't watch last night's AMA's in full; but, Miley Cyrus singing "Wrecking Ball" alongside a lip-syncing giant cat was wild for sure. And, didn't the stage where the performers accepted their awards, look like some sort of lounge from Las Vegas? Dick Clark must be rolling over in his grave. Strange for sure ...We'll have a more detailed look next time, but the soundtrack album for the new movie from The Coen Bothers, Inside Llewyn Davis, is just a standout. Produced by this year's hot-producer T. Bone Burnett; we couldn't stop listening to it. We haven't seen the movie yet, but if it's as good as the music, we're in.

Lady Gaga On Elvis Duran

Lady Gaga sat down with Elvis Duran and The Z100 Morning Show to talk about the release of her new album ARTPOP(out today), being the first performer to sing in space, and her emotional struggles with drugs and depression in the past. Elvis was able to dig into "Gaga's basement," during his 45 minute exclusive with the POP SuperStar. Elvis, as usual, created a comfortable atmosphere in which Gaga felt safe enough to discuss these difficult topics.

“I just want young kids to know that you actually can become addicted to it [marijuana]… I have been addicted to it and its ultimately related to anxiety coping and it’s a form of self medication and I was smoking up to 15-20 marijuana cigarettes a day with no tobacco. I was living on a totally other psychedelic plain, numbing myself completely and looking back I do see now that some of it had to do with my hip pain. I didn’t know where the pain was coming from so I was just in a lot of pain and really depressed all the time and not really sure why.”

“It’s a battle, every day. I don’t want to lie about it because there is no reason to lie. But, the truth is that it is very hard to be famous. It’s wonderful to be famous because I have amazing fans. But it is very, very hard to go out into the world when you are not feeling happy and act like you are because I am a human being too and I break and I think there is an assumption, not just by the corporate world, or by humanity that I cannot break because I am alien woman and I am unstoppable. The truth is that I can break, and I did. I was not very good at breaking. I lost everything that I love. I was in a wheelchair for six months. I did a lot of drugs and took a lot of pills. I let it all kind of go because I didn’t know if I was going to live for the next year or two. When your schedule gets that out of control and you’re not able to feel the ground anymore you lose a sense of your own soul.”

“I had to stop. I was addicted to it [marijuana]... I’ve been addicted to various things since I was young. Most heavily over the past seven years. A friend gave me this term I lily pad from substance to substance because I get to a point where I can’t go any further with one substance so I move to another.”

“You can fight. I do put that pressure on myself; I have to be high to be creative. I need that, that’s an error in my life that happened for over 10 years. Can I be brilliant without it? I know that I can be and I have to be because I want to live, and I want my fans to want to live. I don’t want them to torture themselves in the way I have. I want to show people that I will last past 27 and I will last longer, and so will you. I want to change this code in the atmosphere that in order to be remembered I must die young. In order to be remembered as a legend I must be dead first. This is unhealthy. The way that we [celebrities] are treated by the media, this is unhealthy. Not just me, I am just one of many people that are treated poorly by the media.”

“Look I think my Achilles heel in this business has always been from the beginning, like, oh is she a rich girl from New York? Did she go to a private school? But actually I did go to a privileged school, I did go to a private school, I did have a great education. My parents were not rich, they sent me to a great school with all the money that they had…I am smart. I will no longer allow this thing that was my Achilles heel to remain there.”

“There’s this incredible pressure on female artists that we have to reinvent ourselves between each record. Michael Jackson didn’t reinvent himself with each album, or Elton John or Whitney Houston. These are some of my favorite artists in history. What I was thinking about was I don’t want to throw my wigs away, I don’t want to throw my outfits away, I want to celebrate them because these are the inventions that got me to where I am. I want my fans to know that you really just need one good idea. I feel like this pressure that the public puts on you to have several good ideas over and over again until you die; this is actually not reality.”

“ARTPOP is definitely a time that we are really excited to be putting art into the front and that corporations will no longer drive me or my work and that the House of Gaga- this is our foray into the art and technology world. The artRave was the beginning of that.”

