“An Evening Under the Stars” for The Michael Bolton Charities

Lawrence Scott And Michael Bolton

The Michael Bolton Charities held “An Evening Under the Stars” fundraising dinner and auction in Bridgehampton, NY recently. This year’s honorees, receiving the Michael Bolton Lifetime Achievement Award, were Joe and Ali Torre of The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation for their commitment to ending domestic violence. The intimate evening, benefitting The Michael Bolton Charities, was produced by celebrity event planner Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events.

Not only did the talented Larry Scott produce the enchanting evening, but he donated the d├ęcor and services for the private fundraising event. The tent space was reminiscent of a starry night sky as crystals hanging from standing chandeliers, on the buffet table, glittered in the blue-hued lights. Metal lamps and white urns decorated each table, next to small white plants adding to the elegant ambiance of the evening.

Jesse Ventura

Anderson Cooper, Sarah Palin, and Bill O'Reilly have been critical of the jury's verdict in Jesse Ventura's recent lawsuit against the estate of Chris Kyle. Jesse Ventura explains that none of these pundits reviewed the actual evidence. He responds to these pundits on his podcast, "We the People with Jesse Ventura" available on iTunes and

One of the biggest misleading points fueled by Cooper, Palin, and O'Reilly is that Jesse Ventura's award money is coming from Chris Kyle's widow, Taya. However, this is completely false. The insurance company for Chris Kyle's book publisher (HarperCollins) not only paid all fees associated with the trial, but will also be paying the full $1.8 million that the jury awarded Ventura.

Here's quotes from Jesse Ventura's response to Anderson Cooper:

Anderson Cooper doesn’t know a thing about this case because he hasn’t seen one shred of actual evidence. And I did not sue a widow and her children...That suit took place January of 2012. He [Chris Kyle] did not die until February, I believe, of 2013. So when his wife, Taya, took over as executive of the estate, she knew the lawsuit was part of it. She knew that when she chose to do it. She didn’t have to come into the lawsuit. She made a choice to come into the lawsuit. The executer of the estate could be a lawyer, it could be a brother, it could be an uncle, and anyone could be named the executer of an estate. So she made the choice to come into this trial and I believe that choice was made for the precise reason Anderson Cooper is defending, to make it look like I sued a widow and her children. And you know Anderson Cooper didn’t realize that she had insurance. Insurance paid for everything. I didn’t have insurance. I had to pay for everything myself. And he also doesn’t know that during settlement talks I offered to drop it for no money if they would simply give me back my reputation. Admit it was fabricated and we’d move on. They told me that wouldn’t happen. The only thing they would talk is money. They tried to buy me out of this; I wouldn’t take it because I wanted my reputation.

Sarah Palin is a quitter:

It goes without saying that Sarah Palin isn't much of a reader or independent thinker. Instead of addressing the blatant facts she ignored during her smear campaign of Ventura, the former governor had this to say of her short time in office:

Killing Patton

Bill O’Reilly was be in the studio today recording his audiobook for Killing Patton, the fourth book in the #1 bestselling history series written by O’Reilly and his collaborator, Martin Dugard. The book follows the wildly successful Killing Jesus, Killing Lincoln, and Killing Kennedy, all of which were #1 bestsellers and narrated by O’Reilly.

The unabridged audiobook will be published on September 23, 2014, simultaneously with the print edition of the hardcover book Killing Lincoln, the top selling audiobook in the world in 2011, Killing Kennedy, the top selling audiobook in the world in 2012, and Killing Jesus, the top selling audiobook in the world in 2013. Not surprisingly, O’Reilly’s readings have been extremely well received. On his narration of Killing Jesus, Publishers Weekly commented that “O’Reilly is the perfect choice to narrate his own work. O’Reilly’s familiarity with the text is clear, and he reads it seamlessly in a powerful voice that captures listener attention.” On O’Reilly’s narration of Killing Lincoln, AudioFile magazine similarly wrote that “pacing is everything; O’Reilly is good at it.”

