Dennis Quaid, Heather Graham, and Maika Monroe were among the celebs who came out for the LA Premiere of At Any Price at the Egyptian Theatre last night. Glamour was in the air as both Heather and Maika shined in gorgeous gowns. Guests snacked on Sabra Hummus, Jackson’s Honest Chips, and Pink’s Hot Dogs before the screening. Zac Efron was unfortunately a “no-show.”

DENNIS QUAID TALKS ABOUT NEW TWINS

Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly are launching a attack at a Los Angeles hospital for misleading them about their newborn twins, who nearly died from a drug overdose. Quaid's twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were left fighting for their lives when they were mistakenly given 1,000 times the normal 10-unit dose of blood-thinning drug Heparin by staff at L.A.'s Cedar's Sinai Medical Center shortly after they were born to a surrogate mother last November. The twins have since been discharged after doctors gave them a clean bill of health and they are back home with their loving parents.Speaking about it for the first time, the Hollywood actor reveals he and his wife didn't know until the next morning that their children had been treated for a drug overdose. He tells the Los Angeles Times, "Our kids could have been dying and we wouldn't have been able to come down to the hospital to say goodbye."When you go into a hospital, you become like a child, like an infant in a way. The names of the drugs, we can't even pronounce. We put complete trust, and we are so vulnerable like a child, innocent and vulnerable in a hospital situation."

DENNIS QUAID SUING DRUG COMPANY

Hollywood star Dennis Quaid

Dennis Quaid's twins have made a full recovery after being given an accidental drug overdose.Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace - who were born via a surrogate mother on November 8 to Dennis and his wife Kimberly - have been discharged from Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where they were hospitalised on November 20 two days after being given 10,000 units of the anti-coagulant drug Heparin - which stops the blood from clotting.Babies are only allowed to have 10 units, and the unintentional overdose left the twins fighting for their lives. The Quaid's lawyer Susan E. Loggans said: "The twins are back home. Their condition is fantastic, they're smiling. Zoe looks like her mom, and Boone looks like his dad."They've fully recovered from the accident and it's doubtful they'll suffer any long-term effects from the overdose."The Quaids are very religious, and they believe their children's recovery is a real miracle."Dennis and Kimberly are now suing Baxter Healthcare Corporation, the manufacturer of Heparin, for failing to label vials of the drug properly.Court documents filed in Cook County, Illinois, yesterday state the couple are seeking over $50,000 in damages. The paper claim the twins "suffered and will continue to suffer injuries", while the family suffered invasion of privacy as a result of the accident.Loggans said: "On a negligence scale of one to 10, Baxter Corporation gets a 10."They knew medication errors due to product labelling resulted in death but failed to recall the drug. Each year there's 1.5 million medication errors in America - it is a national epidemic."Baxter Healthcare Corporation claim they are yet to be served the legal documents.A spokeswoman for the company, Erin Gardiner, said: "We have not been served with a lawsuit related to this incident, so we cannot comment on the lawsuit itself."This is not a product issue, the issue here is improper use of a product. Heparin is one of the most commonly used generic drugs in a hospital setting manufactured by seven companies in standard vials. It plays a vital role in the treatment of thousands of patients everyday when administered and used properly."Baxter strives to clearly differentiate products and dosages, but no amount of differentiation will replace the value of clinicians carefully reading and reviewing a drug name and dose."It has been revealed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was warned by America's Food and Drug Association (FDA) of the dangers of mistaking the low and high dose vials of heparin in February. In the safety alert dated February 6, 2007, the FDA and Baxter Healthcare Corporation highlighted the dangers of confusing 10 and 10,000 unit vials of the drug, as the labelling is very similar.

DENNIS QUAID'S TWINS FIGHTING FOR LIFE

Dennis Quaid's newborn twins are fighting for their lives after being given an accidental drug overdose. Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace - who were born to a surrogate mother on November 8 - are currently in intensive care at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Dennis and his wife Kimberley Buffington are keeping a bedside vigil. The tiny tots were mistakenly given 10,000 units of the anti-coagulant Heparin - which stops the blood from clotting - but babies are only allowed to have 10.The error happened because a technician made a storage mistake and a nurse failed to check a label.Dr. Michael L. Langberg, Cedars-Sinai's chief medical officer, said: "I want to extend my deepest apologies to the families who were affected by this situation. This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai."The 'Day After Tomorrow' star's publicist Cara Tripicchio added: "Dennis and Kimberly appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers and hope they can maintain their privacy during this difficult time."Dennis - who has a 15-year-old son, Jack Henry, with ex-wife Meg Ryan - and Kimberley were thrilled when Thomas and Grace arrived into the world almost two weeks ago.The excited parents released a statement, saying: "God has definitely blessed us."Dennis, 53, and Kimberly, 35, have refused to reveal the identity of the surrogate mother. The couple, who married on July 4 2004, have confirmed they are the twins' biological parents.