“I’m usually already on to the next album when the album comes out. I’m really very fascinated with this transformation inside of me that I am feeling very happy and confident in the work that I have created. I really love this album. I mostly love this album because it helped me lose 30 pounds in the gym!”

"This album is about joy, coming into my own, and also really deciding for myself as an artist that I don’t need to change my image with every single album. This was something I was really fascinated with iconography and how we see the artist.”

“This is why ARTPOP is so important to me. I want the world to know that the real intelligence is in the heart and the mind of the artist and not the corporation.”

“When you have road bumps in your career everybody starts to shake and everybody starts to get nervous… The reality is that there was never any formula and I am not a marketing plan and I never have been. ARTPOP has no marketing plan… This was something that was generated by this young collective group called the House of Gaga, which has been our debut on Sunday at the artRave… What I’m trying to say I guess is that I may be talented at music, but my greatest talent is seeing potential in others.”

“I think the truth is that since the beginning of my career, although I am a pop star now, I was not generated by a factory, I was not generated by a corporation, and there was no team other than the team that I put together that helped me make my artistic dreams come true.”

“If our minds go, there is nothing else. Somebody gives me a canvas at the beginning of every album cycle and its blank. I am left with a paintbrush and I sit by myself. That is the thing I want people to know and recognize not just about me, but about themselves… There is a canvas, a paintbrush, and an artist and then the ideas start to come. That is what ARTPOP is. What I want my fans to know is that you will not be defined by the people that hire you. You will not be defined by the corporate world around you. You will be defined the ideas that are in your own heart and in your own mind. It is just you, and that brush, and that canvas. You will work hard enough that one day you will sign only your name at the bottom of that blank page.

“It’s going to happen in 2015… This event where I didn’t have to pay for my seat, and it was offered to me by Zero G Colony and Virgin Galactic to be the first to technically to sing from space. Who knows if someone will build a rocket before then, I don’t know! It was more important to me that I am the first to sing from a Virgin Galactic space craft.”

“I’ll explain this to you - it’s not so easy to sing from space. Even if you are flying to space on one of these commercial flights this is not congruent with the actual event and what will be done. This is an entire event and festival that’s being created to take music to the beyond and have me, the artist, singing from this space craft and that will be live streamed back to earth while there is a concert going on Ground Zero.”

Nile Rodgers

David Bowie
GET LUCKY-DAFT PUNK --- All the pundits and cognoscenti have unanimously agreed that Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” is the song of the summer; but, running a very, very close close second is an amazing record called “Get Lucky,” by the European-aggregation Daft Punk. They’ve been hovering around for years and have enjoyed some much deserved international success, but the reason that this record has become big news stateside, is the unmistakable guitar in the background – that belongs to one Nile Rodgers. Yes, that Nile Rodgers from Chic (“Good Times”), Sister Sledge (“We Are Family”), David Bowie (“Let’s Dance”), and Madonna (“Like A Virgin). I’ve known Nile for years and was always in constant awe of his taste-setting style. That Chic-Greatest Hits CD I still listen to almost weekly and who could forget what his did with Sister Sledge. I mean, they still play those records in the clubs today. This new track grows on you literally in seconds.

Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo consisting of musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. They reached their biggest success in the late 1990's house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. The duo is credited with producing songs that are considered essential in the French house scene.

What I’m curious about is how this collaboration came together; Rodgers has stated the when the duo played him their demo of the song; he asked them to remove ... almost everything; then he came up with the simply infectious rhythm guitar track that carries the whole tune.

However it happened – it’s kismet for us. Simply said: It’s a major, major hit. One more for the Rodgers-cannon.

The Concealers

KAUFMAN’s CONCEALERS --- The gremlins were out-and-about in Monday’s column, as we gave the wrong title to James J. Kaufman’s new book. Let the record show that it is called The Concealers; the second in his trilogy. His previous one, The Collectibles was an Amazon bestseller.

The former judge and business executive is building a platform on relationships and trust. Says James, “Trust is a simple word, but as a core value, it seems to be fading … and, I’d like to change that.” With names like Weiner, Spitzer, and Filner in the news almost daily … he seems to be correct.

