James Tupper and Anne Heche's television show together has been canned.Men In Trees will wrap with new episodes this summer, and won’t return for a new season.Heche and Tupper went from playing on-screen lovers on the show to a real-life couple in 2006.

Anne Heche and her co-star lover have to be pried apart after shooting romantic scenes.The actress, who began romancing fellow 'Men in Trees' star James Tupper after splitting from estranged husband Coleman Laffoon, admits it is hard to control their passions once the cameras stop rolling. Anne said: "Usually when you're doing a love scene with somebody you're not in love with, it's like you kiss and you kiss and then you think, 'Oh, great.' And then they yell, 'Cut,' and you just split apart right away and act like you don't really like the person."But when they yell, 'Cut,' we just lay there and wait for the next take to go!"The 38-year-old star also said she is relieved her romance with James is out in the open.Anne added to US TV show 'Extra': "We're so much more comfortable now that our feelings are exposed and everybody knows about them."When asked if she and James want to start a family, Anne - who already has a five-year-old son, Homer, with Coleman - said: "Got to leave it open, you know what I'm saying?"

Anne Heche gives her son as much love as possible over the phone.The Canada-based actress revealed having a long-distance relationship with her five-year-old son Homer - who lives primarily with his father, Heche's estranged husband Coley Laffoon in Los Angeles - is heart-breaking. She said: "It's hard. You have got to open up your heart as if he is right in front of you."The 'Men in Trees' star - who is currently dating her co-star James Tupper -flies to Los Angeles twice a month to be with her son, who in turn makes the trip to see her fortnightly. She said: "Homer flies a lot, twice a month to see me."Heche - who is embroiled in a bitter court battle with Laffoon, who filed for divorce this February - says despite her recent troubles she couldn't be happier living in a log cabin in Vancouver with her new love.The 38-year-old actress told US TV show 'The View': "I'm so happy. But, I don't think anybody says, 'Yay, divorce. That was a lot of fun.' "

Anne Heche has moved in with her boyfriend James Tupper.The blonde actress is now living with her 'Men In Trees' co-star in his west Vancouver property, close to where the hit US TV show is filmed.Tupper claims living with the 38-year-old actress "feels a little bit like heaven".He told People magazine: "We are just exploring our relationship and it has been going very well. Where is it going? I don't know. Ask me again in a year."The couple began dating in January despite both being married - Heche to cameraman Coley Laffoon and Tupper to former actress Katherine Mayfield.They remain in the midst of divorce proceedings, with Heche also involved in a bitter custody battle with Laffoon over their five-year-old son Homer.The couple recently spent three months with Homer in Los Angeles and Tupper feels the experience brought them closer together.The 42-year-old actor said: "Homer is unbelievable, just like his mom. I wish people could meet her in person. She has such a sparkle and such a love for people and she works so hard. She is so dedicated to all the good things."
