Tila Tequila

Controversial Tila Tequila is now backtracking on her recent announcement that she's pregnant with her brother's baby and is insisting she plans to become a surrogate mother for her sibling very soon. Tila stunned her twitter fans by recently revealing her engagement to billionaire heiress Casey Johnson and followed it up with the news she's expecting on behalf of her brother and his wife. On her page, she wrote, "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother & his Wife!!! "That is my xmas present to them. I'm pregnant!" But Tila has now admitted the strange announcement wasn't entirely accurate - because she's not pregnant as of yet. She tells Life & Style magazine, "I'm about to be (pregnant). When I tweeted that, I figured there's not enough space in the 140 characters. (I meant) I'm going to give him a Christmas present that's going to change his life." The weird star is also revealing she's looking forward to the pregnancy, even though she's giving the child up for her sibling. She adds, "I don't have time to take care of a real baby of my own -- not yet however -- I feel I am very ready to experience the whole pregnancy process but without having to actually have the baby as mine, my own to take care of." Tila also has a tweet on the site today saying she is with her 3 year old nephew who thinks she is his aunt. She said,"Good Morning! Im about to take my 3 yr old Nephew, Marco shopping today! Im gonna spoil him to death even tho he thinks In his cousin! lol."
Editors Extra: We are just speechless Tila, this sounds like a episode of Jerry Springer. Please call him asap, we have his direct line!

Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer, in LA to appear on the Dancing with the Stars Finale and to tape skits for Conan and Leno, found himself in an emergency today. His limo broke down and caught on fire in the middle of the freeway. Late for the taping of Leno, Springer solved the problem by hitching a ride in a friendly Toyota and made it to the taping on time. Thank goodness for friendly Springer fans willing to help out a stranded traveler.

In this weeks Steppin' Out magazine, Jerry Springer sits down with Chaunce Hayden and compares his prostitution scandal with Eliot Spitzer's, tells why Fox News and their hosts don't matter, why the news is worse than his TV show, why fame is all luck, trashes Sean Penn and tells why he won't be remembered.

The Steppin Out Magazine Cover

In fairness, my prostitution scandal and Spitzer's are light years in difference. Back then it wasn't considered such a horrible thing. It was just considered an hour with a woman I shouldn't have been with. It was clearly wrong. But it wasn't like my political career was based on going after these people and arresting them. Plus, I was the one that told about it. With me it was more of a joke. People would ask, “Why didn't you just resign? Why did you tell anyone?” But we're talking 40 years ago. I was 28 years old. Things were a lot different. So it's not like something I over came. Let's not build it out of proportion.

I think what this election showed is that people like O'Reilly, Hanity and Limbaugh have virtually no impact on our politics. None! And they had no impact before this election and I'll tell you why. They use an old medium. TV and radio is irrelevant to young people. Listen, if talk radio had any impact on our society, John McCain would not have been the candidate for the Republican Party. If those men had any impact on our society, you wouldn't have the impact of this election. The only people who listen to those shows are their own fans that love everything they say. They don't bring anybody new to the game. They're just entertainers. They have no impact on changing the political landscape. The people under 30 don't care what they say. They're more interested in texting, watching You Tube and their IPods. That's why Obama won the election. There's nobody under 30 listening to Sean Hanity. That person doesn't exist. People under 30 don't care about FOX Cable News.

I always get a sense that people are looking. I know if I go out people are going to want a picture or talk to me. That's part of the job. I just adjust to it when I go out. Listen, I look at it this way. The news hurts people. They show the negative side of people without their permission. But I've never done that. Everyone who goes on my show is volunteering. But when I did the news for ten years I never asked people if it was okay to put them on TV. I didn't ask if a story was going to hurt their reputation, career or family. You just ran the story. The news makes money for exploiting and hurting people. It's a choice the people who report the news make. But with show business it's more, “Okay, everyone, here is the stage. Come on and talk about your life if you want. It's your business.”
Proudest moment?

That was wrong, wrong, wrong. You don't do that. Its just vanity on Sean Penn's part. It's all for the wrong reason. The greatest charity is when the person who you're giving to, doesn't know you gave. You're supposed to be giving to help, not to get praise.

I'm just a basic shelob. I'm not this hunk or great looking guy. I'm just a regular guy. But there are a lot of regular guys out there who sometimes get lucky. No celebrity is successful because they earned it. They got lucky. It's a gift. Do you think the best actors who are famous are the best actors? Of course not? They got lucky. It's all luck. If Bill Gates had been born in Ethiopia who would have been dead by the age of five. It's all luck.

I don't want to be remembered. Nobody has a legacy. Nobody is remembered unless you were a President or Babe Ruth. Think about it? Nobody even remembers Jack Benny. Jack Benny! 20 years later, nobody is remembered.

