In its 9th year the 2016 Atlantic City Cinefest continues to be one of the top most premiere film festivals in the state. This weekend Atlantic City prepares for a weekend of film October 14th, 15th & 16th. Actor / Producer Keith Collins known for cult hits like ("The Jersey Devil", "The Meat Puppet", "The Coffee Shop") has had much success with his films shown at the festival many of which have been signed to distribution deals in major retail outlets, VOD and theatrical.



Collins, one of last years honorees with a Lifesaver creative growth award is back at the Cinefest this year with three projects he produced "The Atlantic Motel" starring Dan Grimaldi ("The Sopranos"), AJ Mattioli's "Words" and "Larger Than Life: A Boyband Story" Starring Edvin Ortega ("Orange is the New Black"). "The Evangelist" a psychological thriller that Collins stars in premiered last year and is being released worldwide in 2017 by ITN Distribution. Two big projects Collins recently completed with colleagues Doug Bollinger ("Waltzing Anna") and Cory Green ("The Jersey Devil") are the highly talked about thrillers "The Samaritans" and "Rock Paper Scissors" which will also have their run at a later date at the Cinefest as well. The festival gets thousands of submissions each year.


This year Atlantic City Cinefest will present more than 50 feature, short and documentary films from around the globe. Lifesaver award recipients this year are Scott L. Schwartz who played Bruiser in “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen" along with Emmy Award Winner Blanche Baker, who will host a Saturday night screening of the cult classic, John Hughes' “Sixteen Candles.” Baker, daughter of Oscar-nominated actress Carroll Baker, plays Ginny in the film, Molly Ringwald's older sister. Other Lifesaver winners in the past have included Chris Mulkey ("Boardwalk Empire"), Kevin Smith, Brian O'Halloran ("Clerks"), Dominique Swain ("Face/Off", "Lolita"), Martin Kove ("The Karate Kid"), Joe Piscopo ("SNL") to name a few. We hear the festival vip celebrity hotspots this year are Dusk Night Club in Caesars Casino and the closing night soiree at the famed AC Irish Pub.
