Un-Talented Alan Cumming is giving up on theatre to pursue his big screen career, because he can no longer afford to live on a stage actor’s wage. The actor finds the theatre’s pitiful pay checks a struggle. And the breaking point came earlier this year when Cumming’s appearance in renowned play The Seagull earned him less than he was paying his own personal assistant. He says, "It’s not been a high-earning year. I just did The Seagull off Broadway. I was getting paid less than half what I pay my assistant. When I did Garfield I did two days and made a ton."Those are the things that allow me to go off and do the piddly (tiny) little things. But none of this theatre lark any more - I need to earn a bit of money."

ALAN CUMMING BEGGING FOR MORE MONEY
Un-Talented Alan Cumming is giving up on theatre to pursue his big screen career, because he can no longer afford to live on a stage actor’s wage. The actor finds the theatre’s pitiful pay checks a struggle. But none of this theatre lark any more - I need to earn a bit of money."Editors Note: Maybe if you would stop hanging out at clubs all night long, you could act better and they would pay you more. Every time I have run into you in New York City you act like a asshole. You are rude and not a nice guy. What do you need a personal assistant for? To hold your lube?

The wierdo's 140 guests, included Sir Ian McKellen, Geri Halliwell, Neve Campbell, Rufus Wainwright and Monica Lewinsky, boarded a boat in London and sailed down the Thames to Greenwich, where the ceremony was held at the 175-year-old Old Royal Naval College.

"Not only are we so happy to be able to celebrate our love for each other, but also to be able to do it in a country that properly recognizes the rights of same-sex couples," Cumming said in a statement. "As residents of America we would have loved to marry there, but we hope that soon the civil rights that we have been afforded in the U.K. will be available to all gay Americans, and we look forward to celebrating not only our marriage, but the end of prejudice." Cumming, 41, and Shaffer have been together for two years and live in New York City.