Jerry Springer With Wright Kids

When Jerry Springer hosted last season's "America's Got Talent" he made a promise to The Wright Kids that he would come to hear them sing at Pops Ice Cream Shop in Roanoke. He kept that promise on Friday. The Wright Kids of Franklin County have a lot of fans and the biggest one is none other than Jerry Springer, the host of America's Got Talent. The Wright Kids were on America's Got Talent last summer. Springer liked them so much he promised to visit the group here at Pop's Ice Cream in Grandin Village. "I don't think I'm doing anything extraordinary," said Springer. "If you made a promise, you keep it."While the former politician, sometimes actor and tabloid talk-show host was at Pop's, he had a double chocolate malt. This was the best kept secret in town. Family and friends knew, but the kids had no idea. News 7 was there when Springer showed up. "When I saw the limo pull up, I thought it was like the authorities," said Levi Wright. Levi plays the bass and banjo. Springer spent several hours signing autographs, posing for pictures, and listening to the kids perform. They couldn't believe he kept his promise. "I thought maybe, maybe not," said Sage Wright, who often plays the mandolin, but also knows the fiddle and violin. "He has a busy schedule, but when he came back I was like 'oh my gosh.'"

Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer appeared at a summit with 7 other former mayors of Cincinnati. The newly created Xavier Institute for Politics and Public Life sponsored “The State of the City” forum. Returning to Cincinnati had a lot of personal significance for Springer. Mike Ford, the Founding Director of the Institute, is Springer’s former Chief of Staff and (perennial) Campaign Manager. "Mike is truly the best person to lead the Institute" said Springer after he heard Mike introduce the Institute as the place for students to learn why to do politics, not simply how to do politics. "I have had the benefit of Mike's talents for the past 30 years" said Springer. "Now he gets to share that knowledge with our next generation of leaders."The local coverage (linked below) focused on the link between economic progress and social tolerance. Thought you'd like to see Jerry's social conscience in action.

Wednesday April 22nd, 10 PM
Producer/Director: Robert H. Lieberman
Associate Producer/Editor: Richard Breyer
Executive Producer: Bill Gottdenker.

Jerry Springer

LAST STOP KEW GARDENS traces the story of first generation American children raised by German and Austrian survivors of the Holocaust in Queens, New York. In the documentary film, Cornell University professor, novelist and filmmaker Robert H. Lieberman returns to his hometown to discover what happened to the children he grew up with in the German-speaking, refugee community of Kew Gardens in the 1940s and ’50s. Despite the enormous losses of their immigrant parents, Lieberman discovers that many of his peers prospered, including talk show host Jerry Springer, Emmy® award-winning producer/writer Joshua Brand, co-creator of TV series “St. Elsewhere” and “Northern Exposure,” Rona Elliot of NBC’s “Today,” and comedian Robert Schimmel. On Wednesday, April 22 at 10 p.m., WLIW21 New York Public Television presents the exclusive broadcast premiere of LAST STOP KEW GARDENS as part of special programming in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Beginning in 1938 a wave of Jewish refugees fleeing from Hitler’s reign across central Europe arrived on the shores of New York City. Having lost the only culture they had known to the Nazis, these people suddenly had to reinvent themselves in a strange, new environment. Many chose to settle in the small Queens village of Kew Gardens, where German was spoken on the streets and shops catered to their tastes. LAST STOP KEW GARDENS explores how the children of these up-rooted immigrants became Americanized and went on to become prominent citizens who have enriched all aspects of our culture. Lieberman’s journey conveys the experience of being raised by survivor parents, capturing how each person’s life was profoundly affected by their parents’ background, and how each overcame the burdens of the past to succeed. The making of LAST STOP KEW GARDENS was triggered by an article Lieberman wrote reminiscing about his childhood in Queens, which resulted in an overwhelming response of emails and phone calls from around the world. It was then that Lieberman initiated a reunion at PS 99, the elementary school he and his cohorts attended—and which, as a film producer, he couldn’t resist filming. This, in turn, started a quest that took him from London to California to Washington and points beyond to interview these “children” who were now spread across the globe. Jerry Springer With James Edstrom And Steve Wilkos

I have very mixed feelings from a e-mail I received yesterday from friends at The Jerry Springer Show and The Hit Steve Wilkos Show. I am being told that it's almost a done deal. I am being told that both shows will be moving to Stamford Connecticut. My sources said NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, the company's syndicated television arm, plans to relocate "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show" from Chicago to a new facility in Connecticut this summer in time for the start of the 2009 television season. Maury Povich's syndicated NBC Universal program "Maury" also would move there from New York City. Springer's show has originated from NBC Universal's NBC Tower in Chicago since 1992, after making its debut a year earlier in Cincinnati Ohio. Connecticut is luring the shows by offering a 30 percent production tax credit, as well as a 20 percent tax credit on infrastructure costs after the first $1 million spent. Sources said NBC Universal's attempts to negotiate more favorable incentives from Illinois were unsuccessful. Springer is heading into his 19th year in production and Wilkos into his third.

The reason we have mixed feelings are because of the wonderful people in Chicago that make both shows, who I have worked with many times over the years. The director's, the cameramen, the stage managers, the makeup artists, the security, the producers, and many other talented people. Most of all, the shows publicist Linda Shafran. This woman is one of the most talented publicist's I have ever worked with. I have worked with every big publicist in the world, and none of them can match the talent of Linda. She thinks out of the corporate box. She comes up with the best ideas. If she knew she would get good publicity for her shows, she would have a fist fight in the NBC Towers parking lot with Naomi Campbell. Linda's cell phone is bigger. I have watched Linda work over the years. She in in the office in the morning, on the set all afternoon, taking notes, taking photos and then staying up half the night sending everything out to the media. When I am in Chicago, and sitting in her office working along side her, she will sometimes stay till midnight working and working. All at the same time, she is caring about everyone who works on the shows and making sure that everyone has what they need and everyone is happy. A woman like this can not be replaced.

