He also warned her death would not come from drugs, but from smoking, and told her it would be "a long, slow, painful death" in a bid to shock her into quitting all her addictions. He says, "I want people to understand - even if they give her one cigarette they’re causing her harm."She has a small amount of emphysema in the top of her lungs. It’s negligible, but it could lead to something a lot more serious."

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse's loving father will force jailed hubby Blake Fielder Civil to enter rehab when he is released from prison, in a last ditch effort to save his daughter from a life of alcohol and drugs. Fielder-Civil is currently awaiting sentence in London’s Pentonville Prison after pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) in relation to an attack on bar landlord James King in June 2006.The 25-year-old could walk free as early as July 21st, following his sentencing. And dad Mitch is determined to make sure that Fielder-Civil is drug-free after his time behind bars, because he wants to make sure his rehab singer daughter isn’t tempted back to a life of wild partying. He says, "If he comes out, they can’t carry on as they have. I don’t think he’s been clean in prison. He’s a fit young man - he could carry on the rest of his life like that - but Amy can’t. If he comes out he will go straight into rehab."

Fielder-Civil has previously denied taking any drugs in the prison.But pictures published by British newspaper The Sun appear to show him smoking heroin. A prison source tells the publication, "Blake takes heroin whenever he can get hold of it. His claims to be clean are a fallacy and it is obvious he remains dependent. "There is nothing to suggest he won’t carry on when he’s outside and back with Amy. If she takes him back into her life when she is trying to get clean it will be a recipe for disaster." In January, The Sun also exposed a video of Winehouse, 24, seemingly smoking a crack pipe in her apartment after taking a cocktail of other drugs.

Rehab singer Amy Winehouse's jailed hubby Blake Fielder Civil has written a letter of apology to the pub landlord he assaulted, according to media reports. Fielder-Civil is currently behind bars in London’s Pentonville Prison awaiting sentence for causing grievous bodily harm to pub owner James King in an incident in June 2006.The 26-year-old was later charged with approaching King to try to fix the outcome of the trial by offering him a $400,000 bribe. Now Fielder-Civil has sent a handwritten note expressing his remorse to victim King after pleading guilty to both counts at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London last month. The letter reads: "I hope you don’t mind me writing, I think it’s okay to now I’ve gone guilty. I just wanted to apologize again from the bottom of my heart." But the letter has failed to convince King to forgive Fielder-Civil.The 36-year-old tells British newspaper The News of the World, "I hope both Blake and Amy rot. The first time I met them was when his boot was smashing my face."Since then I’ve been to hell and back, all because he’s stupid enough to think he could buy his freedom through his marriage to her and her millions." King has also opened up about Fielder-Civil’s co-defendant Anthony Kelly, 25, who allegedly threatened to kill him if he didn’t withdraw his claims in court. King adds: "He (Kelly) was very threatening. He told me I wouldn’t be giving evidence against Blake. He said Blake would pay me to withdraw my statement and I would be flown to Spain before the trial."Kelly’s men are not to be messed with. They said I could be knocked unconscious, blindfolded and locked in the boot of the car if necessary. But I still wanted to give evidence." Winehouse’s spouse, who faces up to five years behind bars for his crimes, and Kelly, who pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, are due to be sentenced later this year.

He tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper, "She’s got emphysema. It’s in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month, (doctors) painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe."With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She’s got 70 per cent lung capacity."To think this could happen to my beautiful 24-year-old daughter’s life is preposterous. But if drugs mean more to her than breathing properly, then so be it. But the doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her…" And Mitch claims the singer has suffered another health scare during her time in hospital - a scan revealed a lump in her chest, although it is not cancerous. He adds, "After lots of tests they found a lump in Amy’s chest. A scan has shown it’s not cancerous and there are no traces of cancer in her blood. But they might need to double check. There is a chance she might need a biopsy. If they need to cut the lump out then that will mean a massive and painful operation and a lot of recuperation. At the moment, that doesn’t look likely."