Bill O'Reilly

Hollywood star Jessica Alba is blasting right-wing Fox TV news host Bill O'Reilly after he suggested Jessica didn't know her history on his high rated News program. The actress took to her blog to defend herself after O'Reilly called her "misguided" for poking fun at a journalist during an inauguration event last week. Jessica asked the reporter what he liked most about President Obama, and when he refused to answer, she joked, "That's it, be neutral. Be Sweden about it." O'Reilly and TMZ both subsequently ridiculed Alba, insisting she meant Switzerland, not Sweden, but the actress has had the last laugh in cyberspace. On her blog, she writes, "I find it depressing that, in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country's history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity. "Last week, Mr. Bill O'Reilly and some really classy sites insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he (O'Reilly) is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people ... it's so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland. "I appreciate the name calling and the accurate reporting. Keep it up!" has since apologized for criticizing the actress, stating, "She is absolutely correct. Sweden was a neutral country ... 60 years ago. We apologize for not considering the political climate of the world in 1942 when we suggested she may have meant, 'Be Switzerland' -- a country that is currently neutral."

Fox News Icon Bill O'Reilly

Our casual friend from our favorite watering hole Langans on Broadway, Bill O'Reilly, is taking aim at NAS over the rapper’s protest outside the Fox television network’s headquarters in New York City last week. Nas joined human rights activists to deliver a 600,000-name petition calling for network executives to end their "pattern of racist attacks against Black Americans". But O’Reilly insists the protest was nothing more than a publicity stunt to boost sales of the rap star’s number one album, Untitled. Calling Nas a "vile rapper", the conservative host claims Nas’ new album is "a bomb, a disaster, a catastrophe," and the I Can hitmaker needed to do something to bring attention to his release. Nice to see Bill beating around the bush !

Rita Cosby's hit book

Rita Cosby on 'The O'Reilly Factor'

Rita Cosby's book "Blonde Ambition" The Anna Nicole Smith Story is shaking up the world with startling revelations on Anna Nicole Smith, Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern. Every media outlet is jumping at having Rita as a guest. With such appearances as The Insider, Extra, Access Hollywood and so many more, this book is sure to be the top seller of the year. And of course the top rated show 'The O'Reilly Factor' on Fox News Channel was a huge success. Bill asked excellent questions about the book which I'm sure shocked the viewers. Inside Editions Deborah Norville as always looked stunning as she interviewed Rita about the life and death of Anna Nicole. Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera said Friday there were no hard feelings after they engaged in a shouting match unusual even for a cable opinion program where the volume is frequently set to loud. No chairs flew and no noses were broken. But the finger-pointing verbal duel over illegal immigration on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" Thursday night became a water-cooler topic the next day. "Geraldo is a friend of mine and I think I respect him even more now, if that's possible, than I did before," O'Reilly told The Associated Press on Friday. But they disagree passionately on the issue, he said. "I've known him for 25 years," O'Reilly said. "Geraldo doesn't come on to pick a fight." Rivera said his sensitivity to a "massive witch-hunt" against illegal immigrants set him off Thursday. The two men were discussing the case of Alfredo Ramos, a man charged with manslaughter and suspected of being drunk when his car crashed into another in Virginia Beach last Friday. Two teen-aged girls were killed. Ramos, a Mexican who has been in the United States seven years, is allegedly in the country illegally. "He doesn't have a right to be in this country," O'Reilly said. He said he wanted immigration laws enforced while Rivera favored "open-border anarchy."Rivera said O'Reilly shouldn't be turning a drunken driving case into an illegal immigration issue. "Don't obscure a tragedy to make a cheap political point," Rivera told him. Rivera told the AP he has a particular sensitivity to the issue. His father, who came to New York from Puerto Rico in 1940, used to watch the news and pray that people who committed a crime weren't Puerto Rican, he said. "I think that illegal immigration is the gay marriage (issue) of this political season," he said. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory and Puerto Ricans were granted U.S. citizenship in 1917. Rivera, who is a guest on "The O'Reilly Factor" once a week, said he doesn't come on to be cowed or bullied by the host's opinions.O'Reilly called him after the taping to say, "that was lively, eh?" he said. "We're friends off camera," he said. "On camera, the fact of the matter is that we disagree on so many things that it always makes for good television." Rivera was host of a daytime syndicated talk show famous for its liveliness, where he even had a nose broken in a scrum. He's been working for Fox News since shortly after the 2001 terrorist attacks, and recently had a daytime syndicated news show produced by Fox canceled. His on-camera duel with O'Reilly seems to have struck a chord, judging by the requests he's getting to talk about the issue, Rivera said. The tape was played a couple of times Friday on ABC's "Good Morning America." At one point in the debate, Rivera told O'Reilly, "don't be ... Lou Dobbs' mom." CNN anchor Dobbs has made a crusade of illegal immigration on his program the past year. That was a new insult even for a TV host used to them. "I have been insulted by your organization and many other organizations," O'Reilly told the AP, "so nothing I hear surprises me."

