CHRIS HEMSWORTH RECIEVES CHINA'S HUADING AWARD

Chris Hemsworth and Naomi Watts appeared on stage in Macau, China to accept top honors in person in front of a live audience at the 15th Annual Huading Awards. The Huading Awards are China’s premier awards show where the honorees are determined by fan votes, and the winners are recognized as the best from various genres of entertainment, including film, television, dance, theater and music.



Internationally renowned actor Chris Hemsworth took the stage in Macau to receive the Huading Award for Best Global Actor in Motion Pictures. Best known for his portrayal of Thor in the Marvel franchise, Hemsworth will reprise the role in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, slated for release in May 2015. This year, he also stars in Michael Mann’s Blackhat and in Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea.



Naomi Watts graced the Huading Awards stage to be recognized as Best Global Actress in Motion Pictures. The Oscar nominated actress has recently received widespread acclaim for her powerful portrayal in the film Birdman, and won over audiences with her recent role in St. Vincent starring alongside Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy. Watts’ upcoming films include While We’re Young with Ben Stiller, Demolition with Jake Gyllenhaal and Insurgent, the next installment of the successful Divergent franchise based on the popular best-selling novels, written by Veronica Roth. She has also filmed Gus Van Sant's Sea Of Trees starring opposite Matthew McConaughey, Three Generations with Susan Sarandon, and will shoot the psychological thriller Shut In early this year.

Michael Bolton and Cody Simpson arrived in Shanghai to accept awards for their global music achievements. The Huading Awards are China’s premier awards show where the honorees are determined by fan votes and recognized as the best from various genres of entertainment, including film, television, dance, theater, and music.



Michael Bolton accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award for his musical accomplishments. Bolton has achieved eight top 10 albums, two number one singles on the Billboard charts, as well as two Grammy awards for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance, six American Music Awards, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

HUADING FILM AWARDS IN HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA

The Huading Film Awards at the Ricardo Montalban Theater on Sunday in Hollywood, California brought out the stars. Lucy Liu along with Charlie Hunnam were all smiles for the roving cameras.


China’s #1 film awards show took place in Hollywood for the first time with leading talent accepting accolades based on the votes of 80 million fans. Orlando Bloom, Bradley Cooper, Halle Berry, Guillermo del Toro, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Renner, Charlie Hunnam and Hans Zimmer received key honors for their work at the Huading Film Awards at The Montalban Theater in Los Angeles. This historic event allowed American motion picture artists to directly acknowledge and express thanks to Chinese moviegoers who support their films. Industry legend Don Mischer produced the event.



EMMY nominated actress and current star of CBS’s Elementary, Lucy Liu, co-hosted the show alongside prominent Chinese television personality Olivia Xu.



British actor Orlando Bloom, who rose to fame during his breakthrough role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, took home the Global Actor Icon award. Bloom's film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is due out later this year. During his acceptance speech, Bloom recognized his Chinese fans stating, “I’d like to thank the people of China and my fans in China, for taking the time to watch my movies and vote for this award. I’m very humbled and grateful.”
