BROOKLYN, N.Y. – As part of the revitalization of the Coney Island area, Wahlburgers, the popular fast casual burger restaurant chain, is coming to Coney Island in June and will be hosting an all-day job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. beginning Thursday, May 28 through Saturday, May 30. The fair will be held onsite at 3015 Stillwell Ave., where managers will meet with applicants who want to become a part of the newest outpost of the burger hotspot.

“Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, we are thrilled to be at the forefront of the revitalization of Coney Island with the opening of Wahlburgers, in turn creating job opportunities for people in the area,” said partner, John Cestare of Big Apple Burgers. “Growing up in New York, visiting Coney Island was a family tradition, which is why I feel a personal connection to having our first New York location open in a place that is treasured by so many.”

The Wahlburgers team will be interviewing to fill more than 75 positions, including: management, restaurant supervisors, wait staff, bartenders, chefs, hosts, retail and cafe personnel and bus staff.

The new 6,800-square-foot restaurant and bar will be the first to open in New York, and will share all of the signature characteristics of the flagship Wahlburgers in Hingham, Mass., which has made the popular burger joint a smashing success. In addition to seating for up to 300 guests, Wahlburgers at Coney Island will offer a rooftop patio with a retractable glass roof for dining, an indoor-outdoor bar and a walk-up window serving tasty fare and specialty cocktails. A retail shop will also offer branded Wahlburgers merchandise, including T-shirts, key chains, shot glasses and more.

The perks of working at Wahlburgers are endless, especially when it comes to celebrity privileges. Founders and celebrity brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, are known to frequent their restaurants, giving the venue a true, family-owned feeling. As the subject of A&E Network’s Emmy-nominated reality show of the same name, the burger restaurant promises to be star-studded with appearances by many famous names and faces.
