People magazine paid a reported $1.5 million for pictures of Christina with her new baby, but the issue is believed to have sold just 1.3 million copies, about 100,000 less than average weekly sales.When Christina was told of the poor sales she ‘went crazy’ and took the drastic action, according to the New York Daily News. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony have reportedly agreed a $6 million deal with People for exclusive pictures of their twins, who were born last Friday. The magazine will also reveal the names the couple have chosen for their children. BWR, who also represent Jennifer, are not thought to have been involved in the deal.

Pop star Christina Aguilera wanted to deliver her son by Cesarean section, because she was too scared to give birth natural way. The singer gave birth to son Max Liron, her first child with husband Jordan Bratman, on January 12 at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Aguilera booked the operation in advance to make sure she didn't have to go through the pain of childbirth. She tells People magazine, "I'd heard horror stories about tearing. I really wanted a calm and peaceful environment. I didn't want any surprises." But the star also admits her husband had no such qualms and insisted on recording the whole experience. Hollywood actress Courtney Thorne-Smith gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday and comedian David Alan Grier welcomed a baby daughter into the world at the same hospital. Christina Aguilera also reportedly went into labor on Friday and was also taken to Cedars Sinai . The singer is believed to have given birth her first child with husband Jordan Bratman by Cesarean section at around 4pm on Friday afternoon but details of the birth have yet to be released to the media. According to E! the couple announced the happy event to friends and family by sending a text message which read, "Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!" The pair - who married in 2005 - was said to be considering the names Jackson Jake and Max for their son.
