Hollywood star Michelle Williams is taking a year off from acting, so she can grieve over the loss of ex-fiance Heath Ledger and dedicate her time to their daughter Matilda.Williams took just a short break after Ledger died New York City in January from an accidental drug overdose. And she is admitting combining a busy work schedule with being a full-time mother has left her mentally exhausted. The 28-year-old tells the New York Times, "I'm going to take a year off. I think I stopped feeling creative a while ago, and I'm just realizing it now."I used to have all the time in the world to daydream and even just to dream and let your unconscious do some of the work for you. Now I'm up at five in the morning and I don't remember what I dreamed about."And she plans to use her time productively; spending time with Matilda, 3, and learning a new hobby: "I want to humble myself in front of a task life embroidery. I like how really physical work can free your mind."When Williams returns to work, she wants to star in a light-hearted project. She adds, "When I work again, maybe it should be a comedy. I've always had a tendency for darker, more life-life material. I think I had this sense that important things are heavier things. I don't know if that's true any more."

Heath Ledger

Nasty and weird Mary Kate Olsen has been subpoenaed to testify in front of a Grand Jury as investigators hope to end the mystery surrounding Heath Ledger's drug overdose death. Drug Enforcement Administration officials in New York City are calling on Olsen, Ledger's close friend, to fill in the blanks related to the six-month-long investigation, according to "Access Hollywood." The latest news comes a day after her lawyer claimed the actress has provided law officials with all the information she knows about Ledger's accidental drug overdose in January. The 22-year-old actress' testimony is sought after because the masseuse who found Ledger dead called Olsen before contacting the emergency services. Reports the other day suggested Olsen was refusing to co-operate with the federal probe until she was guaranteed immunity from prosecution. But her lawyer Michael C. Miller insisted, "We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."A timeline for Olsen's testimony has not been released.

Mary Kate Olsen

Weirdo Mary Kate Olsen knows nothing about the drugs which killed her friend Heath Ledger, her lawyer insists. Reports yesterday suggested officials behind a federal investigation into Ledger’s January death in New York City, from an accidental overdose were targeting Olsen but she was refusing to co-operate until she was guaranteed immunity from prosecution. Her name was dragged into the case because the masseuse who found Ledger dead called Olsen before contacting the emergency services, prompting suspicions. The 22-year-old actress’ lawyer Michael C. Miller now tells that Olsen has provided the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with all the information she has on her late pal. Miller says, "Regarding the Government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed." Miller also blasted reports that Olsen faces a Grand Jury subpoena if she refuses to co-operate, adding, "We don’t know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government’s inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."

Sexy Batman star Christian Bale is hitting out at calls for actor Heath Ledger's final film appearance to be canned, describing the idea as "bloody insane". Movie studio bosses have not yet confirmed whether a scene featuring Ledger’s The Joker character in a body bag will be cut from the new Batman film The Dark Knight. The scene was shot just weeks before the Hollywood actor was found dead at his New York City home in January. Bale is stating his case for keeping Ledger’s last scenes totally intact. He says, "I know there are a lot of people out there who don’t think this movie should be shown."But, if you’re asking my opinion, I think that’s bloody insane. I also think it’s an insult to Heath and everything he stood for."I don’t think anything should be cut. I think it’s the movie he wanted to make. Bale also believes Ledger’s final performance will act as a celebration of his life as an star, and is insisting it would be "rude" not to run with the integral scene. He adds, "The guy was brilliant. He was a fantastic actor and he put everything into this part. I absolutely know without question that he would have wanted everyone to see it."For me, this is a celebration of what he did best - entertain people…Respect the man. This is what he did. This is what he wanted to do."

Heath Ledger As The Joker

Dead Hollywood star Heath Ledger was urged to seek psychiatric help during the filming of new Batman movie, according to reports. If you tried to communicate with him normally instead of The Joker, he would just ignore you."He would often come to the set to hang out even on his days off, freaking everyone out. Towards the end of filming, he was warned by people that he had gone too far, but it was almost like he couldn't connect with those who cared for him anymore."