Bill O'Reilly got it right on this fraud

Fraud and Fake ! Frederic Prince von Anhalt (bottom), husband of aging Hollywood sex symbol Zsa Zsa Gabor, Thursday said he has filed suit against a US broadcaster for libel in case involving another US sex symbol. Von Anhalt is seeking 10 million dollars damages from the Rupert Murdoch-owned Fox broadcaster over its coverage of his claims that he fathered a child with the late Anna Nicole Smith, von Anhalt told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa. He has filed the libel suit claiming defamation of character in Superior Court in Santa Monica, he said. The sharp-tongued Fox commentator Bill O'Reilly called von Anhalt a 'fraud' for claiming paternity of the six-month-old baby Dannielynn, who has become the prize in a scramble for claim to fame and fortune among at least four bidders who are claiming custody. Smith, the curvaceous, tragedy-plagued gossip icon, was 39 when she collapsed and died on February 8 in a Florida hotel. After 22 days of dispute over who should have possession of her body, she was buried in the Bahamas next to her son, Daniel, who died inexplicably in her hospital room last September after she gave birth to Danielynn. Fox has already apologized to Anhalt for the remarks, but 'I'm not going to take this,' the 63-year-old pretender to German nobility said. Von Anhalt claimed to be Danielynn's father in a paternity suit filed in mid February, saying he had a ten-year-long intimate relationship with the one-time model. 'I know that we were together often in January 2006. I am convinced that she's my baby,' he insisted in the interview. Danielynn was born in September. In addition to von Anhalt, the key players in the custody battle are Smith's estranged mother Virgie Arthur; Howard K Stern, Smith's companion in recent years who is listed as the father on Dannielynn's birth certificate; and photographer Larry Birkhead, a former lover of Smith who also claims paternity of the child. Smith rose to fame in 1993 when she was named Playboy's Playmate of the Year. She married oil tycoon J. Marshall Howard, 89, in 1994 and was still battling for possession of half of the late Marshall's 1.6-billion-dollar estate when she died. Danielynn stands to inherit the money if and when the case is settled. Von Anhalt is the eighth husband of the Hungarian-born stage and screen personality Zsa Zsa Gabor, believed to be 90 years old, whose fame as an actress eroded into a tabloid tale of broken marriages, contentious lawsuits and scandalous behaviour. Von Anhalt, who purchased the title 'Prince Frederic of Anhalt' as an adult, has admitted in interviews that there's not much to Gabor's life behind the mansion walls.

Fake Prince Frederic Von Anhalt

You are a fraud and a fake. You had to buy your Prince title. You are not a real Prince. Bill O'Reilly was right. You never slept with Anna Nicole Smith. He called it like it is. I hope Fox will fight this case and get you in depositions to show the world what a FRAUD you really are. Zsa Zsa Gabor should divorce you. That will be REAL NEWS ! PLEASE SUE ME !

Bill O'Reilly

Bill O'Reilly walked out for his appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show With David Letterman" "That's cute, that's nice," Letterman said on Friday night's show. Letterman and the Fox News Channel talk show host are still fighting from a confrontation in January, when Letterman told him "I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap."Before O'Reilly even came out, Letterman made his feelings clear. "I'm secretly hoping when Bill O'Reilly comes out here, I'll have the opportunity to call him a bonehead," Letterman said. They discussed the Iraq war and the upcoming midterm election, with O'Reilly saying that Americans are depressed by the progress of the Iraq War, and that they'd rather watch escapist entertainment like "Dancing with the Stars" than the news. He asked Letterman: "Are you going to be on `Dancing with the Stars'?""Ha ha," Letterman said. "You bonehead."As part of their war with each other, O'Reilly said Letterman was guilty of oversimplifying a complicated situation. "You're putting words in my mouth," he told Letterman at one point."You're putting artificial facts in your head," Letterman responded. O'Reilly didn't get angry with Letterman during his appearance, although at one point he told an apparent heckler in the audience to "knock it off."
