He knows George will keep everyone more than entertained."Green - worth an estimated 7 billion - has also asked Ricky Martin to perform and it has been rumored Michael Jackson will make a guest appearance. George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley are to reform Wham!.The 80s pop duo, whose hits include 'Club Tropicana' and 'I'm Your Man', are reportedly planning to fly out to the US this summer to start recording tracks for a new album, with the possibility of a tour later. George made his wishes for a reunion known last year, and asked Andrew to join him on stage at his solo show at London's Wembley Arena last December. However, Andrew pulled out at the last minute because he was too nervous. A source said at the time: "Andrew was sick with nerves at the thought of appearing on stage after all these years, he backed out."Wham! split in 1986 and performed their last concert, 'The Finale', at the now demolished Wembley Stadium, in London, in June of that year. George has since enjoyed a phenomenally successful solo career. His debut album 'Faith' sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Andrew took a short break from pop after the band split but has continued to write songs for other artists under various pseudonyms.

George Michael's New Year's Eve show ended in disaster after a large quantity of music equipment was destroyed by fire. The singer - who is believed to have pocketed millions to perform at Russian billionaire Vladimir Potanin's private party - lost thousands of pounds worth of equipment when the blaze began at Potanin's Moscow estate. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Loads of his gear was melted and some of his band's instruments were wrecked when they were covered in ash."Other kit was damaged by water from fire crews. But I reckon George's pay check should just about cover it if Mr Potanin doesn't cough up."Equipment destroyed by fire included a 42 in plasma teleprompt and a variety of musical instruments. It has been reported the fire was started by a crew member experimenting with unused pyrotechnics from the show. Michael, 43, was already on a private jet back to the UK when the blaze began. The 'Careless Whisper' singer - accompanied by his lover Kenny Goss and a 40-strong entourage - was flown to Moscow by private jet to perform in front of 250 guests at Potanin's 20 acre estate. Potanin, who is the ninth richest man in Russia, is said to have personally asked Michael to perform and paid him in cash. The huge fee was the most ever paid for a single performance in Russia.

George Michael is desperate for his former Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley to join him on tour. The 'Freedom' singer - who is currently in the middle of the UK leg of his '25 Live' European tour - would love to reunite with Andrew but is not sure if he would agree to his offer. George is quoted as saying: "When we toured with Wham! they were pretty good times. I haven't asked Andrew, I'm too nervous. I'd love to do it but I don't know if he'll say yes. He might just not want the attention right now but I would love him to do it."The 43-year-old singer - who hadn't toured in 15 years before this run of shows - admits he has rediscovered his love for performing and is now planning another series of stadium concerts after this tour concludes. He said: "I've been shocked at how many young people have been at the shows. I've no doubt I'll be up for doing it again soon. It now seems the easiest thing in the world."George - who has been found asleep at the wheel of his car on several occasions and caught allegedly engaged in gay sex in a park this year -insists getting back on stage hasn't been as traumatic as he thought it would be.He added: "I must have been a very lonely man because this hasn't been frightening or difficult. It's been a worry-free experience."

George Michael

George Michael says cannabis keeps him "sane".The 'Careless Whisper' singer reveals marijuana helps inspire him but admits it can be a "terrible drug". In an interview with ITV, during which he openly smokes a cannabis joint, he said: "This stuff keeps me sane and happy. I couldn't write without it. I'd say it's a great drug - but obviously it's not very healthy."He added: "It's very good for creative people. But it can be a terrible, terrible drug."The 43-year-old pop superstar admits cannabis has dampened his ambition but is the only drug he doesn't regret taking. George said: "You must have achieved most of your ambitions before you try it because it chills you out and you lose your ambition."There's not another drug in life that I'm glad I took but grass. I think my life might be some where else if I'd chosen another avenue. If I drank as much as I smoked, my god, I would be like Keith Richards."The openly gay singer also confesses to being "sexually frustrated for years" as he struggled to conceal his homosexuality. He also talks about his crash with two parked cars, being found slumped at the wheel of his car and being caught 'cruising' for gay sex on Hampstead Heath, in London. George, who lives with his long-term partner Kenny Goss, said: "The public think I'm a man on the brink of a break down because I fell asleep in my car, hit a parked car and I cruise as a gay man. But I feel good, I live in the house of my dreams with the man of my dreams."'George Michael - I'm Your Man' will be shown on October 31st.

Party Boy George Michael

Pop star George Michael has been arrested and cautioned after being found once again slumped over the wheel of his car in London and in possession of cannabis, media said on Monday. The Sun splashed the story that Michael had been arrested across its front page. It was his fourth motoring incident in eight months, including three involving him asleep at the wheel, the newspaper said. A police spokesman said that a 43-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday, was cautioned by police for having an illegal drug on him and was released on bail pending inquiries on being unfit to drive. "At about 3.22 a.m. on Sunday morning officers were informed of a stationary vehicle with a driver inside causing an obstruction" in north London, the spokesman said, declining to confirm the identity of the driver as a matter of routine. He was taken briefly to hospital as a precautionary measure. The singer's partner, Kenny Goss, told The Sun that Michael had nothing to say. "He's fine and I've got him a McDonald's," he said. In February, Michael was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and admitted it had been his "own stupid fault."

Having sworn only last year that his pop days were over, George Michael has started a 47-gig tour called "25 Live," celebrating a quarter of a century in the music business."Well it just goes to show, doesn't it? Never say never," the 43-year-old singer wrote in the tour program."I truly believed that tonight would never happen, that I would never sing these songs to you again. But then I'm a fool."As the lights dimmed on a bare set on Saturday evening, the strains of "Waiting" echoed through the packed San Jordi hall, Michael coyly crooning: "You once said there's a way back for every man ... Is it too late to try again? Here I am!" Controversy is nothing new for Michael, who has won plenty of headlines for sex and drugs as well as for rock and roll.He was arrested in 1998 for engaging in a "lewd act" in a public toilet in Los Angeles, after which he ended years of speculation about his sexuality by announcing that he was gay. This year he was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs.