A crazy lawsuit against a photo agency and two paparazzi who allegedly filmed Heath Ledger in a hotel room where drugs were being taken, claims that the late actor was also using cocaine that night. The lawsuit, filed Friday in a Los Angeles California Court by a woman who was not named, alleges that two Splash News paparazzi lured Ledger up to her room at the Chateau Marmont Hotel on Jan. 29, 2006. It says they gave him cocaine and secretly filmed the actor, who also had some of his own cocaine. The woman is listed only as "Jane Doe" in the court papers for "fear of consequences and repercussions" of what would happen if the "public were made aware of her true identity," but labels her as a People magazine freelance reporter covering a Screen Actors Guild Awards after party at the famed West Hollywood hotel. "She doesn't intend with this lawsuit to seek publicity," Douglas L. Johnson, the woman's lawyer, told The Associated Press on Friday. "If anything, she's seeking damages for the invasion of her privacy." The lawsuit names Splash News, managing partner Gary Morgan, and paparazzo Eric Munn and Darren Banks, whom the lawsuit says the woman was "occasionally dating." Her claims against them include fraud, negligence, trespassing, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among others.
The woman is suing for unspecified damages and profits from the sale of the Ledger tape because she says the defendants took control of a hotel room she paid for, used the mini bar and filmed her without her permission. She also claims her reputation has been damaged as a result of being featured in the footage, which she wants destroyed. "She was deceived and doesn't feel too good about it," Johnson told the Associated Press. "She tried to physically throw them out of the hotel room." A People magazine representative confirmed the woman was freelancing for the magazine at that time and they were aware of the alleged encounter with Ledger, but there were too many questions surrounding the circumstances for People to write about it. The representative said the woman is no longer associated with the magazine and has not been since last year. Ledger's representative had no comment about the lawsuit. Phone calls to Splash by the Associated Press were not returned. The lawsuit says Ledger found out he was being taped by Munn on the hotel room's balcony and was very upset about it throughout the evening, but that the paparazzi calmed him down several times, supplied him with more cocaine and insisted the tape would be destroyed. A cocaine dealer arrived in the hotel room later in the evening, the lawsuit adds. The woman, who the lawsuit says appears in the video with her face blurred, claims she forgot about the tape until "Entertainment Tonight" began advertising footage. After airing a preview of the video in January, "ET" and sister show "The Insider" decided against broadcasting the footage. At that time, they said the video did not show Ledger using drugs. The video later surfaced internationally and online at the News of the World Online. In the video, Ledger said that he was "going to get serious (word bleeped) from my girlfriend" for being in the hotel room. The video also showed Ledger rolling cigarette paper and saying "I used to smoke five joints a day for 20 years." Ledger died Jan. 22 in his New York City apartment from taking six types of painkillers and sedatives.

Die hard fans of dead Hollywood star Heath Ledger have been warned against buying any memorabilia material claiming to be from new Batman movie The Dark knight, because it’s all fake. According to Internet reports, bogus traders in Los Angeles California have been selling ’signed’ Dark Knight photographs and posters featuring the late actor as The Joker to unsuspecting movie fans. But none of the items are authentic - because promotional material for the forthcoming movie has yet to hit the market, reports Perez Hilton. A representative for Warner Bros. Pictures, the film studio behind the project, says, "There are no Dark Knight posters or memorabilia connected to the movie on sale yet. We are investigating how they have been pirated." A source close to the Ledger family claims they "are appalled" Heath’s memory is being abused in such a way, adding, "They’re furious that pirates are cashing in on his death." Ledger suffered a fatal accidental overdose of prescription drugs in his New York City apartment on January 22nd.

Heath Ledger's dad is vowing to make sure the Hollywood star’s young daughter Matilda and ex. Michelle Williams are financially "taken care of", after they were left out of his will. The Brokeback Mountain actor was found dead in his New York City apartment in January after suffering an accidental drug overdose. Details of Ledger’s will which was filed in Australia in April 2003, were revealed yesterday in which he leaves everything to his parents Kim and Sally and his older sister Kate. A series of documents filed in Manhattan, New York’s Surrogate’s Court, obtained by the New York Daily News, shows Ledger had less than $145,000 worth of assets in New York at the time, including a $25,000 Toyota Prius and $20,000 in furniture. But the will was compiled before Ledger made the Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain in 2005, when he met his fiancee-to-be Williams - the mother of two-year-old Matilda. However, both Ledger’s representative Mara Buxbaum and his dad Kim have dismissed speculation Williams and little Matilda will not be provided for, reports Buxbaum says, "The story is getting taken out of context and media is speculating that this means Matilda and Michelle will not be taken care of. I want to make it very clear nothing could be farther from the truth." And in a statement released on Saturday afternoon, Kim adds: "Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family. They will be taken care of and that’s how Heath would want it to be." Ledger and Williams split in September 2007.
