PAUL MCCARTNEY BEST ON HOWARD STERN SHOW

Image
**** THE GLORIOUS CORNER By: G.H. Harding **** Howard Stern MACCA ON STERN --- I’m a big Howard Stern fan … always have been. Even in the early days with a wispy mustache and aviator shades, he was the real deal. The two things that always impressed me the most, was #1: he came prepared, and #2: it was always a show. Sure, he gave the term shock jock a whole new meaning, but he was always funny; and on-point. Face it, he'd dared to ask the questions all the other talking heads wanted to … and, got away with it pretty much Scott free. It’s no surprise that he’s so good on TV; the surprise was, that it took so long. Stern hosted Paul McCartney last week in his Sirius compound and it was, without a doubt, one of the best interviews Howard’s ever done. His questions were thought provoking (he even asked about Jane and Peter Asher!), astute and very well prepared. He certainly didn't hide his admiration for Macca and his preparation was astounding. ...

ICON RICHARD SIMMONS REFUSES TO RETIRE

Image
**** 80s icon and fitness guru Richard Simmons sat down with the editors of MensHealth.com this month for a web-exclusive interview. Among other things, Simmons discussed how, at 63, he's still teaching classes, wearing Dolfin shorts (he has 400 pairs!), and taking endless crap from David Letterman and Howard Stern; he also shared his thoughts on shows like The Biggest Loser. ****  Richard Simmons Simmons on weight loss reality shows like The Biggest Loser: I'm not into any show that makes people compete when they lose weight. I think the show has some merit and they do some good. But voting off people every week because they didn’t lose enough weight, or giving somebody a car or money because they did lose weight? That's terrible…Who are you competing against? It's you. You need to be doing this for you and only you. Not to win a car, not to stay at a fancy resort, not to get a treadmill or an elliptical for your home. The real pride, th...

BATTLE OF PAT COOPER AND HOWARD STERN

**** THE WEB GOSSIP **** Bill Murray BILL MURRAY REMEMBERED – Wednesday was the one-year-to-day anniversary of the passing of Celebrity Bulletin’s Bill Murray; a true gentleman in every sense of the word. The entertainment industry collectively grieved last March when he suddenly passed. LARRY KING CALLS HOWARD STERN SMOCK

Image
**** In this weeks issue of Steppin' Out magazine, celebrity journalist Chaunce Hayden features a very intimate and candid chat he shared with CNN's Larry King about his future successor, the death of his father, being stupid and why the ladies love him. **** Larry King ON HIS REPLACEMENT NOT BEING HOWARD STERN: Chaunce Hayden: Would Howard Stern be a good replacement for you? Larry King: No and I wouldn't want to be compared to Howard Stern. I was much more like Arthur Godfrey. I was a humorist and a satirist. I made fun of commercials, I played records at the wrong speed but I always had taste, unlike (Howard) Stern who has no taste. There's nothing wrong with him being on the air with all those gimmicks but he's not tasteful at all. I had taste even with Lenny Bruce coming on my show once a week. Chaunce Hayden: Did Lenny Bruce have taste? Larry King: Lenny was brilliant. I mean Lenny's I.Q. was probably a hundred points higher then Howard Sterns. When Len...