He’s also the CEO of Imaging the World; a non-profit organization active in Uganda and Southern Africa that is saving lives. Check them out HERE

ELMORE LEONARD --- We lost a giant today, writer Elmore Leonard, from a stroke. The author of countless bestsellers; many of them were transferred to the screen, including Get Shorty; Out Of Sight; and Jackie Brown (which he published as the novel Rum Punch). The current F/X series Justified is based on his stories.

26 of his novels have been made into movies; some twice like “3:10 to Yuma.” Mike Fleming in today’s Deadline Hollywood, said Leonard found Hollywood always frustrating, claiming they always re-wrote everything. The movies that were successful, were the ones where nothing was changed.

His movies made stars out of Dennis Farina and Jimmy Gandolfini; as well as giving great material for actors like John Travolta, George Clooney, and Robert DeNiro. A giant for sure.

Lady Gaga

N*SYNC RE-UNITED --- Be still my heart, at this Sunday's VMA's ... in addition to Lady Gaga and Robin Thicke ... N*sync will re-unite.

Elvis Duran And The Z100 Morning Show

Lady Gaga On Elvis Duran

With over 50 million singles sold Lady Gaga is one of the purveyors of modern pop. Sitting down with “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” this morning after taking a year-long break following a hip injury, she said that when she is not on stage she does not feel alive.

On Canceling Her Born This Way Ball

She cancelled the US portion of her Born this Way Ball last year, and felt that she was letting down her fans when she made the announcement. “It wasn't until I felt pain onstage that I really knew I couldn't go on anymore, because I never feel pain on stage," she said.

On The Passion Behind Creating The New Album ARTPOP

With her first new album in two years titled ARTPOP, Gaga revealed that she believes more in this album than anything in the past five years.

Her rise to fame has not always been easy. When asked about breaking into the music business, she disclosed the industry at the time was oversaturated by male dominance. “It made me hard and it made me kind of vacant and insecure, and that's when I started to put on all the wigs and put on all the outfits because it was through transformation, that I was able to free myself from those insecurities.”

GAGA Discusses Her Fame Roller Coaster

Later on she said that fame is like a roller coaster, “…You can't think and you can't breathe and you don't have time to sleep.” Her secret – “You just have to go with it.”

On Reinventing Herself and Making Her Fans Happy

With her new single “Applause” released last week, Gaga once again reinvents herself. The music video for the single debuted yesterday on Good Morning America and she revealed that she loves changing to make everyone happy. Instead of becoming one icon, her excitement comes from the fact that she can be every icon instead of just one.

The Excitement Around The November 11th Release of Her Album ARTPOP

ARTPOP is due to be released on November 11, 2013. On the day of the album release Gaga will be hosting an Art Rave in New York City. What should her fans expect from the Art Rave? "When you arrive at the Art Rave, it will be a huge warehouse full of rooms where you can view all this artwork that we created together and then you can watch me live,” she said. The rave will be centered around her music and art, two things Gaga hopes to focus most on with this album.

Lady Gaga

“Lady Gaga is gorgeous, innovative and beautiful in every way,” said Katrina Hodgson and Karena Dawn, both certified personal trainers and nutrition coaches of, a multi-platform health and fitness website. “She 100% rocks her curves and we love how she encourages her fans to embrace their individuality.” However if Lady Gaga feels unhealthy or run down while she’s on tour, Katrina and Karena offer the pop superstar the following tips to help her feel great:

• Ignore the haters! Lady Gaga’s message of loving who you are runs deep within her huge community of fans. We say, “Work what you've got! Ignore the negativity--whether you rock a shredded or curvy body--and focus on what makes you awesome.”

• Party responsibly! Remember that alcohol causes weight gain, messes with your hormones, and leads to late night binging. “If we were on tour with Lady Gaga (how fun would that be!), we'd suggest an occasional glass of champagne, wine or an organic beer,” said the Tone It Up duo.

• Mix things up! “Lady Gaga's stage routine is vigorous, but her body has already adapted to these movements,” said Katrina and Karena. “In order to mix things up, we recommend a 20 minute high-intensity interval training routine. It’s quick, challenging, and effective. These work outs will keep her energy up for the next show!”
