Surprise! Sir Patrick Stewart invites Whoopi Goldberg to return to Star Trek.

The actor officially invites Whoopi Goldberg to join season two of Star Trek: Picard, saying "It was wonderful having you, and we cannot wait to have you with us again one more time.”

"Star Trek was one of the great experiences from the beginning to the end," Goldberg responded. "I had the best, best, best time — best time ever."

After 18 years, the actor is returning to his reprising role as Captain Picard in the Star Trek: Picard series – he shares what it’s like to step back into the character after nearly two decades.