No one knows who will be invited to move to Connecticut with the shows. In one way we are happy that Jerry and Steve will be closer to us in New York City. They are fantastic stars to work with. We wil be able to do more work with them. On the other hand, I hate to see so many talented people who have made both shows successful, lose their jobs. I do not think that NBC can find such talent around Stamford Connecticut or even in New York City. So we would hope that NBC brings as many people along with the move as they can. Right now, no one knows if they will get a offer to move. I think one of the key ingredients in both shows were the people of Chicago. The love and the friendship we have developed over the years with the staff of both shows, will be with us forever !

Immortalized Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer In Planet Hollywood's Gift Shop

The father of all talk/reality-shows Jerry Springer, visited Manhattan today and stopped by would famous Planet Hollywood for the traditional hands-in-cement ceremony. More than 100 photographers and TV-media jammed the 3rd floor vista at the club. Springer, who also hosts America's Got Talent as well as the famed Jerry Springer Show, was in fine form and he chatted with the media-swarm about this week's election results and signed pictures for the lunch-time gatherers. Hard to believe, but his talk-show enters its 18th season. Springer, who served two-terms as Mayor of Cincinnati; the first one when he was a young-buck of 33. When talk tuned to Talent, Springer said, "Talent ... but, no taste ... and, I'm living proof. That's my favorite show. It really is the all-American show." The show was presided over by Times Square Gossips own James Edstrom who has been photographing Springer for almost 20 years and is the studio photographer for the hit show in Chicago. Jerry, who's passion is politics, also spoke ecstatically about the election results his pride and joy in Obama. Jerry thinks Obama will be a great president and was very excited to talk to the Television Show Extra about his career and the path of the country under our new president. Special thanks to Planet Hollywood's Andrea Roman and Ayana Brown who put a first class event together at their Times Square location. Thanks also go out to Claire O'Connor and PR Pasha David Salidor who worked endlessly to help us put our event together at the last minute.

Jerry Springer

We spoke to Jerry Springer the other day, and this icon wants a Emmy. The host of the Hit daytime television talk show, “The Jerry Springer Show” is going back to its roots for its 18th season and host Jerry Springer is on a mission heading into the new year and he wants to win his first-ever Daytime Emmy Award. With the new season kicking off Monday September 22, “The Jerry Springer Show” is returning to the days of wild stories, outrageous guests, conflicts and especially more of the man himself, Jerry Springer. Springer, who is the host of NBC’s smash hit “America’s Got Talent,” has seen enough puppets, jugglers and mimes on his prime time show, so this season “The Jerry Springer Show” is returning to old school “Springer.” And the veteran host believes the return to form should help achieve his biggest career goal, to finally win a Daytime Emmy or "at least get an invitation to sit in the audience and watch the ceremonies" says Springer “even way in the back is okay.”“ 18 Seasons and no Emmy, Susan Lucci has got nothing on me,” said Springer. This is our year and we are pulling out all the stops…Well at least we are campaigning at truck stop. Please help me by going to our show’s website or better yet, maybe you can join the TV Academy?” “The American television audience has fallen in love with Jerry all over again and this season we are giving the viewers what they want, more Jerry,” says Executive Producer Rachelle Consiglio. “And hopefully our efforts will help lead Jerry to that elusive first Daytime Emmy. He definitely deserves one. Ok, may not definitely.”Jerry is asking for fan support in his quest for an Emmy and will campaign across the USA this season in effort to get more consideration. Viewers can now log onto the television show’s website, click on “Why Jerry Deserves an Emmy” and give their support for the cause. Sure, Springer has hosted “The Jerry Springer Show” for 18 years, has a hit prime time show in “America’s Got Talent,” has finished in the top five on “Dancing with the Stars,” had an award-winning Opera named after him, has been the Mayor of a major USA city, has had his own radio show, has hosted international pageants…but something is still missing. Help Jerry in his quest for an Emmy…he has real self-esteem problems.

Jerry Springer

Television icon Jerry Springer loves Britain - because Winston Churchill defeated the Nazis and saved his parents from the Holocaust. The talk show star has taken part in U.K. TV channel BBC1’s Who Do You Think You Are? show, in which famous faces trace their family tree. And he tells program-makers he will always owe a debt of gratitude to World War II allied forces for liberating Germany. Springer says, "Britain saved my parents’ life. They were real Anglophiles. I’m an American, but I have a phenomenal love for this country. "I’m always looking for work here, not because I need a job, but because I’m looking for an excuse to come here. I’ll always be grateful - Churchill is a human god, and I wouldn’t be here talking to you if it wasn’t for him." Springer’s edition of Who Do You Think You Are? is due to be broadcast in Britain on Wednesday.
